SUGAR EGG

Hi friends.  Cold and an inch of snow.  What the heck!!  So tired of this weather.

I started this card a few days ago, and finally finished it.

Do you remember those delicate sugar eggs at Easter that had a plastic window
with an Easter scene inside?

This is an Inkadinkado stamp that is probably 20 years old.
It has been in the draw for probably 15 years.
A few days ago I took it out and sat it on my desk with the
intention to make a card.  So glad I did.  The index on the wood block
is very dark colors and quite unattractive, but it stamps beautifully
and I had such a good time coloring it, glittering it and making a card with it.

My finished card

I colored the egg with Copics.
I used a small paint brush to put white craft glue
on the parts that are sugar, then added a coat of glitter, I used
a white sparkly glitter so the color showed through.
I stamped the stamp again on white card stock and cut out the
part that is the scene and then used that as a pattern to cut a piece of acetate
to look like a window.
The die and flower is Spellbinders.  The greens die is  A Cut Above
Designer paper is a scrap from another Easter long ago.

I am entering this card into the following:

Thanks for stopping by today. Have a great day. Until later.............

Sue, Sorry I've been MIA, finally took a two week trip in our RV. This card is darling and, yes, I remember those sugar eggs (aging ourselves). You did a grand time with this old (but beautiful) stamp. Fabulous idea to use the acetate and wonderful job with the paint brush and the glitter. Hope this one is going to someone special because it is so special itself. You beat us, we only got 1/4 of an inch last night, but we came home to still find about a foot of snow in the front yard. I think it will be June before it all disappears. We were in Florida and it was too darn hot 94° and the same amount of humidity. Never happy.
