BSS-Monday Challenge-Use a Word Stamp on Card Front

Good Monday Morning.  Time for another Buffalo Stamps and Stuff Monday Challenge.  Today's challenge is to make a card using a word stamp as the main image on the FRONT of the card.  I have used a beautiful Christmas sentiment by Shady Tree Lane.  I stamped it on the nestibilities die label 4.  The paper is Graphic 45.  I cut the larges die from the opposite side of the same paper to mount my sentiment on.  I cut one die
of the Fleur De Lis Shapeabilities Pendants and cut it in half on the diagonal and mounted it evenly on either side of the largest labels 4 die cut.  The flowers are Prima.

Hope you have time to try a card using a word stamp as the focal point.  Thanks for stopping by today.
Until later..............

Santa Loves Puppies Too

Hi. Busy weekend.  Our home town team won the Hockey game after a dull start on Saturday night.  Is so much more exciting when you are winning.  Heidi bought tickets for her entire family and us to attend the hockey game in honor of her father's birthday.  Michael sat next to his Papa by request and was so excited to be at his first game and sharing it with Rick.  Life is good.  Our home town Football team won today, and our local high school won the state championship for the first time ever.

Today's card is a Magnolia Santa.  The Puppy is a Mary Engelbreit stamp by All Night Media.  The flowers are from the bridal dept at Michaels.

I'm entering this card in the Just Magnolia challenge (http://www.justmagnolia.blogspot.com/) the theme is the sketch.  Also, Charisma Cardz (http://www.charismacardz.blogspot.com/) Anything Christmas.  And, Pile it on, Flowers and Flouishes (http://www.pileitonchallenge.blogspot.com/).

Hope you had a great weekend.  Thanks for stopping by.  Until tomorrow........

See no Evil, Speak no Evil, Hear no Evil

Hello.  Hope your Saturday is going well.  We are leaving for the Hockey Game shortly.  Have been working most of the day on getting some things packaged up for door prizes at a group my sister belongs to.  Tomorrow I need to make some gift tags for our Chirstmas Party at Stamp Club for an exchange.

Today's post is a small gift bag made from a 12x12 sheet of cardstock.  It is the challenge for House Mouse this week.  I used a sheet of Graphic 45 paper.  The Merry Christmas circle words are by Endless Creations, and the To/From stamp is from Michaels dollar bin.  The gold pointsettia is a silk flower pulled apart from the dollar store.  I added a row of attached rhinestones at the bottom for added bling.  Gold ribbon for attached handles and used material with glitter to line the pouches of the bag.  I will be using this to tuck in a dinner gift certificate in one pouch and movie passes in the other for a wonderful young woman and her husband for Christmas. (That should leave all the wonderful young woman in my life wondering!)

Gotta run.  Have a great rest of the day.  As always, thanks for stopping by.  Until tomorrow............

Frosty

Hello, Happy day after Thanksgiving!  Are you enjoying that Turkey still?  Got up early this morning 5:00
and was out the door at 6:00 to go shopping.  The first place we went, we waited in line for 2 hours to
checkout!  No big ticket items or have-to-haves this year, but did get some bargains. I'm about 80% done
with shopping, and will pick up some gift cards and specialty items for the rest.  Heidi and I went to lunch and just enjoyed the day together.  But, not to say I'm not tired.  Was moving pretty slow by 5:00 pm!  Started to rain and hail and we finsihed up and came home.

Today's card is a delightful snowman, which is a clear stamp by Inkadinkado.  I love the swirls and I highlighted them with lots of glitter.  The snowman ribbon is from Michaels and was on sale cheap today!
Papers are various stack packs from my Stash.  Snowflakes are from a punch.

Hope your Friday was good.  Until tomorrow...........

BSS- Monday Challenge - Make a Double Pocket Card

Good Morning and welcome in for the Buffalo Stamps and Stuff Monday Challenge.  Today's challenge is to make a Double Pocket Card.  I thought this would be great for the holidays, because the first pocket could be used to hold a gift card.  There is a great tutorial at (www.splitcoaststampers.com/resources/tutorials/diagonal_double_pocket_card)
This card is made from one piece of 8 1/2 x 11 cardstock.  It has a couple of simple folds and one cut.  Then you just fold it together, glue a couple of places and decorate.  You can even change up the folds a bit and get a card that has a front panel and opens like a regular card to two pockets inside.

I have used a new Snowy Magnolia stamp.  The paper is by Basic Gray, Figgy Pudding collection.  The snowflakes are a die cut.  The sentiment on the tag is Inkadinkado.  The sentiment on the edge of the pocket is Northwoods.  The border punch is Martha. I ran the tag through a cuddle bug snowflake folder and added a length of net with glitter I purchased at JoAnn's on the tag.  I glittered the edge of the tag and added rhinestones to the snowflakes.  Hope you have time to make one of these cards, they are really nice and just a little different.  There is no limit as to what you could tuck in the pockets.  Have a great day.  Thanks for stopping by.  Until tomorrow.....................

Winter Wonderland

Hi, posting late today.  Went Christmas Shopping with my daughter.  We were shopping for clothes for my 11 year old Granddaughter, UGH!  Was so much more fun when she was little and would wear those beautiful dresses I used to buy with the Mary Janes and lace socks...........glad I had that time because now the clothes are expensive and made in Viet Nam!

Today's card is for the Penny Black challenge.  A link to their website is on the left.  The theme for this challenge is Winter Wonderland.  Card is made from paper from Basic Gray.  Stamped trees in background with white embossing powder on Navy paper.  Snowflake border punch around the card is Martha.  Hope you had a great Sunday.  Until tomorrow..............

Santa's Magnolia Kids

Hello.  This is my entry for the design team for Magnolia Down Under Challenge.  The theme this challenge was to make Something for Christmas, can be a card or anything else that you want to make.  I bought this ProvoCraft wood picture frame on clearance at Michaels.  It is 12x12.  I cut 4x4 pieces of different Christmas cardstock, then decorated each square with Magnolia stamps.  The center picture was reserved for Santa.  This will be a gift for him on Christmas Eve when he comes to visit.

Kellie is offereing an adorable Tilda stamp (she has little candy canes tucked in her pocket on her dress!) for the winner of this challenge. So come on, show us what you're doing with your Magnolia stamps and stamp something up for Christmas and enter it in the challenge.(http://www.kelliewinnell.com.au/magnolia

Drop over to the the challenge site to see what the other design team members came up with, there are some really cute cards and projects to inspire you. Then visit their blogs for details.

Thanks for stopping by today.  Until tomorrow..............

Santa Claus

Good Morning.  It's finally Friday!  The kids only have a half day of school today, so I have to get them on the bus and then go back in 3 hours and find something to do for the afternoon.  I told them we would do
something, maybe a movie or lunch or both.

Today's card is the most beautiful Santa by Flourishes.  I have had this stamp since Monday when it came in the mail, and hadn't had time to ink it up.  As soon as I did, I remembered how beautiful it was.  My only complaint is, it's a clear stamp and I have trouble inking them up.  I have tried every kind of  ink and I am never satisfied, so I wish it was rubber. I had so much fun making this card.  I have a lot of Santa stamps, but this is by far the most beautiful.  Very nostalgic, like when I was little.  He looks like he just came inside from the reindeer barn, through the cold and snow...............The papers I used  are all Basic Gray, Wassill, another favorite.  I forgot to take a picture of the inside sentiment.  The flowers are Prima, and the embroidery snowflake is by Edith (my sister).  They are so beautiful (thanks Edith).  I am going to be giving some in my December giveaway beginning on December 1st!

I'm entering this card in the Winter Wonderland challenge (http://www.christmasblogchallenge.blogspot.com/)  this week, which is St. Nick!  PERFECT.

Hope your Friday is wonderful.  Thanks for stopping by today.  Until tomorrow...........

A Boy and his Dog

Hello.  Hope your Thursday is going well.  Today's card is the other image that was offered for a donation for the Find a cure 4 Menengitis.  See my Tuesday post for information.  I love this little sailor and his dog.  It's a pretty simple card, I kept setting it aside and wanting to add more to it, but nothing seemed to work, so I finally just left it alone.  I stamped the stars and swirls with versamark watermark ink onto a piece of blue cardstock.  The image was printed on linen cardstock and mounted onto a piece of deckle edge tan paper.
Faux stitching added with blue gel pen.  Hope you're having a great day.  Thanks for stopping by.  Until tomorrow..............

In the Meadow

Hello. Happy Tuesday. Today's card is made from a digital image by Jim Harker. He and Mo of Mo's Digital Pencil Too have teamed up and come up with two images in memory of a little boy who died of meningitis recently. You can read all about it on Mo's blog at http://www.digitalpenciltoo.blogspot.com/. You donate about $ 6.85 USD to Meningitis Search 4 a Vaccine Campaign and get the two images. Our family knows first hand, having lost a little one many years ago to this illness, how cruel and swift this disease is. So go get your images and donate to a very good cause.

BSS-Monday Challenge-Alcohol Ink

Good Morning and happy Monday. It's time for the Buffalo Stamps and Stuff Monday Challenge. The challenge this week is to use Alcohol inks to create beautiful designs on glossy white cardstock. There is a great tutorial at ww.splitcoaststampers.com/resources/tutorials/alcohol_ink on creating this great look.
After I created a sheet with each of the colors I chose, I cut out the ornaments using a Sizzix die.
(you could use circles). I ran each ornament through a different embossing folder for texture. I stamped pine boughs at the top of the card. Then added glitter. I Put strings through the ornaments. I glued the blue ornament to the card, the green I popped up and the red I popped up a little higher to give them depth. The paper for the card is cut from S.E.I. Winter Song line. Hope you have time to try this technique, you can get some really gorgeous papers to work with. Have a great Monday. Until tomorrow.................

BSS MONDAY CHALLENGE - CUT IT UP

The Inside.
Good morning and welcome in for the Buffalo Stamps and Stuff Monday Challenge. The challenge today is to color up an image and then cut it into equal parts and mount it on your card. I used this beautiful winter scene from Rubber cottage, Medina, Ohio. I stamped on white cardstock, I embossed with clear embossing powder after inking with Versafine Onyx black ink. I colored the image completely. I then cut it into four equal parts, mounted each on black cardstock cut just a little larger. My card is a gatefold card. The four pieces were added to the berry paper after I distressed the edges, with pop dots to raise them up. Then I put adhesive on half of this piece and adhered it to the left half of the front of the card. The beautiful berry paper is from Graphics 45. The cardstock for the card is from DCWV. I added glitter to the snow. Two snowflakes popped up and a bunny were added. The inside is decorated with scraps of the berry paper punched with a Martha Stewart punch. Hope you have time to try cutting up your stamped image. If your image is short and wide, try cutting it in three. Thanks for stopping by today. Until tomorrow.........

Friendlier with Two

Hello. Hope your weekend is going well. Nice day here today, sun shining and no rain!

Today's card is my design team contribution to the Magnolia Down Under Challenge. The Challenge was a sketch by Shell Barnard. I bought the "kids" on bikes this past summer and never got to stamp them up yet. And when I went to make this tri-fold card I wanted to do some light colors after all those Halloween and fall cards I had been making. The cloud paper is also by Magnolia, and these papers are so nice, they have a lovely cottony feel to them. I colored and cut out Tilda and Edwin out for a ride on their bikes. Then I stamped the flower bush in the corner piece of white cardstock. I added the little birds. I then sponged ground and sky color in.

I popped Tilda up where I wanted her in the scene. The corner punch is Martha Stewart. The sentiment is My Sentiment Exactly.

The prize this week for the winner is a $ 10 gift voucher for Kellie's own Magnolia only, online store. There are links to the challenge site and Kellies store on the right, here on my blog.

Take a look at what my "mates" have come up with for this sketch, every card is so different and so beautiful, you'll be inspired! Then get to creating and enter your card on the challenge blog, you could win that shopping voucher.

Thanks for stopping by. Until later..........
