Happy New Year

Happy New Year's Eve! Please click on the first picture and read the sentiment. I love this stamp by Endless Creations. We should all take a moment to reflect on the past year and look forward to the New Year.
The front of the card sentiment is by Endless Creations. The inside is House Mouse Design
and the sentiment inside is All Night Media. I'm entering this card in the House Mouse Challenge, winter wishes.
Just staying in tonight. Rick worked late tonight again and he is so tired, so we are just camping out here with the tree lights on and the furnace running and eating and drinking some of our Christmas goodies.
I'd like to thank everyone who has made blogging this past year so much fun. To everyone who has visited, for everyone who has taken the time to leave a comment and for Kellie for asking me to be on the design team for Magnolia Down Under. All of this has been so rewarding and I have met so many people and communicated with so many. And, the best reward is, I always have a stash of ready made cards now!!! I hope everyone is with someone they love, doing something they enjoy and wish you a very Happy, healthy, safe New Year.
Tomorrow at noon, I will post the January 2010 Giveaway!
Happy New Year Everyone!! Until later................

Happy New Year

Easel Card - All White

The Inside

Hello. Hope everyone is keeping warm here. The temps have really dropped and what little snow we have is blowing around with some high winds.

Today's card is for the Digital Pencil Too Challenge. The challenge was to make a card using all white except the image. I have used an image that Mo released when she had 500 hits on PCP.
I colored the image with copics. The easel card was made with white textured cardstock, panels of embossed paper from a DCWV stack was used. Corners are punched from a punch by Paper Shapers from white cardstock that I ran through an embossing folder. Both sentiments used on the card are from All Night Media. A white ribbon and some rhinestones are the finishing touches.
You can see the design team cards at http://www.mosdigitalchallenge.blogspot.com/.

Hope you're having a great Tuesday. Until tomorrow..................

BSS-Monday Challenge-Make a Fan Fold Flower

Good Morning and happy Monday. Is everyone enjoying Christmas week and getting to see family and friends? Or maybe finally getting to sit down and rest a bit. Hope so.

Today's Buffalo Stamps and Stuff challenge is to make a Fan Fold Flower. A link to a tutorial for this flower is at www.splitcoaststampers/resources/tutorials/fanfoldflower/.

I made my flower out of vellum. A lighter weight paper is easy to flip over to make the flower.

All the stamps used on my card are from Our Craft Lounge. The papers are from a Colorbok

paper stack called Ornate.

The fan fold flower is a nice embellishment and can be made in any size. However wide your piece of paper is that you use, the flower will be twice as wide.

Hope you have time to try this in the near future. Thanks for stopping by today. Until later.....

Let us Thank Him for our Food, AMEN

Hello. Happy Sunday. Snow is coming down in big flakes as I write. It's so pretty when you are tucked inside with the Christmas tree lights on and a cuppa sitting next to you and you don't have to go out!!!

Today's card is for the Midnight Madness Sketch Challenge (MMSC33). You can see the sketch and examples by the talented design team at http://www.priscillastyles.blogspot.com/.

Recently they had a blog hop in which I participated and my name was drawn to win one of the design team members, Cabio's entry. I received a package in the mail yesterday and her card and pillow box and ornament that she made were tucked safely inside. I was so excited to receive them from Cabio and they are so much more beautiful in real life than they were in the pictures. Thanks so much Midnight Madness for all your hard work and especially Cabio for sending along her beautiful card and gifts.

The stamp I used on my card is from Stamp Camp, Dallas, Texas. The paper is from the DCWV Luxury Stack. Those wonderful flowers are from my friend Stephanie, aren't they beautiful on this card!!! Lace is from A.C. Moore, ribbon dept.

Hope you are enjoying a leisurely day or spending it with family and friends. Until tomorrow....

Celebrate

Hello. I'm finally back. Spent the morning cleaning the table in my craft room off and putting the Christmas papers and stamps away. Now that Christmas is over, I was kinda stumped as to what to tackle. I guess my not stamping for a few days has left me unmotivated! Trying to get back into the swing of things.

Today's card is a digital image by Mo Manning. I have had this image forever and just not used it yet. I made a birthday card from it for a friend. I colored the image with Copic Markers. The flowers are silk flowers taken apart and the roses in the center are from my friend Stephanie for a Christmas gift which arrived on Christmas Eve and was such fun to open. Thanks again Stephanie!! I distressed the kraft brown paper and inked the edges with distress ink. I put twine in the brown buttons and glued them to each corner.

I'm entering this card in the Charisma Cardz Challenge, whichis anything but Christmas!

Hope everyone is having some down time now that the holiday is over and able to visit friends and family.

Santa Kitty

Hello. Is everyone just trying to tie up loose ends and baking and cooking up a storm? What a frantic time of the year and then in one day it's over. I'm getting excited now. My kids were here today and they are beside themselves with excitement. Only two more days of school, then they are off until after the New Year.
Today's card is for the Penny Black Saturday Challenge. The challenge was to use a charm on your card. The papers are by Me and My Big Ideas. The sentiment is from Stamp Affair.
The red dots are from Fiskars.
Have a great Tuesday. I'm off to a Christmas Party for the gals in the office where I worked until last year, they were kind enough to call and invite me to lunch with them. Until later.........

BSS-Monday Challenge-Use a snowman stamp

Good Monday Morning. It's the day we have the Buffalo Stamps and Stuff Challenge. The challenge today is to make something with a snowman stamp. I made a card using a wonderful snowman angel by Whipper Snapper, so cute. The flowers are by Prima and the sentiment is a stamp by Cornish Heritage Farms. Papers on the card are Basic Gray, Eskimo Kisses.
I know everyone is busier than ever this close to the big day, so the good thing about a snowman is they can usually go right into January and February around here.
Thanks for stopping by and until later............

O Christmas Tree

Hello, happy Wednesday. Quick post, have to get cleaning and decorating. Today's card was made with no stamping except the sentiment inside! Yikes, I hardly ever do that! But, I have this cartridge for the Cricut called The Child's Year, and I love it. This is one of the cuts from the cartridge. Bringing in the tree! The paper used for the base card is K & Company. The border punch is Martha Stewart. The Spellbinders nestie is the curved rectangle. Snowflakes were also cut from the same cartridge by Cricut. Corner Flower arrangement are silk flower picks pulled apart. The inside sentiment reads "The best gifts of Christmas can't be found under the tree"
How very true. Thanks for topping by. Until tomorrow...................

BSS-Monday Challenge-Make a small gift

Good Monday Morning. Time for another Buffalo Stamps and Stuff Monday Challenge. Your challenge today is to make a small Christmas gift. Do you feel like just yesterday was Thanksgiving and tomorrow is Christmas. There is just not enough time in between these two holidays to do everything that you need to do. So, today, I thought I would show you five small gifts you can make before the day arrives. These are nice to have on hand. Great for neighbors or friends.
The first picture shows all five. In the second picture are the first two. #1 is a small wooden round box bought at the craft store. Covered with cardstock. The Magnolia image is colored with Copic Markers. Box is topped with a purchased bow. Inside? Packages of Swiss Miss hot chocolate, but you could fill with whatever you wanted.
#2 is a covered Hershey's Chocolate Bar. Measure the bar and cut a piece of cardstock to make a sleeve for the bar. I added this Tilda image, from Magnolia, and the snowflake. Kids love these and they are nice to have on hand if anyone stops by for a visit for the holidays. They look great in a glass bowl too!
#3 is a small organdy bag from the bridal dept at the craft store. I filled it with Starlite Mints.
The wreath is a cuddlebug die and matching embossing folder. I used glittered fun foam to cut the wreath then added red stickles for the berries. The fun foam is from the craft store and is self adhesive backed! And it is really sparkly.
#4- The small tent box from the Wilton cake decorating dept at the craft store was run through the new large holly die cut from Cuddlebug while it was flat. I then popped it open and ran a sponge with green ink lightly over the front only. I added the stripped paper with the edge cut with decorative scissors to the top and bottom. The images are both Magnolia, Holly Letter and Santa's helper. Colored with Copic markers. Filled with starlite mints or anything else you want to put into it.
#5 - I filled a clear treat bag, also purchased in the Wilton cake decorating dept at the craft store, with Butter cream wrapped mints (from JoAnn's). I cut a piece of cardstock 4 inches by the length of the folded over top edge of the bag and fold in half and stapled it to the clear bag.
I colored the Magnolia image of Snowy with Copics, embossed over the whole image with Sparkly embossing powder. I cut him out and mounted him to a panel that I ran through the cuddlebug embossing folder, snowflakes. I tore a small piece of white cardstock for across the bottom, also embossed with sparkly embossing powder to look like snow. I adhered the panel to the bag topper.
These were quick and easy projects with eye appeal. You can really dress them up with a minimum of time. Hope this helps with last minute "stuff" or stocking stuffers. Thanks for checking in and happy stamping.

Oh Deer

Hello. Cold here today. We have a couple of inches of snow on the ground today, but just south of us they were hit hard yesterday with blowing lake effect snow. Need to go out and run some errands today, not looking forward to it.

Today's card is for the Midnight Madness Sketch Challenge (MMSC31). And they have added a theme of Winter Wonderland.

The deer stamp is from Artful Stamper. The papers are Basic Gray. The swirls are a sizzix die cut. The snowflake border punch is Martha. I made an easel card and used a snowflake eyelet at the top.

I'm also entering this card in the Stampin for the Weekend challenge, which is Blue and Brown.

Hope you have a great Friday. Until tomorrow....................

Snowy with Star

Hello. What a day I had today with my computer. Last night, while visiting some blogs I frequent, my computer just went black. So I turned it off and when I turned it back on I had a message that something had affected the computers ability to restart itself and windows was going to "try" to repair it. Well, to make a long story short, it took awhile, but it finally rebooted.
I don't see that I lost anything thankfully, but today I spent cleaning up files and scanning, and defragging. What a scare!
Today's card is a Magnolia stamp called Snowy with Star. I have colored him using copics. Papers are Basic Gray, Eskimo Kisses. Flowers are silk, pulled apart. Hope you had a good day. Until tomorrow.................
