The Old Pickup

Hi friends, had lunch with a friend today, but before we did that, we met at a new Hobby Lobby and had a little shopping spree.  What fun.  So got some new stamping things that I will be using soon.

Today's card is for a dear friend whom we met many, many years ago while we were stationed in
California when Rick was in the Army.  We have remained friends with him all these years and it is his birthday. Man, does time fly, it is so hard to believe that it was so many years ago.

Card Recipe

Stamp, I don't know, I bought it as a stamp show unmounted....
Yellow, mustard card stock
Embossing folder, Autumn Leaves, Darice
Burlap wired ribbon, Hobby Lobby
Felt Sunflower, Hobby Lobby
Vintage Photo Distress Ink
Colored with Copics

Thanks for stopping by today.  Have a great day.  Until later..........

  7. Your right Sue, a trip to a craft store with a friend is a perfect way to spend the day! I love your male card for your friend...the colouring on that image must have taken some time that is for sure!

  8. Sue, this is a fabulous, sentimental guy's card! My favorite part (aside from the wonderful coloring, shading and layering) is that awesome sunflower half showing from behind the truck panel. I would never have thought to do that, and it looks really spectacular! Thanks for always inspiring me, Sue. hugs, de

  10. We are supposed to get a new Hobby Hobby next year. The closest one to me is currently 1.5 hours away. We are all looking forward to it here. Love the burlap mat on the card. So very masculine.
