MOUNTAIN SPLENDER

Hello friends, all of the weather forecasts for the East Coast are so scarey!  We are on the West end of the State of New York and they are warning of high winds and rains, which could cause flooding, early in the week due to Sandy.  Hoping everyone in those states most affected are as prepared as you can be and that by some miracle it is not as bad as the forecast says it will be.

My card tonight is for the challenge at Craft a Scene. This month, (and I am sqeeking in late in the month) the theme is Majestic Mountains.

All Stamps are Stampscapes

I love this beautiful Mountain with the wonderful falls.

All inks are Marvey Matchables.  I used the Colorbox sponge tool to apply ink. Touched up
the white areas and dotted highlites with a Shapie Poster  Paint White Water based Marker.
Used white glossy paper.  Leaf is a die from the Impression Obsession, small leaf die set.

This is my finished card. The original is actually darker tones, but
the light bouncing off the glossy paper it's hard to get a good camera shot.

Thanks for stopping by.  Hope your weekend was great.  Until later...

Totally stunning piece of artwork Sue, so atmospheric.

I have been carefully watching the weather path in your part of the world as my eldest daughter is in New York on the school trip. I pray that you will all be safe and it won't be as bad as they forecast.

Thanks so much for joining our Majestic Mountains theme at Craft a Scene challenge this month.

What a wonderfully lit card, and as others have said, so atmospheric. thank you for sharing it with us as Craft A Scene this month. I too have been watching the progress of that mega storm as our nephew went out to the area to marry his American fiancée earlier this year. As far as I can tell, they will be in the evacuated area, so we shall have to wait and see what happens. Good luck to you all over there. xx Maggie

Oh, Sue this is just lovely. I was thinking that with all that light coming from the center of the falls there might be a cave in there. Thanks for joining our Majestic Mountains challenge at Craft a Scene. NancyD
