BSS MONDAY IDEA - Altered Front of Card

Welcome to the BUFFALO STAMPS AND STUFF Monday Idea.
Today's idea is to alter the front of the card by cutting part of it away.
I started with a 5x7 inch card and cut away three quarters of the front.
Then ran the portion of the front of the card that was left through a
Cuttlebug snowflake embossing folder.
I chalked some of the snowflakes with pink and blue and glitter parts of some of them.
The icicle border is Martha Stewart. I punched it out on light blue paper, then
inked with clear embossing ink and embossed with Stampendous Fran-tage embossing powder, Shabby Blue, and glued to the top of the front portion of the card. The snowgirl (Printworks JB4206)
was colored with Copics, after stamping with Versamark Onyx ink and embossing with clear embossing powder. I cut the image with a QuicKutz die, Nesting Doily Ovals (DC0254).
Note: I cut another of the ovals to glue to the back of the one with the snowgirl on it, so that when the card is opened, the inside looks nice too.
Punched a small snowflake die on a small square of paper then used it like a stencil to make the small snowflakes in back of the snowgirl. Added three dots with a marker in several places.
The heart, rose on her hat and her wings are popped up. Used Vintage Photo distress ink to ink around her wings.

This is the inside of the card. The paper is Bazzill Black Basics Patterned Paper 6x6 Mini Prints.
(Love this paper!!!!) The heart is a Classic Heart nesting set from Spellbinders. The Border snowflakes and the little snowflake are Martha Stewart punches.
The Sentiment is My Sentiments Exactly (M254) (I'm not sure this is still available)
Remember, the amount you cut from the front is up to you.
It's a fun way to decorate the inside of a card and let it show on the outside!!
Thanks for stopping by today.
Got some great new stamps from Sharon at the show on Saturday, can't wait to show them to you in the coming weeks.
Have a great Monday.

BSS MONDAY IDEA - CARD-ALOPE

Welcome to the Buffalo Stamps and Stuff Monday Idea.
Today's idea is a Card-alope, a card and envelope all in one.
The inside card is 41/8 by 5 1/2 inches
I traced an envelope that I took apart for this size card onto a 12x12 piece of paper.
Then cut it out . Using a ruler, score the rectangle in the middle. Fold and crease the flaps with a bone folder. Decorate your inside insert any way you want. Close the card and attach
a matching sticker or make some sort of closure tag and adhere.
Here is the card closed. The Tag was made from a Stamp by Morning Star, which I bought at the Garage Sale at BSS this year.

This is the card-alope opened. I used a stamp by Northwood Rubber Stamps (P8627)
After coloring with Copic Markers, I cut a frame out with a Spellbinders die,
Labels 11 using black card stock.

Used Art Institute glitter on the shoe laces, and Stickles Star Dust on the Stars.
Spiders are punches from Martha Stewart.
These are fun cards to make. Easy too.
Hope you have a chance to try a Card-alope

Thanks for stopping by today.  Hope your Monday is terrific. Until later............

BSS MONDAY IDEA - THREE LAYER CARD

Welcome to the Buffalo Stamps and Stuff Monday Idea.
Today's idea is a three layer card.
It's a simple technique. Cute three layers.
Example, 5x4, 41/4x3 1/2, and 3 3/4x3
But, these layers can be any size you want to fit the card you are making.
Using a large background stamp OR stamping a smaller stamp all over the layer, fill the
layers with your stamped image. If you want to color it in that's fine. If it is a solid stamp like I used, you can ink it with clear ink and emboss. Make mats for each layer and adhere to a card.
I popped up each layer with pop dots for added interest.
This is a close up of the embossing and layers.
Here is my finished card.
Stamps - Background stamp Penny Black Cling, Floral Thread (40-135)
Happy Hopper Bee, Stampabilities - HMLR 1044 (there are two bunnies on the
stamp, I fussy cut just one out for this card.
Paper - Black card stock, and yellow textured card stock
Colored with Copic Markers
Kaiser Pearls (HINT: I used white pearls and colored them
with a Copic Marker to match, prior to adhering them to my card
Embossing powder - Stampendous Fran-tage - Shabby White (with gold glitter) Love this stuff,
it's thick!
White glitter on the wings.
Butterflies Martha Stewart punch.

Thanks for stopping by, have a great Monday. Until later..............

Little Star

Hi friends.  Hope everyone is enjoying their Thursday, and finding some time to craft.

Today's card is for another challenge at Split Coast Stampers for the Dare to Get Dirty Challenges happening all this week.  You have to be a member of the Fan Club to participate.  And I can't tell you what challenge I am taking part in because you have to go to the site to see the challenges.

I used this adorable digi image by Priscillastyles.  I printed her out and immediately

and do the embossing immediately.

My card Recipe

Digi - Priscillastyles

Star paper is Reflections (Michael's)
Stars were die cut using a Sizzix die and glitter paper
Ran the colored image (Copics) through the
Swiss Dot embossing folder
Sentiment is a dollar stamp
Organza double bow.

Thanks for stopping by today.  Enjoy the rest of your day.  Until later..............
