Good Morning! Did you maybe decorate your Christmas tree this weekend? My Grandkids were doing just that when I spoke with my daughter yesterday. This is, of course, a House Mouse design featuring those adorable bunnies, Happy Hoppers. They are decorating their little tree with their favorite ornaments, just like you and I will be doing soon. Enjoy the rest of your day. Until later..............

BOOTS

Is everyone sick of turkey? Thanksgiving was nice and everything was delicious, but by now I think I have had my fill of turkey, so guess I will be freezing the meat for using later. Got up at 4:30 Friday morning so could be out there at 5:30-6:00 with my daughter shopping. She did manage to get something they really wanted, so was worthwhile. We got home at 4:00 in the afternoon and I don't mind telling you I was pooped!!! Today's card is a stamp from My Favorite Things. I like there stamps, but I don't like that nothing has a head!! The designer paper is by Debbie Mumm, whom I have loved since my decorative painting days! Will probably switch to Christmas Cards now, as the holidays are so close at hand. Hope you have a great Sunday. Until later...........

Happy Thanksgiving Day!

Happy Thanksgiving! Hope you're able to share the day with those you love. Remember those that are no longer with us. And pray that not another Thanksgiving goes by with our troops fighting wars far from home. Don't eat too much. Until later............

Angel Baby

Hi. Today was my daughter's birthday. We took Heidi and the kids out to eat after work and she opened her gifts. Brian was unable to come with us because he was skiing with the high school ski club. Wow, time flies, in some ways it seems like just yesterday that she was a little girl and we stayed home and did all kinds of things together every day, yet here she is a Mom, a teacher, a wife with a full life of her own. Her Dad and I could not be prouder of the woman she has become, of the grandchildren she has given us, and that she lives close so we can be a part of her life. Happy Birthday, honey, we love you! Todays card is a little Chirstmas angel from Cornish Heritage Farms. She is just so darling, she stands alone with little embellishment needed. Tomorrow night when I get home from work, will have to make pies and such for Thanksgiving. Hope to post tomorrow night, but will have a Thanksgiving Card for thursday.
Until later......

American Cowboy

Hi Y'All. This card was inspired by a visit to Michelle Zindorf's blog and tutorial. I loved how she did the flag with just a sweep of the inkpad across the paper. The cowboy stamp is from Stampin Up and I have had him since August when I went to a Stampin Up party. Today was a dreary rainy day here, with temps just above freezing. Keep warm. Until later........

My Favorite Cookie Recipe

Hi folks, it's Sunday already! Time flies whether your having fun or not. I did get some quality stamping time yesterday! I bought these recipe cards at Michaels for $ 1.00 for the package. I knew I wanted to put them on the front of a card with a recipe for the holidays as a Christmas card. I stamped the gingerbread man and decorated him. I wrote out my recipe, which you just have to try. These cookies are so good. The recipe is from my neice, Lisa and it was her Mother-in-law's recipe. Everyone who has tried them, can't say enough how good they are. The inside says "Sweet and Delicious holiday wishes!" I also posted it on SCS for the weekly color challenge of red, black and kraft paper. Hope your Sunday is relaxing. Until later.............

Asian Beauty

Hello. Had a small creative hiccup the past two days. Ever go to your stamp room and nothing you do or try looks good. That's what happended to me, so I turned out the light and left to recoup! This morning I got up, had breakfast and went up to the "room", took stock of all the beautiful stamps I have yet to put ink to and chose this beautiful girl. This is a stamp I saw on Michelle Zindorf's blog, and fell in love with. It is by Innovative Stamp Creations, and is on a sheet called, friendship. Isn't she just delicately lovely? She was fun to color and incase you can't read the saying, it says, "Though we travel the world over to find the beautiful, we must carry it with us or we find it not" Ralph Waldo Emerson. It's a stamp by PSX. You can always click on the picture and it will show an enlarged version. Well, back to the stamp room while I am HOT! ha ha. Until later................

Give us this Day our Daily Bread

It's Wednesday, my favorite day, the last day of work for the week for me! Have to grocery shop for Thanksgiving tomrrow. Going to my daughters for Thanksgiving, but we all bring something. Her birthday is Tuesday, her Dad's is Wednesday and Thursday is Thanksgiving, so we have a full week ahead. Have to make birthday Cake too! Today's card is from Magenta Rubber Stamps. It's from my sisters collection, which she is selling off. I went over and got what I wanted, and this was one of them. Such a lovely scene of a little girl giving Thanks. Stamped on glossy card stock and colored with Copic and Tombow Markers. Until later....

Happy Tuesday. It snowed some today. Was a slow go to work this morning, because it was snowing in bands, so you would drive out of it and then back into it and it would really be coming down. But not much on the ground. Two hours away near where my sister lives, they have had 28 inches, but it is ski country, so they are pleased. Todays card is such a precious scene. The stamp is by Paper Inspirations ( they have the greatest old prints made into stamps). I stamped with black dye ink onto glossy card stock and colored with copic and tombow markers. Hope you have a nice Wednesay. Until later....

Over the River and Through the Woods

It's Monday! My least favorite day, but it is almost over! The bills are playing on Monday Night Football tonight and there is no snow, so nothing to rag on Buffalo about, except they aren't playing very well! Today's card is a stamp from Holly Berry House, a big beautiful stamp.
The center is actually blank, but I stamped another stamp I bought years ago online unmounted and I don't know who makes it. I use it alot though, because I love the scene it creates. I am buying one or two copic markers every time I go to the stamp store and I am starting to like them better than I originally did. I still go back to the Tombows regularly. It is snowing now after I just said no snow, so our reputation as the snow capital of the world will be upheld on national TV on the Monday night football game! Until later.........

Thomas Kinkade Decorated Glass Block

Hello. Our stamp club decorated glass blocks for Christmas, but I wasn't able to attend after I went and got all the stuff to do it. So tonight, I put it together. I think it turned out nice. The paper is from Cornish Heritage Farms, and is of course, Thomas Kinkade. By putting one light bulb on a cord (like you use in Christmas village houses), into the glass block, the light is concentrated on the house and it looks like his pictures actually do!. To finish it, I tied a wired ribbon around the glass block and made a matching bow to attach. The small snowflake and rhinestone finsihed it off. Weather is supposed to turn for the worse tomorrow and they are calling for snow all week! I guess I better find my winter boots, coat and gloves and scarf tomorrow! Until later....

Beautiful Buck

Hi again. Today is opening season in New York State for hunting deer with a shotgun. I have mixed feelings, as I had a mother who hunted along side my Dad and cooked venison (we kids didn't like it). But, because I live in the city and we have a small herd of deer who still live here and frequent our bird feeder all winter, it is hard to look at these beautiful animals and picture shooting one of them. They do bait and shoot in our city in October of every year because the herd can't sustain itself anymore because of rapidly disappearing open space. So I understand the logistics of hunting, it's my heart that won't go along with it. Anyway, the card for today is
a beautiful buck by Serendipity Stamps and the birch trees on the front are by Northwoods Stamp Co. The circle in the stamp was removed and the deer was stamped on a separate piece of paper and mounted behind the circle when completed. I made a paper insert for the inside of the card to hide the cut out of the deer. Have a great Saturday. Until later.......

Happy Childhoods Last Forever

Hello. Today was a busy day so I am blogging really late. I feel a little congested and feel like I might be getting a cold. Haven't had a cold in a couple of years, might just be my sinuses though, with the weather up and down the way it is. Kids were here this afternoon. Megan and I made five clothes pin dolls and as predicted, Michael played video games and watched TV. I tried to talk him into joining us and making a snowman or a reindeer for their Christmas tree, but he told me he hates art and hates to paint especially. He is a stitch!!!!!! Today's card is a stamp by Cornish Heritage Farms and is all about cherishing every moment you have with your little ones. Time passes so quickly and they are little for such a short time. The designer cardstock is from K and Co. scrap pad, Kazoo Kids. Besides needing to clean tomorrow, hope to take it easy and feel better. Until later..................

Angel Kisses

Yeah, it's Wednesday, my last workday for the week! Love this part-time stuff. Tomorrow there is only a half day of school, so my grandkids will be spending the afternoon with me. It is supposed to rain, so Megan and I are going to make clothespin dolls. Michael will probably play video games or something like that. Today's card is a wire angel from Stampendous. The sentiment is also from the same company, although purchased years apart. The white background embossed paper was done with a cuddlebug folder. Happy Birthday, Carol. Until later....

LEAP INTO THE HOLIDAYS

Welcome. Hope everyone had a good Veteran's Day. And I hope everyone kept all those in harms way in their hearts and prayers, and remembered all who served this country when called upon and did it with honor. We should also remember all those who wait and worry while their loved one is fighting for our country. Besides the wait and worry, they must go on with their lives and raise children on their own and take responsibility for the day to day running of businesses and households. Today's card is a deer stamp by The Cat's Pajamas. The designer paper is by daisyd's. Corners are sizzex dies. Until later.............

The Mitten

Hi. It was cold this morning! Made me think I should get my boots and gloves and winter coat out so I know where everything is, because one of these mornings I am sure I am going to need them. I used a large foam stamp of a mitten from AC Moore, to trace onto the card stock fold, leaving an area on the fold to form a card. The snowman is from Northwoods. Trimmed the top with some faux fur I bought by the yard at JoAnns. Have a good Tuesday, Until later........

FLY AWAY

Hi. Had a busy weekend, time flies on the weekend. By the time you get everything done that you have to do, there isn't any time left to do what you want to do (STAMP). I did manage to finish this card today, that I started two days ago. This is a Stamp Camp stamp, and I love the little fairies emerging from the water to greet the little victorian girl. And I remembered I had the "If only I had wings, I would be there with you" saying, which tied in nicely. Hope you had a great weekend, snow in the forecast again

SWEET TEDDY

Hello. My sister reminded me today that I hadn't blogged yesterday! Had a couple of busy days. She and I went out shopping and for lunch on Friday all day, and today we had another family gathering and made a dish and wrapped a gift and the day was gone before I knew it. This is a card I made for a friend who likes Teddy Bears. It's a House Mouse design. Reminds me of my husband, he falls asleep everytime he gets a good book in his hands too. Hope everyone enjoyed their day. Got a lot colder here and hailed tonight. Looks like our mild weather is a thing of the past. Until later.............

ANTIQUES

Another beautiful sunny day, thursday turned out to be. Wow, we are sure getting some fine weather. Supposed to turn cold next week though. Hope my friends at stamp club had a great time making the glass block decoration, I couldn't attend, but I am going to go ahead and put mine together, as I bought all the stuff. Will put it up on here when I am finished. Today's card is a new purchase from BSS. It's a stamp from Rubber Cottage, Medina, Ohio. The old house just caught my eye Wednesday when I ran to the stamp store. I had a stamp for the inside that says, " I love everything old, old books, old wine, old friends

SIMPLIFY

Hello. Hope your Wednesday was a good one. Doesn't it seem great to turn the TV on or ride in the car with the radio on and NOT hear those annoying political spots? I ran to Buffalo Stamps and Stuff on my lunch hour today. It was so warm I had the car window down and no jacket on. It's November 5th for pete's sake and it's Buffalo! We'll take it. I got the above stamp today, it's by Cornish Heritage Farms, and it is just stunning. I also stamped it on glossy card stock in several colors, beautiful. Have tomorrow off, hoping to get all the halloween stamps put away and my table semi cleaned up so I have room to stamp. Hope you have a great Thursday....Until later.............

NEW YORK STYLE

We, like you I'm guessing, are watching the election results tonight. Suppose we will have to wait until tomorrow to find out who wins. This card is by Stamps Happen. This gal is really styling! Reminds me of the 50's fashion mags, or old movies! We had temps in the high 60's today, so all you folks that are reading this from far away, don't believe everything you hear about Buffalo weather!!! I will be glad that the endless commercial rants from the candidates
have now ended. May the best man win!

Election Day! No soapbox here, just go do it.....VOTE! It's so important.

New Baby Boy

Ah Monday. Today's card is for a new baby boy who will join our family in December. He's not done yet! Can't wait to meet him. Thanks to my friend Cathy in Arizona for the gift of the ribbon that says sleep tight, so cute. The stamp is a house mouse design. We are experiencing Indian Summer. Was nearly 60 today and they are saying it will remain like this all week. The leaves are just about done falling and are brown, red, yellow, orange and crispy. The air smells so good. We raked on Sunday and there is a big stack by the street. Hope we don't get high winds before they pick them up or our neighbors across the street will have them in their yard!
Have a great Tuesday everyone....Until later........

HAPPY BEE DAY

Hi. Yesterday, we took a trip to a new Hobby Lobby store that opened near us. Wow, nice store. We had experienced these stores when we went to convention in Ohio, so it is so nice to have one in our area now. I bought the above stamp, it's a Stamps Happen stamp. I got a lot of new "stuff" and some new stamps too! I was a happy camper. Will probably start putting up some Christmas cards soon, as I have so many beautiful holiday stamps. Gotta go, the pond is calling...........Until later...............

For Anissa

Hello. Well Halloween is over, had very few kids last night, and November is here already! Has everyone had their fill of candy? Can Thanksgiving and Christmas be far behind?? Yikes! Going to be a nice warm fall day tomorrow, so we are going to get up early tomorrow morning and get the pond plants cut down and dropped below the water and bring in all the ornamental stuff around the pond. Patio furniture needs to be covered and cushions brought in for the winter. Todays card is for Anissa. We met on line when she responded to one of the cards I posted (don't you just love the internet!!!). And she's not even a rubber stamper! She mentioned that she loves Teddy bears, so I told her I would make her a card with my favorite Teddy Girl Bear and send it to her. After all the cards with the halloween/fall colors that I have posted for the past several weeks, it was nice to make something really simple and pastel. Well , this is it, and it is on the way to you, Anissa. Hope you like her as much as I do. Until later..........
