BSS MONDAY IDEA - Z FOLD CARD WITH A TWIST

Hello, stampers and crafters. Another Monday Idea for you for this third week in May.

Sure didn't feel like May this past weekend, did it?

I saw a card like this on Pinterest.  It is  easy to put together and I love cards

that have something "extra" to them.

It is  a regular Z Fold card with a little twist.

Stamp Set - My Favorite Things-You Are the Best (BB-29)

Paper - Bazzill Green, white and black Card stock.

Designer paper is Graphic 45 Enchanted Forest Collection, 

Sumptuous Floral #450 1339

Dies - Stitched Squares

Emobssing folder - Dotted Swiss panel on inside fold

Heart is a Punch

Inside Sentiment Inkadinkado

Colored with Copics.

To make the card base

I made a 51/2 x 4 1/4 inch card.

Score and Fold the front of  the card in half (at 2 1/8 inches)

from the right, back to the card fold

Decorate your card as desired, remembering that you will

be attaching the one inch strip along the bottom of

the card, about 1/4 inch from the bottom, so allow at least

1 1/2" at the bottom of your card.

Cut a strip of card 1"x 8 1/2 inches long

Cut another strip 3/4 inch by 81/2 inches long.

Adhere the strips together.

Score the strip at 2 1/8 inches and 4 1/4 inches on one end.

The first fold is a Valley fold the second fold is a Mountain fold

Adhere  the long unscored end of the strip to the card to the

folded over edge of the front of the card only.

Adhere the scored end of the strip to the card, only from the

end to the first score line (2 1/8 ( inches) on the strip.

I added just my sentiment to the strip, but, you can decorate

the strip to match your card. (see below)

You can make any size card.  You just need to make the strip the same

Lengh as the entire card.  The score lines will be 1/2 of the width of

your finished card divided by 2.  So for a 5x7 inch card the strip

needs to be 10 inches long, scored at 21/2 and 5 inches.

Here is a card I made a while back where I decorated

the strip. Finished card is 5x7 inches.
