BSS-9th Monday Challenge-Stamp on Black

Hello. Happy Labor Day. Enjoying a quiet day at home today. Yesterday we attended the wedding of our niece. Everything was beautiful. It was an outdoor wedding and the weather could not have been better. The reception was wonderful and was good to see all our other nieces and nephews all together and having a great time. Rick and I won the anniversary dance.

All married couples start the dance, then they start to delete couples by how long you have been married. Well, when the dance was over, Rick and I were the last ones dancing. Ouch! Besides the fact that we have been married forever, I like to think it was a young crowd, haha! Interestingly enough, the last three couples on the dance floor were us, and two of Rick's brothers and their wives.

Today's challenge for Buffalo Stamps and Stuff is to stamp on black. Not something I do often, but it has a nice result and is pretty easy. Choose a stamp that has lots of open space for coloring, or like the horse above very detailed.

The horse is by Serendipity Stamps. I stamped with Stazon, cotton white. If you use a pigment ink, like Brilliance, heat set it before coloring. I then just highlighted areas with a white colored pencil. I put the dot in the eyes with a gel pen. Papers are by Basic Gray. Flowers are Prima, with twine bows for centers. Sentiment is by Art Impressions. Inside sentiment, not shown, is by Stamp Oasis.

The Sun Flower is by Whipper Snapper. I also stamped with Stazon, cotton white. I used Lyra Rembrandt colored pencils to color this image. I chalked the clouds in. Papers are Basic Gray and My Minds Eye. Sentiment is by Great Impressions. Inside sentiment, not shown, is by Stampa Rosa.

Hope these samples inspire you to try this. Thanks for stopping by. Until later............

I love both of these cards! I love how the horse stands out on the black and the fairy under the flower is so cute. Great cards!

Both of these are stunning, but I am really loving the first one. You sure do like horses!! The paper is gorgeous and I adore those flowers you've made. The effect looks fantastic with the image you've chosen.

Forgot to mention: integrity. Seems most people are lacking it these days, so it would seem that perhaps that is the reason you and Rick were amoungst the last couples dancing, as well as fellow family members, they must have had a good mama :) Definitely not the age factor!!
