BSS IDEA - Blue Pickup Truck

Welcome to the Buffalo Stamps and Stuff Idea

WOW, amazing how quickly the week has passed considering that we are still mostly staying around the house.  Finally got out into the yard to do some weed pulling, since the temps dropped some for a couple of days and made it possible.  My garden is thriving in this heat, I have tomatoes like never before.  They will be good in soup and sauce when the cooler weather comes.

BSS IDEA - EAT DESSERT FIRST

WELCOME TO THE BUFFALO STAMPS AND STUFF DEA.

Even though we are staying home mostly, it seems like the days and weeks
are passing quickly. I am keeping busy in my craft room, making masks,
catching up on new hints on Ancestry with the many family trees I am researching, and
of course, cleaning cooking and the laundry.  I would like to be out in the yard
more, but it has just been too hot, and redheads with light skin don't do well
in the sun!

This weeks card

Stamp set-Stampendous Sweet Treats SSC1298 clear set.
This set includes 13 clear food stamps, and 4 sentiment

BSS IDEA - Stained Glass Sunflower

WELCOME TO THE BUFFALO STAMPS AND STUFF IDEA.

Hope everyone is finding a way to keep cool.  Just when we are restricting
going out, the weather turns into the hottest summer we have had in years.
Can't even enjoy being outside for very long in the yard...........ugh.

Hope you are all keeping well and using your spare time for creating.

This weeks card.

Stamp - Stained Glass Sunflower-Whimsy Stamps (SGD102)
I stamped the image with clear embossing ink on Vellum .
I sprinkled silver embossing powder of the ink and heat set it.
I then colored the image on the BACK side of the vellum using
Alcohol ink markers. coloring the background light blue and leaving
some white spots for clouds.
I cut out the image and framed it in black and mounted it onto a
white 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 inch white card.

I love how it turned out.  In person, the silver looks just like
the lead of a real stained glass window.

That's it for me this week.  Was in the store on Saturday and I have lots
of new stuff I bought to show you in the weeks ahead.

Stay safe.

Thanks for stopping by today
Have a great week.

Hope everyone found something to enjoy over the 4th of July
weekend.  More neighborhood fireworks than ever before.
Some very loud and quite like the ones we used to drive to see.
Only problem is ur sweet dog is scared to death of them.
We have some meds to give her, but she got so worked up
they didn't kick in.  Feel so sorry for her, but there is absolutely
nothing we can do to console her.

I popped up the fins and mouth.
Then popped up the baby shark onto the card.

BEACH BABES

Welcome to the Buffalo Stamps and Stuff Idea.

Hope everyone is well, and that you are taking this
heat okay.  Too warm for me and my long haired
pup, not to mention the fire crackers going off
all weekend late into the night.  Had to give her
calming meds which don't do much, but at
least they help a little.

This weeks's card is all about a day at the beach
for these darling little beach beauties.

BSS iDEA -

Welcome to the Buffalo Stamps and Stuff Idea.

First, congratulations to Sharon and Mark for making
it to the front page of the Sunday Morning Buffalo News.
Sharon did an interview and pictures were taken on
the effect of the shutdown of  "non-essential" businesses
on small business owners.

EXPECT a new way of doing business when stores reopen after pandemic
NEWS BUSINESS REPORTER
Paper arts stores like Buffalo Stamps & Stuff are an endangered species in the digital age. Owner Sharon Klima has kept the Amherst store viable for 30 years by offering personal classes and creating a touch-and-feel haven for crafters and artists.
“I pride myself on everything being hands on. We have a huge inventory to see and touch. There are tons of samples everywhere,” she said. “When people come in for the first time, they’re overwhelmed because there’s eye candy everywhere.”
Now, that will all have to change as Klima and retailers across New York prepare to reopen under a lengthy list of new state rules governing cleaning, protective equipment, screening and physical distancing to fight coronavirus.
Buffalo Stamps & Stuff owner Sharon Klima, with her husband, Mark, is preparing to make changes to allow her to reopen. John Hickey/Buffalo News

I have a cute card for you today.

This was fun to put together.
Finished card is 4 1/4x51/2 inches

BSS IDEA- WHO LET THE DOGS OUT!

WELCOME TO THE BUFFALO STAMPS AND STUFF IDEA.

Hope everyone is doing well and keeping busy and safe.

I'm still making face masks for friends and family, and
of course stamping and making cards.

We ordered a new car in February, then the virus hit
and delivery was delayed until last week.  Plus, the
car was built in Canada, so this also delayed delivery.
But it's in the driveway now and yesterday we took a
ride to Henrietta to deliver masks to a niece.  A quick
trip, but so good to get out of the house and enjoy our
new car and a nice day.  Funny how the little things we
take for granted normally are so special now.

Today's card is an absolutely delightful stamp set
from Stampendous.  If you are a dog lover, you will
love this clear set with five dogs and several sentiments.
Available on the store's online store.

my stamp room (thankfully) I have dusted off the old sewing machine and

BSS IDEA - GIRL SNEAKERS

Welcome to the Buffalo Stamps and Stuff Idea.

Happy Belated Easter.  Hope everyone found a way
to celebrate the holiday under very stressful situations.
Unlike years past, we spent the day in our own home (again)
It was our Granddaughters birthday, we drove Easter and
Birthday presents over to their house, put them on the porch
and wished her a happy birthday through the glass picture
window.  Later in the day we were able to skype them
and talk to them.

The card this week is a very simple card, but
the pink sneakers tell their own story.

Stamp - Pink Fresh Stamps - Walk, Crawl or Run (BB-133)
The stamp set comes with 7 sentiments which are very small
print.  The one I chose for the inside of the card says:

Shoes and Rainbows have a lot in common
but most importantly
They come in all colors.
Woodgrain paper background
Colored with Copics

I think the next time I make a card with this image
I will stamp the sentiment, then enlarge it on my
printer.

Thanks for stopping by today.
Have a good week.
Until later....

BSS IDEA - Easter Bunnies

Welcome to the Buffalo Stamps and Stuff Idea.

The sad day has come, the store is closed until further
notice.  Sharon is posting everyday on Facebook and
showing new "stuff" that is coming in.  Also planning
a new online store which should be up and running soon.

I stopped in on Saturday, to pick up some supplies so
I can continue to show you some new stuff that was in the store.
It is such a shame, because the store is jam packed with
all the new stuff that Sharon ordered at the show, but
she is taking orders and shipping to folks as needed.

Easter is just around the corner.  Here are some sweet
bunnies to brighten up your day.

Wasn't it nice to see the sun yesterday?  Even though it was cold outside
the sunshine always makes things  better.
