For Some-Bunny Special

Hi blogging friends. Was feeling a bit off today, so didn't get stamping until this evening. Feeling better now.
I made this card for my Granddaughter for Easter. I didn't bling it up because she isn't much for bling (glad I got to dress her when she was little).

This adorable Mama bunny and her baby were cut using my Cricut Machine.
Haven't had it turned on in forever, was fun and I played with some other stuff
I will show you after Easter.  Ran the bunnies through the Swiss dot embossing folder.
I backed them with light blue cardstock, but you can use any color and they look so pretty in pastels.

Here is the finished card.  Pretty simple.
The dies are all Spellbinder, the squares are Marvelous Squares Nestabilities.
The sentiment is stamped on the Resplendent Rectangles.
The sentiment old and the company is out of business now.
Cardstock base in Martha Stewart.
Blue organza ribbon
Cotton ball tails.

Thanks for stopping by today.  Have a nice tomorrow.  Until later.....

BSS MONDAY IDEA- Easter Card - inside and out

Welcome to the Buffalo Stamps and Stuff Monday Idea.
This week's idea is and Easter Card. I have glammed up the stamp I used and
have decorated the inside of the card also. Do you make the inside as
eye catching as the outside?

Cute Chocolate bunnies!

Easter Cupcake - Impression Obsession (D-2427)
I stamped the cupcake twice. Colored one with Copics, and fussy cut it out. Using a black marker, I ran it around all outside edges so they weren't white. Using a glue pen, sparkly white glitter was
added to the frosting sections of the stamp.
I colored and cut out the eggs on the second stamped one and adhered them over the ones on the cupcake. Using a small flower punch, I punched six pink flowers. Using a stylus and a sponge mat, I pressed in the center of each flower to curl the petals upward. A small white dot was punched for each center and the two sections for each flower were glued together, alternating the petals.
Small rhinestones were added where little circles were in the stamped image. Looks good enough to eat, right?

Here is the finished card. Papers are Graphic 45, Secret Garden 6x6 Pad (love this, all
pastel papers for Spring). Circles were cut from Spellbinder's Classic Circles nestabilities. The smaller circle was run through the Swiss dot embossing folder. Ribbon is American Craft.

Here is the inside of the card. The sentiment stamp is from a Penny Black set, Easter March (40-069)
The eggs were punched from a small egg punch I have had for years.
The chicks, and the chocolate bunnies are from the Cheery Lyn Designs die, Bunny and Chick (B171). I distressed them with Wild Honey distress ink.

Thanks for stopping by today. Have a great Monday.  Until later...............

ONE MORE SNOWMAN

Hello, blogging friends.  We are supposed to get some nasty rain and snow mix today with cold temps, which could cause a lot of problems, driving and with the power lines.  So far nothing, so maybe it will miss us.

I bought this fun snowman in January and never got him inked up and a card made with him, despite the fact that he has been sitting on my stamp table waiting.  Well, today is his day!

Remember my vow to make Christmas cards year round and enter Christmas challenges so I would not be rushing during the holidays......well, I fell off the wagon, but hey, I figure everyone I make during the year will be a bonus.....and I'm sticking with that!!!!

Oh so cute snowman with his little bird friend.
I so love Whipper Snapper Design stamps and my local stamp store
carries a large variety of them, but they are more expensive than
others.

Card Recipe

BSS MONDAY IDEA - Cut Away Sentiment Space

Welcome to the Buffalo Stamps and Stuff Monday Idea.
Today's idea is a Decorative Edge Cut Away Sentiment Space.
These "Chicks are racing toward Easter Fast!

OK, easy peasy and such a fun look.
Decide on the size of your card, mine is 6x5 inches.
I used a hot pink textured card stock for the base card.
Cut a piece of designer paper to fit the front of your card.
Decide what you will use on the front of your card and lay it out,
leaving space at the bottom for a sentiment .
Using a die or decorative edge scissors ( I have a drawer full I haven't used in
a long time and they came in handy for this card) mark the back of your
designer paper where you want to cut. Adhere the top piece of the designer paper
in place and decorate your card. Now, see how much space you need for the
sentiment you chose and cut the straight edge of the bottom piece of the
decorative paper and adhere it to the bottom edge of the card.
Now you have the space to add your sentiment.
I used a stamp from Northwoods Rubber Stamps N9010. The Chevron Paper is
Simple Stories, Snap Color Vibe 6x6 paper pad. The Rickrack punch is EK Success.
Kaiser pearls and a Happy Easter Stamp from Hero finishes it off.
This technique works well on the inside of a card too.
Small sentiments work best.
Hope you get a chance to try this little trick.

Thanks for stopping by today. Have a great Monday.  Until later........

FLOWER GIRL

Hello blogging friends.  We had snow flurries this morning.  Just a light dusting, but enough is enough!  Come on Spring..............

A couple of weeks ago, I was so very lucky to win THREE sets of Sparkle N Sprinkle Stamps from Donna Ellis, Creative Smiles, just for leaving a comment on a beautiful card she made (it is a snowman that I love) and telling her what my favorite colors are to use when making cards.  And in the process of her emailing me and telling me I had been randomly chosen, I also got a new blogging friend.  The stamp sets came lickity split in the mail, then life got in the way and I just now have had a chance to ink up some of the images and make a card from one of the sets.

The girl on the flower, the dragon fly and the sentiment are three of the
thirteen stamps in this set called Dani's Garden Swing (Set 393)

Card Recipe

Papers - Designer Paper, Heidi Grace, blue and white textured card stock
Pearls - Kaiser
Paper Doily
Ribbon, Michael's dollar bin

Colored with Copic Markers

Thanks again, Donna, love my new stamps! Check out Doona's blog, she has some
beautiful inspiration on her site.

BSS MONDAY IDEA - Tag Gift Card Holder

Welcome to the Buffalo Stamps and Stuff Monday Idea.
Today's idea is a Tag Gift Card Holder.
I started with a piece of pink textured card stock 4x63/4 inches.
I clipped the top corners like a tag. I scored at 4 inches from the bottom
and folded. I punched a hole in the center top of the tag.
I colored up the bunny in the egg, a stamp by Northwoods (M9005)
with copic Markers and matted it on a piece of green gingham paper.
I punched a small circle from white cardstock and punched a hole through the middle.
I glued it over the hole I had punched on the tag top.
The border above the bow is EK Success.
The bunny border across the bottom is Martha Stewart.
This is the inside. First cut a piece of the same paper you used for the tag
at 4 x 2 1/2 inches. Using a strong tape along the two sides and bottom of this piece,
adhere to the bottom of the tag to form a pocket to slip cash or a gift card into.
The border across the top of the pocket is Cheery Lyn Designs (B171) Bunny And Chick Border.
The circle sentiment stamp is Technique Tuesday - Easter Seal.
Put one end of the ribbon through the hole in the top of the tag from the front. Bring the other end around the card. Adhere your stamped design to the front and tie a bow.
This design would work for any occasion where you want to give a gift of cash or gift card.
The tag can be made any size too.
Hope you have a chance to try this little tag gift card holder.
Thanks for stopping by today. Have a great Monday.  Until later...........
