Welcome to the Buffalo Stamps and Stuff Monday Idea.

Today's idea is the new Wool Felt and the Die-Namic dies used
to cut flowers out of the felt.

The Felt comes in lots of great colors, see post below, and
are 9x12 inch for 99 cents.

Here are a few ideas for making and using the flowers.
Click on any picture to enlarge for detail.

The Little Scroll and the flower shape on the buckle is Spellbinders Floral Doily Motifs (S5-041)
Pearl brads used on the buckle and as the center of the flower.

White felt was used with the Die-Namic Rolled Rose Die.
Green felt for the leaves die.

Branch with leaves.
The pearls and net are picks from the Bridal Dept. at the craft store.
You could easily make your own.
The picture frame was a dollar find at JoAnns

More Rolled Roses in Red.

I cut and rolled two roses. Then, I rolled some small thin strips to
look like rose buds and glued them in the felt leaves.

Fly Boy

Hi, hope your Thursday was a good one.  My brother-in-law went in to have a medical procedure
last Friday and during the procedure his lung collapsed.  We have been going back and forth to the hospital with my sister.  He is home as of Monday and recovering.  So I have been absent from here for a couple of days.  And, seems like when I do sit down to make something, it takes me forever to put it together lately........like a stamp I have says,  "sometimes it Art, Sometimes, it Aren't"

This is a new stamp for me, got it at my local stamp store. Isn't he sweet?

My card Recipe:

Stamp - Magnolia - Edwin with Airplane
Papers - DCWV
Spellbinders Lacey Oval
Sizzix - Star Die
Button - Making Memories
Sentiment Stamp - Stampology
Sheep Border - Debbie Mumm Paper Stack
Colored with Copic Markers

Thanks for stopping by.  Heading for the weekend!  Until later......

New Buds

Hello, hope you're Tuesday is going well so far.  We are cool today, but all the snow talk fizzled into nothing really, at least here.  In some areas they did get a considerable amount.  Even though we had the mildest winter I can ever remember, everyone is sooooo ready for Spring.

Today's card is for the challenge at Penny Black and Friends Saturday Challenge #198 - and the theme this week is NO PATTERNED PAPER!

A relatively simple card, although I have to tell you this tree image has been
set against many different backgrounds until I settled on this one!

The image is Penny Black, Fantasy (3880K)
Papers are textured green and yellow card stock.
The fancy label is Spellbinders
The sentiment is by A Muse Artstamps
I used water based Marvey Brush Markers right on the stamp
Ribbon is from my Stash

I just want to say thank you to the girls at the Penny Black challenge.  My entry won their random draw last week, and is featured at the top of this week's challenge post.  And I got to do some shopping with my online shopping gift at 1-2-3 Stitch.  Great site, and I can't wait to get my order, which included some new Penny Black stamps!!  Thanks so much ladies.

Have a great Tuesday.  Thanks so much for stopping by.  Until later.......

Welcome to the Buffalo Stamps and Stuff Monday Idea.

Today's idea is a Gift Box Pop-Up card that I saw on Pinterest, but just the card, no instructions.
So I played with the measurements and came up with the instructions for the card in two sizes,
5x7 and 41/4 by 51/2.

This card is 5x7

This is the card opened to reveal the Gift Box Pop-Out insert.
The 5x7 inch card allows for three gift boxes.

This card is 41/4 by 51/2.

This is the inside of the smaller card. It allows for two Gift Box
Pop-Outs.

This is what the insert looks like after you have marked all the measurements.
Next step is to score the outer dots down to the next cut line.

This is the back view after you have cut and scored.

This is the insert after it is cut and scored and ready to be decorated.

Here are the supplies I used to make the cards

Stamps - Happy Birthday - Endless Creations
Happy Mother's Day - Printworks (E2338)
Dies - Spellbinders Classic Hearts (S4-136)
Spellbinders Lacey Ovals(S4-314)
Papers - Miss Caroline (My Mind's Eye) 6x6 stack
and 12 by 12 sheets for card base.
Border punch large card - Martha Stewart
Border punch small card - EK Success

I suggest making the small one first so you see how it goes together.
Being careful to measure, mark and cut correctly is the magic.

Hope you have a go at this card, really is fun to make and decorate.
And, anyone would love to receive it. Would be great for a wedding card too.

GOOD START

It's finally Friday.........everyone looking forward to the weekend?  Sounds like we are going to get rain on Saturday and Sunday, but that's what they are saying today, could change tomorrow.

Today's card is for the challenge at Penny Black and Friends Saturday Challenge #197, Spots and Stripes.

Card Recipe

Stamp - Penny Black - A Toast to You
Sentiment - Stampabilities
Papers - Echo Park Dots and Stripes
Baker's Twine
Die Cut Doily-Cheery Lynn
Sparkly dot stickers - Michael's
Colored with Copics
Red textured card stock base

I'd also like to enter this card in the challenge at Tip Top Tuesday-#74 - Spotty and Dotty.
My tip is this:  I had a very hard time cutting the intricate die cut from Cheery Lynn that I used on this card.  I have several of these with either the middle portion intact but not cut all the way through, or it completely cut the center out.  I finally got them to cut, with the use of their metal plate, but had several on hand that weren't  perfect, so I used it on this card under the image so I didn't have to waste them.

And the challenge at Pile It On #16 - Pop It Up - I cut out the image and the sentiment and popped them up.

Have a great Friday.  Thanks so much for stopping by for a peek.  Until later............

RAIN

Happy Thursday!  Nice day today, a little cool, but the sun was out, so after lunch I went out and raked the side yard and pulled weeds.  Then I got the hose out and cleaned the entire side of the house.  It was so dirty from the winter, looked so nice when I finished.  Now I am hobbling around like the old woman I am, but glad to have gotten that done.  Rick washed the car, it too looks so nice all cleaned up!

Today's card is for the challenge at Saturated Canary # 15 and the theme is Rain.  I purhased this digi just for the challenge.  She was so fun to color.

My card Recipe

Digital Image - Saturated Canary Kistra Smith
Papers - Howdy Doody 6x6 Stack, My Mind's Eye
Border Punch - Martha Stewart
Rhinestone swirl - Reflections Michael's
Digi Circle - free Birdstamps
Flowers - Prima
Leaf Punches, McGill
Heart Punch - Sizzix

TAX DAY APRIL 17, 2012

Hello, friends.  Today is tax day here in the US!  This is the first year in over 30 years that I didn't return to the office for "tax season" .  I didn't miss it!  I made this card for the girls that work there to let them know that I am thinking of them and glad the rush is over for another year for them.

I left the card pretty simple, because the image and sentiment by Art Impressions (4160 Asleep on the Job Set) is so darn cute I wanted it to stand out on the card.  Used red and Pool Party paper by Stampin Up, Border punch is Martha Stewart.  Ribbon from Michaels.

Today is also my sister's birthday, and it's a big one, so Happy Birthday Edith!  Will show you the card I made for her tomorrow.

Have a great Tuesday.  Thanks for stopping by.  Until later..............

BSS MONDAY IDEA - SIZZIX NEW FLIP CARD DIE

Welcome to the Buffalo Stamps and Stuff Monday Idea
Hello, another Monday already! Today's idea is the new Sizzix Flip Card Die.
The die makes the Flip Card with just one trip through your die cutting machine!
The front of the card

The opened card with the circle flipped.
The die partially cuts the shape out and makes two score lines that fold to create the flip.
The paper is Basic Gray, The stamp on the front is Impression Obsession, Nature Nest (D8733)
Both border punches are Martha Stewart. Flower is Prima.
The inside sentiment is part of a stamp by Repeat Impressions. Colored with Copics.
This die has a label shape that flips.
The inside.
On this card, the paper is again Basic Gray. The bowl of strawberries stamp is
Lockhart Stamp Co. The sentiment is Hero Arts. The border punch is EK Success. Colored with Copics.
A couple more examples.

For this card, I cut it on the reverse of the same paper used in the second card, with the green on the outside. The image is a stamp by LaBlanche (love these stamps!) Tiny flowers and leaves are punches from Martha Stewart. The rick rack is a punch by EK Success. The sentiment is from
A Muse (8-8535C). Colored with Copics.
This final card is the same paper as card #1, reversed. The image is House Mouse Designs, as well as the sentiment. I used the Swiss Dot Cuttlebug folder. Candy dot trim and border punch and gingham paper. Colored with Prisma Color Pencils.
OK, there you have it. These large Sizzix dies that cut a whole flip card out are wonderful. Had fun using them.

Thanks for stopping by today.  Have a great Monday.  Until later.............

IRIS BLOOMS

Hi, can you believe it's Thursday already, where did the week go!  Tonight, we are meeting my best friend from my childhood, whom I also worked with for 30 years at a new German Restaurant for dinner.  The menu sounds delish and we are anxious to try it.

Today's card is for the challenge at Penny Black and Friends Saturday Challenge #196, and it's a
case it challenge.  I have used the colors in the example and flowers.

My Card Recipe

Stamp - Penny Black, Single Iris, stamped several times
I used Marvey brush markers to color right on the stamp
Card stock - Green is pearlized by ColorBox
Rhinestones - Kaiser
After I stamped the Iris flowers, I sponged on Versamark Watermark ink (clear)
right from the pad, then heat embossed with Powder Keg Sparkling Ice embossing powder
The bird is a new to me punch from Stampin Up
Gingham Bow from my Stash

Hope you are enjoying your Thursday.  Thanks for stopping by. Until later...........
