BSS MONDAY IDEA - CHRISTMAS ORNAMENT GIFT TAGS

WELCOME TO THE BUFFALO STAMPS AND STUFF MONDAY IDEA.

Today's idea is to make gift tags for Christmas packages that look like
a Christmas Ornament.

Here are  the three tags I made.

All three tags were made with a 3 3/4 and a 4 1/4 inch circle.
I used my Spellbinder's Grand and Classic circle dies, but you could
just as easily use a punch or trace circles and cut them out.  I also
cut a white circle for the back of each gift tag to finish if off and stamped it
with a To::/From stamp.

I just love this snow girl! Oh, I forgot, I love all snowpeople!!
The stamp is by Northwoods (889296)  I stamped her on white card stock
with Versafine ink and embossed with clear embossing powder.
Colored with Copics.
Snowflake and pine Branch punched from Glittered paper are Martha Stewart punches
Silver mirror paper cut at 11/4 by 1 3/4 inches and folded in half, then
rounded on the open ends makes the hanger.  Glue this to the very top
to the ornament after adhering the two circles together.
Finished off with blue rhinestones and Stardust Stickles
and pink cord.

Great guy tag.
Stamp - Pickup Truck (1114F8) Rubber Cottage
Fence die - Cheery Lyn Designs (B123)
Pine Branch die - Impression Obsession- DIE021-N
Darice Emobssing Folder - Snowflakes
Layered Poinsettia die - Spellbinder's (S5-005)
Crystal Stockles
Silver cord

Jingle Bell die is Sizzix Alterations Tim Holtz (658765)
cut from gold glittered paper.
Adhered black card stock behind the openings in the bell.
Sizzix Holly die (65703) Holly with berries #5
Cuttlebug Embossing Folder - Stripes
Sentiment -Hero Arts
Liquid Pearls- white opal
Green organza ribbon, Red Stickles
Background Paper is Basic Gray - Nordic
Snowflake punch - Martha Stewart (green textured card stock)
Deckled edged scissors.

To give the bell a beveled look, I used the hot glue gun to
glue in.  I bent the bell in a curved shape with my fingers, then
glued it on that way on each side, right where the upper slit begins.

These were fun to make and would make such a pretty presentation on a special gift.

Thanks for stopping by today. Have a great day.  Until later.........

The Old Pickup

Hi friends, had lunch with a friend today, but before we did that, we met at a new Hobby Lobby and had a little shopping spree.  What fun.  So got some new stamping things that I will be using soon.

Today's card is for a dear friend whom we met many, many years ago while we were stationed in
California when Rick was in the Army.  We have remained friends with him all these years and it is his birthday. Man, does time fly, it is so hard to believe that it was so many years ago.

Card Recipe

Stamp, I don't know, I bought it as a stamp show unmounted....
Yellow, mustard card stock
Embossing folder, Autumn Leaves, Darice
Burlap wired ribbon, Hobby Lobby
Felt Sunflower, Hobby Lobby
Vintage Photo Distress Ink
Colored with Copics

Thanks for stopping by today.  Have a great day.  Until later..........

HMFMC # 156 Anything Goes with Twine AND BLOG HOP

Time for a new challenge AND A BLOG HOP!

Yep, that's right, we are having a blog hop along with our Challenge!

The Theme for Challenge 156 is ANYTHING GOES-WITH TWINE
CHOSEN BY OUR SUPER TALENTED TEAMIE, LORRAINE.

I made tags for treat bags for my two Grandkids.  They are too old to go out
trick or treating, but miss getting the candy loot!

This one is for Michael.  I had this sentiment stamp, so I
thought I would use several of the Halloween characters from
House Mouse.  Lots of bright Halloween papers (DCWV)
and of course twine.  The web is from my friend Karen in
Canada, thanks Karen!  Stickles added for sparkle.

This tag is for Megan.  She recently built her own long board.  My Teamie
Sue K sent this stamp to me (isn't she a sweatheart) because I admired her
card when she used it, and she said she didn't think this one was available anymore, but
she had bought two....thanks so much Sue, Megan is going to love it.
Pumpkins are a punch from Martha Stewart.  Papers are DCWV. Sentiment stamp is Inkadinkado.
Stars and Stickles and Twine finish it out.

WELCOME TO THE BUFFALO STAMPS AND STUFF MONDAY IDEA.

Today we used a beautiful die to make a Christmas card.
There are so many dies and companies making them now, it is
overwhelming.  This very intricate die is made by Taylored Expressions,
and I am here to tell you this die cut like butter.  I was actually surprised at the
ease with which it cut out.

Taylored Expressions Nativity Border(TE115) die cut
from Gold Glittered paper

The white card stock base in 5.7 inches
The Navy blue card stock die cut is by Spellbinder's,
5x7 Elegant Labels 4 (S6-005)
I also cut the Elegant Labels 4 die with a tan textured card stock.
Cut the tan piece about 1 1/2 inches from the bottom.  Distressed
the edges with Vintage Photo Ranger distress ink, then glued it
over the Navy blue die.  Adhered the Nativity Scene die, across the bottom of the die cut only,  so
that the figures were against the sky.  Used tiny pop dots on the entire die, so the trees, figures and animals all stood out a bit.  I stamped O" Holy Night (don't know whose stamp this is, bought it unmounted, sorry, but you could use Peace or any number of sentiments) below the Nativity Scene with Versamark, then embossed with gold embossing powder.  Use a white gel pen to sprinkle some stars in the night sky

This makes a beautiful Christmas card.

Hello everyone, a super beautiful day today, sun shining, leaves falling and 72 degrees!
Won't be getting many more of these beauties, so enjoying them while they last!

A teaser, isn't this pup just so cute?

This is the darling stamp that was free with the magazine.

My finished card.

Stamp - Wild Rose Studio
Papers, White, and Red card stock, designer paper was also free with the magazine.
