out into the yard and starting the cleanup, uncovering the patio furniture,
and grilling some hot dogs!

On that same theme, this week's card features a butterfly and
some beautiful flowers, a sure sign of Spring!

BSS MONDAY IDEA - DIES AND STENCILS

Welcome to the Buffalo Stamps and Stuff Monday Idea.

Today's card is made using a Stencil and some dies.

Card base is 41/4 x 5 1/2 inches white card stock
Medium Green card stock insert is same measurement.
Stencil Used - Memory Box Texture Diamond (88522)
Dies - both Sizzix  Tim Holtz
Hearts - Scribbles & Splat (660222)
Mixed Media - (660220)
The Miixed Media die  uses the blank space the die, and not a die cut
Inside sentiment - Impression Obsession (E9889)

I used a finger sponge to sponge  Versamark onto the stencil
in the area of the card I wanted the design on.
I then sponged dye ink over the Versamark in a medium green
removed the stencil, covered with clear embossing powder and
heat embossed.
The panel of green behind the lower image was cut the same size as
the card and adhered to the inside of the front of the card.
a 1/4 inch piece of the green card stock was adhered to the right edge
of the front of the card.

Love the mixed media dies and can't wait to play some more with
them.

The Butterfly

Hi friends, nice warm weekend, so nice to see and feel the sun!

I made this card a few days ago and never got to post it. So here we go.

A pretty simple card.  The butterfly is a Spellbinder's Grand die.
The pink panel was cut with a Spellbinder's border die and I pierced
the edge.  I also pierced the card to show the flight of the butterfly.
The sentiment stamp was stamped and embossed with silver embossing powder.
The sentiment is by Just for fun.
Pink satin ribbon across the pink panel.

Thanks for taking a peek.  Have a great day.  Until later.....

BSS MONDAY IDEA - One Stamp Two Ways

Welcome to the Buffalo Stamps and Stuff Monday Idea.

This week I used this wonderful brush stroke flower stamp from Penny Black to
make two completely different looks.  One elegant, one vintage looking.
Despite the snow this weekend, I am so looking forward to Spring and flowers.

Supplies
Stamp - Penny Black-Passionate (40-453)

First Card (4 1/4x5 1/2 inches)
I added dye ink directly to the stamp with a finger
sponge applicator.  Used a light blue and green in for he leaves.
Stamped onto white card.  I added the darker blue details on the
flowers with a copic marker after I stamped it.  I then cut out
the oval, and sprayed it with a mixture of
Perfect pearls and water in a mini mixture.
I added it to a decorative oval of blue card stock.
The white panel corners were made with a Martha Stewart punch.

The second card 5 1/2 x 6 tent folded card

Stamp - Penny Black Passionate (40-453)
Paper - Tan card base, Kraft
Ink - Walnut, Distress Ink
I cut three panels from Kraft Paper.
Then, I stamped the stamp on each panel, centering it.
I then distressed all edges of each panel and
using the walnut ink pad, added ink to the distressed edges.
Adhere the largest panel to the card base centering it.
Pop up the next two panels, lining up the stamped images.
Add a bow to bottom stem on the card.

Thanks for stopping by today, have a great day.  Until later.....
