BOY AND RABBIT

Hello, have been busy last couple.  Today I took a ride to the craft store and picked up some new goodies.  I'm into the Martha Stewart punch around the page punch sets lately.  Got a new one today, so Will be trying that out the next couple of days.  Getting ready for the holiday and my Granddaughters 14th birthday.  Hard to believe she is going to be 14.  The years just slip by so quickly.  Seems like yesterday that Rick and I were standing in the nursery window at the hospital watching them weight and dress her right after her birth.  The nurse held her up and she was kicking and screaming and both Rick and I started to cry and the nurse said to her, there's your family, apparently you come from a long line of criers!!  Now she is tall, thin and even more beautiful and will go to the high school next year....ugh..........

Today's card is for Challenge #4 at Craft a Scene.  This month they want you to use a Silhouette cutout or image.  I have used a stamp from All Night Media.

My Card Recipe

Stamp - All Night Media
Papers - DCWV
Kaiser Pearls
Spellbinders Dies Large Scalloped Ovals
Corner Punch - Paper Shapers
Ribbon my stash
Image stamped on glossy white card stock, inks added with a sponge applicator and a stipple brush.
Inks used Ranger distress inks and Marvy Matchables.

I'm going to pop this into the following challenges:

Crafty Creations Challenges - # 164 Spring Greens, Anything Spring
My Mum's Craft Shop Challenge - #51 - Easter with an animal
The Sisterhood of Crafters - Celebrating Easter
Creative Card Crew- #7 - Spring

Thanks for stopping by today. Have a great Thursday.  Until later........

  6. Love the story about your grand-daugher's birth. Wow - that is one of those stories to be passed down for generations. I hope you scrapped that moment!!! This card with the silhouette is sooooooo sweet and so well done. I love the sky colors - really adds a serene feel to the image. Wonderful job - you have inspired me to try something new.

  8. Sue, What a pretty card and I love all those pearls. Wonderful sponging job. It is amazing how fast the time flies. My youngest grandson is going to be 18 this August, the oldest will be 23 in August. What a cute story about you and Rick and the nurse in the hospital. I laughed out loud here so early in the morning. Enjoy the day.

  9. BEAUTIFUL creation Sue ... love the coloring! I know what you mean about how the time is 'slipping away' so quickly ... my granddaugher just turned 20 and I too remember like it was yesterday when she was born and I commented on her 'big feet' LOL! Happy Easter to you & your family!
