BSS MONDAY IDEA - Slim Line Cards for Valentines Day

Welcome to the Buffalo Stamps and Stuff Monday Idea.

Hello friends.  Well, Valentines Day will be here before we know it.
So, I made two slimline Valentines this week.

                Pink Card
Stamps -- Sentiment - Heffy Doodle (HFD 0229) More classic Sentiments
Dies - Kelly Alpha Uppercase Pink Fresh (PFSA1619)
Hearts - Penny Black - Your Love (51-591
Heart Paper from my stash from last year.
I used the edge of a square doily to frame the designer paper on the front
Card is 3 1/2x7 inches  I bought a ream of 81/2 by 14 inch card stock for a
project awhile back, and I thought how fun it would be to make a tent fold
slimeline card. I folded it in half the long way, and then cute the 3 1/2 inch width
for the card.

                Red Card

Stamps - Sentiment- Photo Play (5152147) You
When I cut the alpha letters for the first card, I placed them
evenly spaced on the gold mirror sheet, and cut them out.  This left
me with the negative of the letters.  All I had to do was cut out an even
rectangle, back it with red card stock, and I ran it through a Crafters Companion
Rainbow Hearts 3D embossing folder.
I needed to save the oval from the "o" and glue it in place.

Used a Gina Marie slimline stitched rectangle from striped card stock.
Inside, I stamped the sentiment in gold embossing powder and used
a strip of the Designer Paper on the edge.

Hope this put you in the mood to make some Valentines.

Thanks for stopping by today.
Have a good week. Stay Safe.

BSS MONDAY IDEA - Interlocking Gatefold Card

WELCOME TO THE BUFFALO STAMPS AND STUFF MONDAY IDEA

All the Christmas "stuff" is taken down and lugged to the
basement for another year.

This week, I made a card with no Stamping except for the inside sentiment.
A very unusual thing for me, but the papers are so pretty and a new
card design, so something a little different this week.

Images are papers from Graphic 45-Woodland Friends Collection
Other papers used, Aqua and white card stock.

The Interlocking Gatefold card instructions:

Cut an 81/2 by 11 inch piece of  card stock  in half
the long way at 4 1/4. (you get two card bases that
are 4/1/4 x 11 inches) You only need one for this card.

Score at 2 3/4" from each end.

Fold on the score lines and crease with a bone folder,
making sure that they meet in the center to create
your gatefold card.

Choose an image for the front.  Die cut it out with any shaped
die you want (circles, squares and ovals work well)

Using the same die you cut the image with and the next size up (or two
sizes up if you want a larger frame) die cut the smaller die inside
the larger die to create a frame.

On the front panels, cut out decorative paper panels and glue in
place.

Before gluing in place, center the frame with the cut out
image on the front of the card for placement.

You are going to glue 1/2 the frame on the left side panel
and 1/2 the die cut image on the right side panel so that
when you close the card the image slides into the frame.
I marked the center on each piece on the back so I
knew where to place the glue on each piece.

BSS- Monday IDEA

Welcome to the Buffalo Stamps and Stuff Monday Idea.

Happy New Year!!

Hope everyone enjoyed the holidays as
best you could under the circumstances.
Looking forward to 2021 as a new beginning
for all of us!

I received a new computer for Christmas.
The painstaking chore of bringing everything
over to the new computer seems to be
the least of it.  Every time I go into a
site, it does not recognize the new computer.
So, last week's card could not be added
to Buffalo Stamps and Stuff until I
coordinated with Sharon to recognize me
on the new computer.....technology is great
when it is working, right?

This is the card that I made for last week.

This beautiful stamp is by Woodware
The die is Gina Marie Designs

Forward to this week's card.

Stamps used- Penny Black,Sweet Sledder, Tannenbaum Trio, and the little deer is Frozen Vista
Slimline card

Chunky white embossing powder by Stampendous.

Thanks for stopping by today.
Have a great week.
