SHARP DRESSED MAN

Hope your having a great Thursday.  Today, I start my 7 day stint at dog and kitty sitting.  Only problem is, I have to go to their house several times a day to feed and spend time with them.  Their dog doesn't get along with other dogs (Keeley, the blog dog would faint anyway!) and our dog doesn't know about kitties.  Thankfully I only have to drive about two miles............And, they are always so excited to see Grandma!!

Today's card is for the challenge at Gingersnap Creations, GCSP08, Blue Moon Challenge.
The challenge is to use the monthly theme, A trip to the mall, and a recipe, three papers, three buttons, and three words.

I'm also entering this card in the challenge at Simon Says Stamp and Show The challenge this week is to use a word on your card.

Here's what I used on this card:

Papers - Base card, The Paper Studio, Simple Elegance, all others
Tim Holtz Paper stack
Stamp - B Line Designs
Words - Stickers mounted on cardboard circles.
Buttons from my stash, tied with baker's twine
Pin - Tim Holtz, Key, Making Memories

SUMMERTIME

Hello.  I can't believe that I haven't blogged since last Monday!!  I think this is the first time since I began blogging I have gone that long.  And I haven't even been in my stamp room for that long.
My granddaughter was excused from taking ALL her exams this year due to the fact that she maintained a 95 average in all subjects for all marking periods.  So proud of her, she adjusted to Middle School finally and is enjoying it, and looking forward to eighth grade.  My Grandson had only a half day on Thursday, so they both spent the afternoon here, And on Friday we took in a movie to celebrate Michael's great report card and the end of the school year!

I have also been preparing for a garage sale at our local stamp store.  I've been bagging and pricing stamps for the sale.  Also, so many books I have purchased over the years are going too.

Here is little Tilda cooling off by dipping her feet in the water.

Stamps - Tilda, Large shell,Stamp It; Sea Grass, Posh Impressions;
Faux stitches, Hot off the Press; snail, Magnolia;
Papers: Prima Jack and Jill 6x6 pad
Dots - Craftwork Cards Candi - Cotton Candy color
Pink Fish - Punch
Doily

Stardust Stickles

I'm entering this card in the following challenges:

HOUSE MOUSE AND FRIENDS MONDAY CHALLENGE #98

Hello, it's time for another House Mouse and Friends Monday Challenge, #98.  Our Theme this time, thanks for our talented teammate, Christine, is "Here comes Summer"

I chose this very cute mice eating watermelon stamp!  What is better on a hot summer day than a cold slice of ripe watermelon!

I colored with Copics, corners are from a punch by PaperShapers.  Added some Martha Stewart half round baubles to the corners.
Closeup of image.  I sponged the sky background.

Hope you get a chance to join us for our "Here comes Summer Challenge".
We are being sponsored by Di's Digi Downloads, and the prize is 3 Digis to the winner of our random drawing at the end of the challenge. Entries will be accepted through Sunday July 3rd.

We'd love to come see what you have created with a House Mouse, Gruffie bear, or Happy Hopper Bunny.  Take a looks at the design team samples at the House Mouse blog site for some inspiration, then get stamping!

Have a great Monday.  Thanks for stopping by.  Until later..............

BSS MONDAY IDEA - Gate Fold -Two-Way Opening

Hello, it's my Monday post for my local stamp store, Buffalo Stamps and Stuff.

Today's idea is a Gate Fold card with a two-way opening.  I made a regular gate fold card
81/2x 5 1/2, score at 21/8 on either end, crease and fold in to form base card.
Decorate the two front pieces with designer paper or card stock.  For this card, I used a
Martha Stewart punch to punch the edges of the gate folds. I colored my new little mouse stamp (Awww), the July stamp of the month from House Mouse called "Give Peas a Chance" with Copics and sponged the edges with green ink.  Mounted on green card stock.  I added adhesive to only the left half of the matted image and adhered it to the top portion of the card on only the left side

I stamped the sentiment, from a Stampendous baby set of small sayings, to the Spellbinder's Fancy Tags Two die.  Add adhesive to only the left half of the die and adhere it below the main image on the right side only.  Now, when you open the card, it opens two ways, from the top and the bottom because of the way you adhere the image and the die cut.

This is the card opened up.  The paper is from Cosmo Cricket and the sentiment is from Savvy Stamps.

Thanks for stopping by today.  Have a great Monday.  Until later............

Happy Father's Day.

I ran a piece of silver paper through a Cuttlebug Diamond Plate folder and added the word Dream!

Have a great Sunday.  Hug a Dad today.  Thanks for stopping by.  Until later.........

JUNE FUZZY WUZZY CHALLENGE MID MONTH REMINDER

It's finally Friday!

Today's card is to remind you that we are half-way through the monthly challenge at Fuzzy Wuzzy Challenges.  You still have plenty of time to make a card or project using an animal as the focal point of your item, along with following the monthly theme.  The June Theme is a recipe, three papers, two buttons, and you must use the color blue on your card.

This adorable image is a coloring page of a sweet Precious Moments little girl.  I have a feeling she is trying to find homes for her wagon load of puppies!!  I colored with Copic Markers and sponged the sky background.  Sentiment is from a clear stamp set from Cloud 9, all about dogs.  Hearts were punched with an elongated heart punch from Paper Shapers.  Added some Diamond Stickles.  Bakers twine across the top, and tied on buttons.

Close up of image.  I stippled the grass.

Hope you have a chance to join us at the Fuzzy Wuzzy Challenge.  You have until the 30th of June.  We'd love to come see what you come up with for this challenge.

BEE ON YOUR NOSE

Hi.  Ran some errands today and one of them was a stop at my local stamp store.
Got some new "stuff" to play with, excited to ink up some new stamps.
Today's card is for the challenge (#68) at Sassy Cheryl's.  This week, they want you to make a Tent Card.

I made mine with papers by K & Company.  The delicate vine border is a new purchase.  It's a die cut by Memory Box.  These dies cut so nice and this one is very thin in places.  I cut some of the pansies from scraps for the front of the card and made the inside with matching paper.  I colored this cute image with Copic Markers.  The sentiment is Stampendous.

Close up of the sweet image "Bee on your Nose"

Hope your Tuesday was great.  Thanks for stopping by.  Until later..............
