I LOVE ICE SKATES

Hi friends, hope you are keeping warm.  It is so cold here, we ran out for a while today, and the

wind on your face was terrible.  No school today either, didn't want little ones walking with such
cold temps.  Snow for tomorrow, winter has arrived!

I saw this die before Christmas, but didn't order it until just a week ago.  I AM IN LOVE!
I love anything to do with ice skates, and have a small die I just love, but when I saw this Sizzix big die, I knew I just had to have it.

What fun it was to put together, and I made a card out of mine by just folding the card stock and
laying the fold just on the inside of the left side of the die.

This is the card front

This is the card opened.

The die is Sizzix Ice Skate by Brenda Walton (658741)
I used
White glitter paper for the skate
Blue Swiss dot Bazzill card stock
Silver Glitter paper
The swirl die is included with the skate die
white eyelets
Red and White baker's twine
red pom poms
Inside die sentiment is also Sizzix, Alterations by Tim Holtz
Snowflakes are Penny Black
The inside paper is old and is text weight white with blue
running through it,

ok that's all for me, going to bed so we can get out and shovel tomorrow.
Glad we are retired and don't have to go anywhere in the am.

Thanks for stopping by today.
Have a great day.
Until later.........

What a great card! I love ice skates too and I've been soooo tempted to buy that die myself. Haven't weakened yet but it IS only a matter of time... particularly now I've seen how great it looks made into a card :oD

You did an outstanding job with this skate. It is beautiful. You can certainly use it this week. Our children had no school either yesterday but are going back today. We are getting just a dusting of snow this morning, but by Sunday the temps will drop dramatically again. Warm Winter Wishes my friend.

Funny how that anticipation and patience for a new toy just makes for such a great crafting experience...I still remember passing up a pair of real ice skates at an antique store $6. Dang it still haunts me! glad you got your new skates!!!
