open card and fold the front in (valley fold)
to create easel.

Line the inside with coordinating designer paper

BSS MONDAY IDEA - Sparkle Heart

Welcome to the Buffalo Stamps and Stuff Monday Idea.

This week's idea is to use a double sided Adhesive sheet to glitter the
background on an open heart die.

Click on the pictures to see an enlarged version to see detail.

Close up of glittered heart

White textured card stock base is 6 x 5 inches tent folded.

Die cut the heart in the center of a 6 x 41/4 inch piece of white card stock
(Spellbinders -Vines of passion die 9S2-4022)
Cut the border out at the bottom of this same piece.
(Spellbinder's - A2 Scalloped Borders 2 (S5-214)
On a separate piece of pink card stock, 6x1 1/4 inch die cut
the border again.  Adhere the pink border to the white heart piece,
so the borders match.
Adhere a piece of designer paper 6x1 1/2 inches to the bottom of the
card base.
Adhere a 3 1/2 x 6 inch piece from of adhesive sheet to the card base.
Be sure to burnish it with your bone folder so the top protective layer will
come off easily.
Remove the top protective layer and adhere the piece with heart and
borders, being sure to press down on the heart so it is stuck too.
Now sprinkle a generous amount of glitter and rub around with your
fingers before tapping the excess off.

Do You See What I See

Hello friends.  Another cold front is passing through, and I am nursing a slight sore throat and cough.

I decided as I was putting away my Christmas papers and stamps and dies, that I would not put away the ones I hadn't used yet.  The one I am showing you today, I bought last year and didn't even ink it up this year....until today!

A CAS card for me today.  Really unusual for me, but
wanted to try my hand at coloring with distress inks.

I stamped on water color paper, colored with distress inks
and a water pen.  Added the sentiment which is a
Memory Box die, and added the bow.
There are ten birds and animals in this little
scene.  Stickles on the star and snow on the ground.

Going to enter this card into the challenge at
ABC Christmas Challenge - Anything Goes with the option of Antlers

Thanks for stopping by today.  Have a great day.  Until later.....

BSS MONDAY IDEA - ACETATE PANEL CARD

Welcome back to the Buffalo Stamps and Stuff Monday Idea.

Each week we feature a card or project with instructions and what products were used.

This week, a card with  an acetate panel.

Close up of the sweet Penny Black kitty stamp used.

The finished card

The inside

What I used

Stamps - Penny Black -Daisy Love (40-065)
Sentiment  - PB-Special Wishes (30-229 Clear Stamp set
Paper - Yellow, white, green card stock, green gingham paper
Daisies are a small punch with dots from a
hand held punch in yellow
A piece of Acetate 51/2 inches by 6 inches tent folded
Word Die  is Spellbinders Fancy Tags Two (S5-030)
Corner die on front - Spellbinders Lace Doily Accents (S5-062)

How I did it

From the yellow card stock, I made a card base measuring 51/2 by 12 inches,
folded tent style to create a 51/2 by 6 inch card
Cut a piece of Acetate, or you can use any clear packaging material the same size as
the front of your card.

Decide the layout of your card .
I cut a piece out of the front of my card about 1 3/4 inches wide.
I then lined up the piece of acetate with the inside of the piece I left at the
top of the card and adhered it in place.

Then, I adhered the bottom piece that was left after I cut out the 1 3/4 inch piece
over the acetate.  I just used a clear tape runner, because I covered the inside
with the gingham paper.

Punched the daisies, glued the circles in the middle.  Across the top, I popped up
five daisies on the top flap that I left on the card.
On the inside, after adhering the gingham paper to all the inside, except the acetate
strip, I centered five more daisies across the gingham so they show through .

Popped up the image on the bottom of the front, added the corners, and adhered
the sentiment label to the inside.

Thanks for stopping by today for a peek.  Have a great  day.  Untill later.....

I LOVE ICE SKATES

Hi friends, hope you are keeping warm.  It is so cold here, we ran out for a while today, and the

wind on your face was terrible.  No school today either, didn't want little ones walking with such
cold temps.  Snow for tomorrow, winter has arrived!

I saw this die before Christmas, but didn't order it until just a week ago.  I AM IN LOVE!
I love anything to do with ice skates, and have a small die I just love, but when I saw this Sizzix big die, I knew I just had to have it.

What fun it was to put together, and I made a card out of mine by just folding the card stock and
laying the fold just on the inside of the left side of the die.

This is the card front

This is the card opened.

The die is Sizzix Ice Skate by Brenda Walton (658741)
I used
White glitter paper for the skate
Blue Swiss dot Bazzill card stock
Silver Glitter paper
The swirl die is included with the skate die
white eyelets
Red and White baker's twine
red pom poms
Inside die sentiment is also Sizzix, Alterations by Tim Holtz
Snowflakes are Penny Black
The inside paper is old and is text weight white with blue
running through it,

ok that's all for me, going to bed so we can get out and shovel tomorrow.
Glad we are retired and don't have to go anywhere in the am.

Thanks for stopping by today.
Have a great day.
Until later.........
