I have been drawing since a child and studied graphics at College many years ago, I now work as a Medical photographer part time but my love was always drawing. I started cardmaking about 4yrs ago when I bought my daughter a cardmaking kit which we did together, but I’m afraid I got the bug! My daughter preferred scrapbooking. I then started looking online at other blogs and this then became my passion and I loved sharing my cards with like minded people.
I love stamping and loved finding images, but sometimes I could not find what I wanted so I started to draw myself.

This then has become my second addiction and I have never looked back, I love thinking of new images, and its just fabulous to see others take them and make them into beautiful works of art. Long may it continue!

SUMMER IN THE CITY

Hi blogging friends.  Thought I would post this card before I'm
off to lunch with friends I have known since we all went to school together.
We try to get together once a month to catch up with each others lives
and just to keep in touch.

Today's card is a little scene I created.

Stamps - Sassy City- Clear Set-Stampendous (SSC1279)
Paper -white glossy card stock,  Black and light blue card stock
Inks - Distress Inks
Tombow Markers

I sponged the bottom path first, using a sheet of paper
to block off the rest of the card. Used gray and black ink

Then I sponged the green grass area  by using
a piece of paper towel which I ripped uneven
on the top edge, and covered the path with a piece of paper and
sponged downward along the torn edge, removed
the paper towel and sponged Bundled Sage in
the space between the masked off path and the
edge we just created.

Next, I placed the torn paper towel where I wanted
the water to end,  Using Salty Ocean distress ink
I sponged downward over the uneven edge of the paper towel,
removed it and sponged in the area between the grass and the
edge you just created, first with Salty Ocean and then using tumbled glass
darkened some areas with the sponge, leaving some areas lighter
to mimic the reflections of the clouds.

Above the water, I created a little bank of green grass
in the same way except you use a straight edge
at the top.

Next,, I stamped my images in place using black dye ink.
I used the Misti to place the stamps where I wanted them.

At the top I sponged some Salty Ocean ink randomly, leaving
lots of white for clouds,

I also sponged some of the gray and black inks very sparingly
under the city to blend it into the grass.

Dotted the trees with some pink tombow markers and
shaded the area under the trees with a brown tombow.

The sentiment comes with the stamp set.

Thanks for stopping by today. Have a good day.  Until later.....

FLUTTERBY BUTTERFLY

Hello blogging friends.  We have warmed up a bit and all the little critters and birds
are out and about more  now.  We had a BIG bunny sitting by our car in the
driveway when I went out yesterday, probably a Mama about to have babies.
Seems we have one every year in the Spring.  Drives the dog nuts!

Today's card also has a touch of Spring......

Stamps - Flowers-Laurel Burch-Stampendous (LBCRS05)
Imagine Butterflies - Laurel Burch-Stampendous (LBCRS08)
Sentiment - Brushed Wishes-Stampendous (SSC1272)
I stamped the butterflies and flowers twice.  Colored one of
each up, then cut out and colored the first layer of the butterflies wings
again and popped it up over the original to give it movement.
Did the same for the flower center.
Woodgrain designer paper from my stash
Black Stickles on the butterflies top layer.
Yellow stickles on the tiny butterflies top layer
Orange Stickles on the center of the flowers
White card base is 6x6 inches
Colored with Copic Markers

Second card
Different Butterflies same set of stamps.

Stamps - Imagine Butterflies -Laurel Burch-Stampendous (LBCRS08)
Sentiment included in the set.
Flower- Fresh Bloom, Stampendous-(Q130)
White Liquid Pearls on the flowers
Light blue dye ink
Finished card base is 51/2x51/2 inches square
Colored with Copic Markers
I used low tack tape to mark off the square on the front of
the card.  I then inked a portion of the square and stamped
the flowers.  Removed the tape, colored the flowers,
then added the finished butterflies to the card. Stamped
the sentiment to finish.

These butterflies are so very pretty, see myself using them on
cards often.

I'm going to play in the Butterfly Challenge just for fun.

Thanks for stopping by today.
Have a great day.
Until next time.

Wisteria in Bloom

Good morning blogging friends.  Our Granddaughter is having a big
birthday today.  She is turning 20 years old.  Could not
be more proud of this young woman for all she has
accomplished so far.  She is attending college and majoring
in Art with ambitions to become an Art teacher and/or Art Therapist.

I remember my 20th birthday like it was yesterday.
I rose early that morning, Did my hair, put on a pretty white
dress I had just gotten, and went to church.
You're probably wondering how I could remember all these
details so vividly, well it was my wedding day!
When I reminded our daughter that I was married on
my 20th birthday, she said "bite your tongue".

So some pretty flowers are in order today.

Stamp - Wisteria Circle-Stampendous (CRW202)
Papers - White card stock base 6x6 inches
Purple card stock mat is 5 3/4x53/4
Designer paper from my stash
Die - Little B Scallops
Circle with image die is Spellbinders circle nestabilities
Crystal Sparkly Embossing powder on image circle
Ribbon from my stash, one of those ribbons you never want
to cut into, HA!
Colored with Copics

Such a beautiful stamp!

Thanks for stopping by today.  Have a great day.  Until later......
