Winter Bird

Hi friends.  Thursday already, where does the time go.  I have been having

a play with the new Lavinia Fairie Stamps, oh what fun.  Hope to show you

some cards soon.

Today's card is made with a die from Reasonable Craft Dies (on Facebook)

Judy Bennett is the owner of the site.

This beautiful die was cute out in white card stock, then I masked off

the bird and used distress inks to do the pine and frame, then colored in

the bird.  As I colored the bird, I had another piece of card stock behind

it so that I could color in the parts where the die cuts out.  I then cut

that extra piece down and lined it up with the bird and attached to the back.

I love how this turned out, and the beautiful papers and sentiment are

from Kaiser Craft.

PRETTY BOW

Hello blogging friends.  HOT and Muggy Here in Western New York State!

So looking forward to cooler temperatures coming this Fall.

I made this card last week then didn't blog it.

The bow is a die from Spellbinders and I cute it

with gold mirror.  Designer Papers are old K & Company.

Sending this card to a dear friend.

Here is a picture of my hubs and our dog, Keeya chillin" on th patio

until they got too hot to sit outside! Of course she really minds the

heat with her permanent fur coat.

Remembering Debbie

On Sunday at the Stamp Show, Sharon gave me this sweet stamp in

memory of Debbie.  

Debbie was a mainstay at Buffalo Stamps and Stuff,  did many beautiful classes, and

was Sharon's devoted employee and friend.

Every time you walked in the door, no matter where she was in the store, she

either came up to greet you, or shouted a warm welcome from the back.

Always willing to share her talents and skills with anyone who had a

question.

Debbie was taken from those who loved her and her friends at

Buffalo Stamps and Stuff, one year ago,  way too soon.  She had classes to teach

stamps to stamp, and dies to use. 

.

We must always remember to tell those around us
how much we love them....
before they drift away and we have to tell them how
much we miss them.

Bio.

I have been drawing since a child and studied graphics at College many years ago, I now work as a Medical photographer part time but my love was always drawing. I started cardmaking about 4yrs ago when I bought my daughter a cardmaking kit which we did together, but I’m afraid I got the bug! My daughter preferred scrapbooking. I then started looking online at other blogs and this then became my passion and I loved sharing my cards with like-minded people.

I love stamping and loved finding images, but sometimes I could not find what I wanted so I started to draw myself.

This then has become my second addiction and I have never looked back, I love thinking of new images, and its just fabulous to see others take them and make them into beautiful works of art. Long may it continue!
