BSS MONDAY IDEA - BIG BUBBLE DIE AND SNOWFLAKES

WELCOME TO THE BUFFALO STAMPS AND STUFF MONDAY IDEA.

Today's idea uses a new die from Poppy St;amps.

click the picture to see it larger

The inside

What I used

Big Bubble Background Die, Poppy Stamps 1032
Silver Pom glitter paper
Blue card stock with snowflakes on it (sorry, it was a scrap, don't know whose
paper it is.
Snowflakes, Penny Black, Snowflake Trio (51-015)
Snowflake punch Martha Stewart, also inside snowflake border
Sizzix snowflakes (old)
Blue Rhinestones
Silver ribbon bow
Inside sentiment Winter's Butterfly (C-2604)

How I made it

Die cut the Big Bubble die on the designer paper of your choice.
Keep the circles
Cut a 41/4 x 5 1/2 piece of glitter paper
Adhere the cut out die to the glitter paper
Adhere some of the circles back
  into the die.
I put five edge pieces back in.  In the remaining circles pop up
die cut snowflakes of different sizes and designs.  On the edge
snowflakes I cut them to fit.
Adhere to an A2 white card base.
Add a rhinestone to the center of each snowflake.

What a fun die this one is.  I can see leaves for fall, flowers for spring and summer.
Will get a lot of use out of this one.

Welcome to the Buffalo Stamps and Stuff Monday Idea.

This week, I have revisited a technique I haven't used in many years.
Artist refer to it as Pointillism.  It's done using small dots to fill in the open areas on your stamped image.

Split Coast Stampers has a great picture and video tutorial on the technique (HERE).

HOUSE MOUSE AND FRIENDS MONDAY CHALLENGE 176 - DO NOT COLOR YOUR IMAGE

Time for a new challenge at House Mouse
                            and Friends Monday Challenge.

The theme has been chosen by our Talented Team Leader, America.  For Challenge 176, she has chosen.........."Do NOT COLOR YOUR IMAGE.  You can have as much color on your card as you want, but just not the image.

Remember, you can always have the choice of Anything Goes for any challenge.

I made a Grand Piano shaped card.  Added some music paper inside and a birthday sentiment.
Stamp is a Gruffie Cling stamp from Stampendous.  Spellbinder's oval die with tiny gold accents.
Continued the gold accents along the top of the keys of the piano.  Red dotted ribbon.  Vintage photo distress ink on the music edges.  Gold shiny paper.

BSS MONDAY IDEA - One for the Guys - Frame It

Welcome to the Buffalo Stamps and Stuff Monday Idea.

This week's idea is one for the guys, with a framing idea.

Are these little raccoons cute or what?

This week, I thought I would share this framing idea.

How I did it.

Base card is 5x7 inches.
Cut a piece of white card stock 31/2 x 6 inches
Cut a Brown piece if card stock 4 x7 inches
I used the Spellbinders long rectangles nestabilities to cut my frames.
Center the largest die on the brown card stock and cut and emboss.
Center the next size smaller die on the white card stock and cut and emboss.
Adhere the brown frame over the white frame by applying adhesive
near  the edge of the frame and centering it over the white frame.
Apply foam mounting tape to the outside edge of the combined frame.
Run your ribbon around the frame and tie in a small knot.
Center and adhere the frame to the card.
Center your image in the center of the opening of the frame.

What I used

Stamps - NorthWoods (O9527) and inside (B9525)
Inside sentiment - Repeat Impressions (4009G)
Paper - Black, White and Brown Card Stock
Spellbinder's Long Classic Rectangles Nestabilities (S4-142)
Sizzix Tim Holtz Alterations leaves die (659573) Spring Greenery
Clouds sponged with Spun Sugar distress ink, and light blue dye ink
Narrow black gingham ribbon
Colored with Copic Markers

Thanks for stopping by today.  Have a great day. Until later...........
