FUN WITH PUNCHES

Hello friends.  Would you believe that we had snow last night?  Just enough to cover the ground AND our new car, but SNOW.  A week ago it was 82 degrees and we were opening the pond and raking the yard! Just Crazy.

An oval, three elongated hearts, and two star burst punched pieces.
Added the feather and punched circles for eyes.  Beak is made by folding a small
square to form a triangle and gluing just the bottom portion down.

I was fooling around with punches today and made these cute little Easter cards.  Not so sure about the lamb, but loving the bunny and the chick.  I have seen various forms of the bunny online, most recently at Dawn's Stamping Thoughts.  The chick and the lamb I just winged it.

Rounded the corners of a rectangular piece for the head.  Ears are two different sized ovals.
Circle punches for eyes, nose, mouth, and cheeks. Scalloped oval for the curly head.
Used distress ink around the edges of all these.

See Dawn's video for instructions using link about.

I have several little friends that I send cards to, and they are going to love these guys.
Thanks for stopping by today.  Hope you have a great Palm Sunday.  Until later........

BSS MONDAY IDEA - WHAT'S IN AN ENVELOPE

WELCOME TO THE BUFFALO STAMPS AND STUFF
MONDAY IDEA.
Both of today's cards are made from envelopes.
There is a great tutorial at
This first card is made from a white, 41/4 x 51/2 envelope.
Seal the envelope, cut 1 1/2 inches from one end. Run the
remaining piece of the envelope through an embossing folder (they use a
crimper in the tutorial), decorate as desired, made an insert just a little smaller
than the bottom of the card.

Here is a picture of the card and the insert.
The stamp used is Penny Black, Delicate Florals 40-103
Paper is Cosmo Cricket, Tea for Two (6X6 Stack)
Inside sentiment unknown
Border punch is EK Success
I made a second card, with a green 5x7 envelope.
Again, I ran the bottom portion of the envelope through a Sizzix embossing folder.
The Stamps are both from Northwoods. Papers are Doddlebug Designs 6x6 inch Stack,
Hello Spring. The adorable border is a die from Cheery Lyn Designs, Bunny and Chick (B171)
Colored with Copics. White Sparkle glitter on eggs in basket.

This picture shows the inside insert and cute poem stamp by Northwoods.
These are easy to make and you can't even tell they are made from a simple envelope.
Hope you have time to try one of these cards.

Have a great Monday.  Thanks so much for stopping by today.  Until later..............

IT'S SPRING

Well, it was HOT here today.  It hit 82 degrees today, a record for this date.  We did some yard work this morning and cleaned up all the leaves around and in the pond.  Fish are loving the warm weather, but they follow me around the edge of the pond because they want me to feed them, but water temp has to be 50 and it's not there yet, so have to wait.  A couple of more days of these temps and I can feed them.

Today's card is a beautiful daffodil stamp from Technique Tuesday.  I stamped with Versafine Onyx ink and embossed with clear embossing powder.  Colored with Copics.  Ribbon is from Pizzazz Aplenty.  The die cut is by Spellbinders.  The card stock for the base of the card is glitter yellow.
This stamp also comes with sentiments, inside sentiment is Enjoy The Day.

I hope you enjoyed your day today.  Thanks for stopping by today.  Until later............

HERE COMES THE BRIDE

Hello.  hope everyone is well today.  Yesterday, my daughter called at 7 am to say that our Granddaughter wasn't feeling well and could she drop her here for the day.  So at 8 am she took up residence on the couch with an upset stomach and just didn't feel well.  At 9:30 am the phone rang and it was the elementary school and our Grandson was in the nurses office with an upset stomach, so Rick went and picked him up.  So we spent the day trying to get them to at least eat some jello and to drink. She was still not feeling well when they left today.  I guess we will see what tomorrow brings.

Today's card is for the Challenge at Saturated Canary. They want you to use a doily on your card and one of their digis or a Simply Sassy Rubber Stamp.
