BSS MONDAY IDEA - PUMPKIN CARD

Welcome to the Buffalo Stamp and Stuff Monday Idea.

Today's idea is this sweet little pumpkin card for FALL/Halloween.

What I used

Stamp - Cling Pumpkin Mouse - House Mouse Designs-Stampendous
Paper- Orange, White, Brown, and Green card stock.
Two 3 3/4 Circle Die or punch
(I used Spellbinders (SCD-009) Celebrations Pierced Circles
but you can use any size depending on the size card you want to make.
One 3 3/4 Oval die or punch
(I used Spellbinders (SCD-007) Celebratins Pieced Ovals
One 2 3/4 inch Oval (Darice)
Leaf Die is Impression Obsession (DIE030-S)
Stem is hand drawn and cut.
Colored with Copics

The card will fit into a 5x7 inch envelope.
Be aware of how long  you make the stem, too long
and it won't fit the envelope.

How to put it together.

Cut two circles,  Sponge the edges of the circles with a slightly darker ink,
I used Rusty Nail distress ink.  Do the same to the larger Oval.
Overlap the circles and attach them
on the overlap so they resemble the shape of
a pumpkin.
Color an image on the small white oval and attach
to the larger oval. Attach the oval to the center of
the two circles. I popped the oval up with foam tape.
Make a simple stem from brown paper and adhere it
between the oval and the circles.  Cut a leaf out and
pop it up by the stem.
To make the curly pieces, cut thin strips of the brown
paper and spritz with water and wind around a pencil.
Hold for a minute.  Let them dry for a few minutes
before pulling them out a little to form the cork screw effect
and attach to the leaf and behind the stem.
You can attach it to a card, or if you want to make
a card out of it like I did, just trace the outline of the
pumpkin you just made onto the paper you used for
the pumpkin, and cut it out. With your paper cutter,
make a straight edge across the top, just taking
the roundness out.  Score a line 1/2 inch across the
top of this piece.  Crease the score line.  Adhere tape
in the 1/2" area of the scored part and adhere
to your card, making sure you line it up with the
front  of the card.

Super cute card.  Hope you get a chance to make one.

Thanks for stopping by today. Have a great day.  Until later.
