BSS MONDAY IDEA - Flowered Heart

Welcome to the Buffalo Stamps and Stuff  Monday Idea.

This weeks idea is a flowered heart.  I received a Hallmark birthday card with
a similar heart and birthday wishes sentiment on the front and just loved it, so I
thought I would try to make something like it.  Here is the results.

A close up of the flowered heart

My finished card.

Card Base is a 41/4 x 5 1/2 inch white card stock
Cuttlebug Chevron embossing folder mat is 3 3/4 x 5 inch
Border punch is EK Success
Spellbinders Fancy Tags Two (S5-030)
The flower punch is Martha Stewart, Hydrangea
and I punched it several times with two colors of
blueish purple.  I used a small dot punch to make the
centers.  I just glued the large and small flowers
randomly all over the heart, adding centers until the
heart was completely covered.  I used a Marvy heart punch
for the base.

Would be a fun card for Valentines Day too, and would be
pretty with different kinds of punched flowers.

Thanks for stopping by today.
Happy New Year

BSS MONDAY IDEA - A Birthday Card

Welcome to the Buffalo Stamps and Stuff Monday Idea.

Hope everyone is winding down on the shopping and wrapping and decorating, so you can finally relax and enjoy the holidays.  I'm baking and cooking this week, but otherwise done.

I have Christmas dies and stamps I did not use this year, so sad, but ran out of time.
But I thought for a change of pace, I would make a birthday card with a little stamp
set I picked up a few weeks ago and haven't had time to have a play with either.

Isn't she adorable!
Have to thank Debbie at the store for giving me hers that she had
set aside to buy because they were out of them, but have been reordered since .
Both the frame and this little Gorjuss girl and three tiny stamps were included in the set
and very reasonably priced too!

This is my finished card.

A peek at the inside

Stamp set - docrafts -Urban Stamps (Gor907-116)

House Mouse and Friends Monday Challenge #184 Ongoing thru Jan 3rd

Good Monday morning.  Can you believe that Christmas is only 10 days away?  Time passes so quickly when you have a lot to accomplish in a short time!
Just a quick reminder that the House Mouse and Friends Monday Challenge # 184, Christmas/New Year theme, or of course, Anything Goes for any of our Challenges too..

We are running this challenge through Jan 3 rd at Midnight to give our House Mouse Team a break for the holidays.

Hoping you can join the fun, create something, and post an entry.  FIVE prizes on offer this time and a design team call to boot!  See all the details on the House Mouse and Friends blog.

I altered this jar candle for the holidays with a cute House Mouse stamped image.

A closer look at the sweet bunnies.

The back of the jar.

I painted the entire jar with a dries clear glue
and sprinkled it with aqua glitter.
The beautiful snowflake border was cut twice,
it's a Cuttlebug, Anna Griffin die.
I stamped Versamark ink on the borders then
used WOW Vanilla embossing powder to cover the
snowflakes.  Glued the borders around the jar
with the same white glue (Aleenes)
Colored up the stamped image and cute it out.
Used some Green Frantage around the edges of
the cut out image. Then adhered it to the front of the
jar with pop dots, which I used hot melt glue on
so it would stick and stay on the jar.
Glued the die cut sentiment to the back.
Tied a ribbon aroiund the neck of the jar
and decorated the top of the jar with a die
cut poinsettia and snowflake.

Thanks for stopping by today.  Have a great day.  Until later.............

BSS MONDAY IDEA - An Aperture Card

Welcome to the Buffalo Stamps and Stuff Monday Idea.

This week's idea is an Aperture Card, that is  a card with an opening
on the front.

I die cut three circles on the front of my card.

And Stamped the images to the inside of the card.

What I used

Stamps - Penny Black - Let's Chill Cling set, including sentiments (40-353)
Snowflake dies - Cheery Lynn Designs, DL169 Snowflake 5 and Dl170 Snowflake 6
Snowflake Paper - Carta Bella-Countdown to Christmas
Circle Dies - Spellbinders S4-114 Standard Circles Large
Heart is a small punch

How I did it.

Started with a white card stock 5x7 card base
Cut a 5x7 piece of the designer paper and adhered it to the front of the card.
Marked where I wanted to die cut the circles and cut them.
I made the rings around the circles by using the die I cut the circles
in the card with and the die one size larger.  Place the smaller die inside
the larger die on your card stock and cut.  You will be left with just the ring.
I adhered the rings to the circles on the front.

I then stamped the little penguins inside the circles on the inside of the card.
with Versafine black onyx ink and embossed with clear embossing powder.
Since it is a solid stamp, Everything comes out black.  So, I stamped each
of them again on a piece of colored card stock and embossed with clear embossing powder.
I then cut out the scarves and hats and the earmuffs and glued them on over
the original stampings.  Added the snowflakes to the front and the sentiments.

This would be beautiful done with soft colors and snowflakes in the circles, which you
could die cut and adhere on the inside.  A lot of possibilities.

Thanks for stopping by today.  Hope you are almost prepared for the holidays.
Until later.
