BSS IDEA - SUMMERTIME and FRIENDS

Welcome to the Buffalo Stamps and Stuff Monday Idea.

Hot enough for you guys!!  WOW, a little less humidity would be nice.
My poor flowers start to wilt by 9 am.

Do you color up an image and then look for papers to use on
your card, or do you color your stamped image to go with
certain papers?  I have always, ever since I started stamping
colored the image up first without any thought to how I will
use it on a card.  Then I agonize over what papers to use.
Probably not the best method, but how I have always done
it.  It kinda makes you look at color schemes you most
likely would not have chosen first.

Here is my take on summer and friends for this week.

Orange a royal blue color combo.

Close up of sweet image.

Inside of the card.

Stamp - Penny Black Tandem (40-454)
The inside sentiment is included.
Die - Lil'Inker Designs -Dual Dotted Rectangles
Base card is 5x7 Royal Blue card stock.
Used an orange dotted and striped paper and bright orange card stock
for the panels and some of the bright orange and royal blue
for the added 1/4 inch strips.  Flowers are from my stash.
I added green and yellow Stickles to the image too.

I stamped the image on white card and colored it up
with Copics.  Using a paper cutter, I trimmed around the image
Leaving part of the mouses tail and part of the umbrella
outside the cut out area.

Thanks for stopping by today.  Hope you have a great day.  Until later.........

Hi Sue, I tend to do the image and then find a backing paper that goes.

Loving your card. The colour mix is fab.

Hope you have a good start to the week. Sue

A fabulous card Sue, such a fun image and lovely colours - I do the opposite to you, I choose my papers and then colour my image to match.
