BSS MONDAY IDEA - FOREST FRIENDS

Welcome to the Buffalo Stamps and Stuff Monday Idea.

This week, I made a card with these adorable Woodland Animals..
Fun to color up, and BONUS, the set comes with matching dies!!

I made a twist and pop card.  Here is a link to a youtube video where
this gal explains in great detail how to make this card.  My suggestion
is to gather the three pieces of paper you will need to make the card.
Pause the video as you watch it and make a pattern with the three pieces
as the video goes on.  That way, you can have the pattern in front of you
when you go to make the card.  The card is pretty easy to put together
once you make your first one.  AND, it is so much fun!

(Sharon is currently doing a class on this style card.)

Stamp and Die Set - Cottage Cutz - Woodland Animals CCS-019
Sentiment Stamp - Inky Antics
Dies - Birch Tree Die - Taylored Expressions (TE178)

Bird Dies - Impression Obsession 154-A
Cardinals Die - Impression Obsession 333-H
Paper - 2 Shades of green and white cardstock
Designer Paper - DCWV-Magnolia Way Stack
Colored with Copics

This is a fun set of stamps and dies.  Great for guy and little boy cards,
which we know are the hardest to make, right?

Thanks for stopping by today.  Have a great day.  Until later.....

SUNFLOWER CUPCAKE

Hi blogging friends.  Well our two foot plus snow is gone.  With warm temps, the sun coming
out, and rain all night and all morning, it has just disappeared.  So ready for spring, even
though we have had a mild winter here.

On February 3rd, five girlfriends I went to school with met for lunch as we
do about every two months.  One of the girls is a lifelong friend, and we worked
side by side in her Accounting business for 30 years before retiring.  We finished
a lovely lunch and agreed we needed to get together again soon.

The next day, my best friends sister called me to tell me that while we
were enjoying a lovely lunch my friends house had a terrible fire and all
was lost.  She had worked for ten years to get the house just like she wanted it
and at lunch that day, she remarked that she was just going to enjoy her garden (big
vegetable garden), her bees (she keeps bees for honey) and her chickens and rabbits.

Of course we were all devastated for her.  It turns out that the battery in her
laptop computer had started the fire.

She celebrated a big birthday in January and had a big celebration.  For a gift,
I had made 50 cards for her.  She loved them and was so happy to get them.
Well, as I said, all was lost.  So I am making more cards for her as she sorts through
all the paper work and deals with the insurance companies involved in
settling with her so she can move on. She is a strong woman,
but this has really rocked her world. None of us can image losing everything
we ever had in a lifetime, just like that.

So,  I thought I would share some of them
with you as I go along.

I'm making cards that can be mailed for standard postage.  I found this
cupcake image on Pinterest.  The card is for her daughter for her birthday.
Her daughter is my Godchild, and she loves sunflowers.  Word stamps are
by Kitchen Sink Stamps.

If you made it this far, thanks for listening.....

LITTLE GIRLS

Hello friends.  Well we have dug ourselves out from the two day snow fall
 we got this past week.

We snuggled in for two days, then when it quit snowing we went out to clear it from our cars
and walkways.  While we were watching the snow accumulate, I stamped and colored cards
and caught up on some DT work and this card just for fun.

I moved my Penny Black Stamps to a different cabinet this week and
forgot what awesome stamps I had.  So I pulled a couple that I hadn't done up
in a long time and made this card.

I'm entering this card at

Penny Black and Friends Saturday Challenge - Bright and cheerful Colors

Stamp - Penny Black - The Three of Us 1978K (2000)
Dies Gina Marie, Scrapbook Outlet
Paper - DCWV Magnolia Way Stack (JoAnn's)

Pink wide Ribbon from my stash

Colored with Copics.

Love the old Penny Black Stamps that I collected so long ago,
especially the children.

Thanks for stopping by today. Have a great day.  Until later....

BSS IDEA - A Red Red Rose

Welcome to the Buffalo Stamps and Stuff Monday Idea.

Wow, how about the high winds this past week!  We were fortunate, lost
our cable TV  for two days due to downed trees and
wires on our street, but no loss of power.  Relatives in the Rochester
area still had no power as of Sunday.

Cottage Cutz has come out with these wonderful Stamp and Die sets
with a flower stamp and matching die for every month of the year.
I chose the Rose, month of June.

Here is the card I made this week.

There is only one thing I love more than a great snowman
