BSS IDEA - Peony Bouquet

Welcome to the Buffalo Stamps and Stuff Idea.

Whew, went and got flowers and planted up a storm this weekend.
Still have three flats of  flower for the pot on the patio to do.

Speaking of flowers, this weeks card was made from the Altenew
Peony Bouquet stamp set. Instead of using various shades of one
color to stamp the different layers of  the stamps, I stamped the flower
out using black ink and colored with Copics.

Stamps - Altenew Peony Bouquet
Paper - Kaiser Craft - P2307 Blush Sugar and Sage Collection
Die - Spellbinders Decorative Circles
Colored with Copics

Hope everyone is enjoying a long weekend.
Please remember those families who have
lost a service member, for those families
everyday is a day of remembrance.

Thanks for stopping by today.
Have a great day.
Until later.......

BUTTERFLY

Hello, raining again here, just we we need!  Got all my in ground flowers bought and planted
yesterday, thankfully.  Just need to make up the patio pots with impatients and I'm done.
Good thing too, because I am bushed!!!

I made a card today for the technique they showed on Split Coast Stampers.
It's called smack down.  You chose a stamp, then you stamp it down on a
piece of card stock until it is full.  Some great examples of cards folks
made too with this technique.  Here is mine:

Flower stamp - Stampendous Fresh Bloom (2007)
, Sentiment - Just for Fun
Butterfly - Memory Box

Off to the craft room for a play this afternoon since it's raining.

Thanks for stopping by today.  Have a great day.  Until later.........

BSS IDEA

Welcome to the Buffalo Stamps and Stuff Idea.

Hello friends.  If you have been to the store recently, you
cannot help but to have seen the brightly colored samples
from Stampendous, of the beautiful Laurel Burch stamps as you
entered the store. There have been a couple of releases of these
wonderful stamps since Stampendous started to produce them.

What fun they are to color up!  And, underneath the stamp
display are brightly colored papers to go with them.
I bought several, but could not wait to color up and make
a card with these two purchases.

A close up of the stamped image.

The Card

Stamps - LBCP002 - Stampendous - Rainbow Safari
LBCR505 - Stampendous - 8 piece flower stamp and stencil set
Inside sentiment - Paper Smooches - I Heart Art FBS137
Paper - Bright yellow, pink, green, blue
Gold glitter paper mat under image
Cuttlebug embossing folder
Enamel Dots - The Pink Fresh Studio (153 pieces)
White embossing powder
Versamark clear embossing ink
Colored with Copic Markers
Card is 5x7 inches

Instead of coloring up the flowers, I stamped them on Bright
card stock colors with Versamark clear ink, then embossed
with White embossing powder.  There is a die set to go with
the Flower Stamp set, but I fussy cut them out.
There are 8 designs in the set including the leaves.

That's all for me today.
Thanks for stopping by.
Have a great week.

BSS IDEA - Shadow Stamping with Words

Hope all the Moms enjoyed a wonderful Mother's Day.
We enjoyed a great dinner out with our
daughter, son-in-law and our Granddaughter and Grandson,
Doesn't get much better than that!

There are a lot of new stamp sets with a large word stamp and
a bunch of small words that you can use to go with it.

I saw this shadow stamping technique done on SCS in the tutorials.

Stamp set -Hero Arts- Love Stamp and Cut (DC175)
(This set comes with a die for the large love stamp)
Inks - Hero Arts - Emerald Green and Mint Julep.
Papers- Green dots Authentique, Imagine Three,  Core'dination
Coral small dots
twine sponged with distress Ripe Raspberry ink.
Sequins

I used the Misti.  I simply stamped the word Love and
the stitched heart and curly lines where I wanted them
on the card with the darker color ink.  I then moved
the stamps ever so slightly up and to the right and stamped
again with the lighter shade of ink to get the shadow
effect.  You can use a clear acrylic block with a clear stamp also.

Thanks for stopping by today.  Have a great day.  Until later.....

BSS IDEA - Precious Babies

Happy Monday.  Has everyone had enough RAIN?
Sure has been a wet Spring.  Lilacs and Bleeding Hearts are in full bloom
but haven't been able to be outside to enjoy them.

Today's card is one of the many new designs by Ellen Jareckie who is the artist
behind  House Mouse Designs.

How cute is this stamp?

Stamp - Crib Times-House Mouse Designs-Stampendous (HMCP78)
Paper - White and green card stock
Designer Paper -My Favorite Things- Hearts & Stripes 6x6 Paper Pack
Spellbinders Grand Scalloped Rectangles Die
Small gingham bow
Colored with Copics

Just the sweetest little image for a baby card.

Did you know you could make a card from any shape die cut?
Just cut two matching pieces from a die of your choice.
On the piece that will be used for the back of the card,
score a line across the top about 3/4 inch wide.
Fold on the score line then open it up again. Place adhesive
on the 3/4 inch portion.  Line up the other piece that
will be the front of the card and adhere it to the back
piece.

Thanks for stopping by today.
Have a great day.
Until later..........
