House Mouse Trick or Treat

Hello. Of course, todays adorable characters are House Mouse Designs. They are all separate stamps. All dressed up for Trick and Treating. Card Stock is from the Glitter Fall Stack from JoAnne"s. Still under the weather today, so will make this short. Until later.......

Had an off day today, was a little under the weather, a stomach thing. Came on me yesterday while at my daughters for dinner (nice guest) left and came home. Was up and down all day today. Hope tomorrow is better. Guess it is going around, and I had my granddaughter home from school a week ago for two days. This is a cute boys card. Stamp was purchased in Ohio and was unmounted so I don't know the company. I had such a good response to my Pumpkin card on splitcoast, I can't beleive it. Really wonderous that others are looking at my cards and liking them!!! Until later.............

Deer One

Well, this stamp and paper finally got to me. I was trying to hold off until at least November before posting a Christmas card, but was wanting to put this together and here it is. The card stock is from Die Cuts with a View (DCWV) Christmas paper pack. The stamp is from Inkadinkado. Love the Black, White and Pink together! Will get back to something more timely now.

Going to have to net my pond tomorrow. Leaves from a maple tree in the next yard are starting to fall into the pond now. Have three very small fish, born kind of late in the season, hope they survive the winter. Until later..............

The Perfect Pumpkin

Remember how finding the perfect pumpkin was your only priority when the family went to get a pumpkin for Halloween carving? It had to be big. It had to have a great stem. It had to sit evenly on the ground. Sometimes we looked at every pumpkin twice before finally making up our mind.

This card was inspired by all those searches as a child, and as a parent to find the perfect pumpkin.

I'm in a halloween blitz. Had bought some new Halloween stamps, so they were calling my name! I cleaned the stamp room today and finally got to a point where I could run the vacuum cleaner and dust. I haven't seen this much of the table in months. I still have a pile of stamps on the table that are new, and I never put stamps away until I use them at least once! Got this stamp at Buffalo Stamps and Stuff on Saturday. It's so funny. We mix equal amounts of candy corn and salted cocktail nuts together in a candy dish........delish. Even people who don't like candy corn like it this way, it's the sweet and salty thing. Try it! Have been doing this every Halloween season since a visit years ago from my friend Clara from Texas in the fall.

Tomorrow, Megan and Mike are sleeping over and Megan is going to make cards in the stamp room with me. Hope your Friday is great.

Horsing Around

Hello. I'm going to try to get some fall cleaning (yuck) done over the next couple of days and decorate my house with all the beautiful fall stuff I have in the basement. Windows need to be washed and rugs cleaned. And, my stamping room is a disaster. I received a new shipment of Thomas Kinkade stamps today....just beautiful. The card above is another stamp that I purchased at the stamp show in Buffalo in August. Unfortunately, I purchased it unmounted and I don't remember the name of the company. My granddaughter, Megan went to horse riding camp this past summer and I bought a couple of horse stamps. So this is a tribute to her horse, Carson! I used the cuddlebug embossing forlder (woodgrain) to make the background to look like the barn. I think I will stop at the farmers market after I get the kids on the bus in the morning, fresh fruits and veggies sound good.

Hey! My godfather called tonight and he is going to come down from Toronto to visit us next weekend. I am so excited that he's going to visit. Can't wait.

Hope my friend Cathy is getting her stamp room repaired after a water leak so she can get back to doing what she loves. Thinking of you.

Today's card is from B-line Stamps and I got it at the garage sale at my local stamp store last weekend. It looked like it had never been used. I thought it was kind of funny that the guy is just sitting there and the women are doing the rowing! Let's hope it's not his elderly Aunt and his Mother! Maybe he isn't feeling well! Maybe I'm reading too much into the scene!

Until next time.............

MAY THE FOREST BE WITH YOU

Afternoon. What a lazy day. I carried the vacuum cleaner upstairs to run it in the stamp room, and something caught my eye and I sat down to stamp. In my defense, I did do laundry in between!

This is a stampscape scene. I glued the leaves to the card on an angle, then cut the top of the card away. Beautiful autumn woodland scene with a pristine lake...........what could be more peaceful? Enjoy the view.

Saturday, September 20, 2008

What a beautiful Saturday today. Just a great fall day. Was warm, but you can tell the seasons are changing. I had a chance to go to my local stamp store for their "garage sale". I, of course, bought a few stamps ( I should have been taking some to sell!) I also had a coupon for 25% off one item and treated myself to the mega oval scallop punch. Love it!

Tonight was Michael's family birthday celebration. His kid's party was earlier today at the local roller rink. Happy Birthday Mikey! (Nana loves you)

This card is a Magnolia rubber stamp from Sweden. Very fallish. It's a fall plaid gate fold card with falling leaves decorative paper. I made the pompom from something called ribbon yarn that I found at JoAnn's.

It's late (or is it early!) I got the witches legs stamp at Michaels (Stampendous) and had to make a card right away. Now I have Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas stamps strewn all over my stamping table. What a fun card to do, all the bright colors.

Hope to get my fall decorations up this weekend. Going to get downright cold here tonight, frost warning in some areas.

Guess I better get to bed.

Boys will be boys

Hi. This is a shaker card made from a Rocker Stamp from Art Gone Wild! Another stamp show purchase. I already had some of these Rocker Stamps, but i just love this one because it has so many elements you can cut out and use, and as we all know, boys and men's cards are the most difficult to come up with good ideas.

My grandson Michael is celebrating his 8th birthday on Saturday and I made this card for him.

I had to go get Megan (my granddaughter ) from school this morning because she wasn't feeling well. Something with the stomach that is being passed around the elementary school the nurse tells us.

Have a great day.

Cupcake

Hello. First, I just want to say hi to my stamping friend in Arizona, Cathy, and by now hope that she is getting some relief for the water leak in her stamping room! I'm thinking of you girlfriend!

I made this cute little card, all from cardstock I put through the cuddlebug folders and my bigkick! The bottom is the wood grain, just folded in half, and the layers are swiss dots in two colors, with a 3 inch scallop punched out and cut in half, and the top is the swirls, also punched out with the 3 inch scallop punch, and cut in half and shaped. The cherry is an old PSX stamp! What a cute little card to brighten someones birthday!

I'm working on a shaker card for boys, so cute, will post tomorrow night. Bye

Tilda

Hello. Thought I would blog twice today,as I lost a couple of days because of the computer being down.

This little girl in the cherry dress is Tilda, from Magnolia Stamps. They are made in Sweden. They are just now being sold online by Roses on Paper in the US. I think they are very expensive, 11.99 each for unmounted! I ordered four stamps, but probably won't order any more unless the price comes down. She is cute though.

My friend Carol is feeling much better today, hope she continues to improve and finds out what caused her illness in the first place soon.

Have a great Monday.

Mushroom Library

Quick post today, as my Verizon service keeps coming and going again. This is the Mushroom buildings I was talking about a few days ago from Cornish Heritage Farms. (www.cornishheritagefarms.com) Just fun little houses and other buildings, all from Mushrooms. I don't even like mushrooms, but was attracted to these from samples on their website!

Thursday, September 11, 2008

Hello. Did some running around today. Michael's 8th birthday is the 16th, so went shopping for that. He is really into Star Wars, so that was pretty simple.

This card was made with a stamp from B-Line. It's another beautiful stamp. The little bird is from Inkadinkado.

I ordered some stamps online that are little mushroom houses and buildings, each being made out of muchrooms. They are from Cornish Heritage Farms and I loved the samples their designers were putting on the gallery over there. I received them today, so hopefully in the next few days I'll get one done and get it on here.

Have a great Thursday.

While talking with my friend Terry last night, she mentioned that it was hard to leave a comment. Well, I think I fixed that, so give it a try and we'll find out!
This card is a stamp from Rubber Cottage. I have had it awhile, but had not stamped it for some time. Stamped on glossy paper with dye ink and colored with Tombow markers.

Tomorrow and Friday I go to Heidi's to get the kids on the bus. Haven't seen them since the weekend, so looking forward to seeing them in the morning.

Tuesday, September 9, 2008

Cooler today, and supposed to dip into the high 40's overnight, ah yes, my kind of weather.

Today's card is a stamp by Rubber Cottage. Embossed paper was put through a cuddlebug folder, love those folders! I like the combo of red, white and black, and don't those apples look delish. Maybe I need to visit the local market this Thursday!

It's Fall Ya'll

Have you noticed how it's getting darker earlier? And even though it has been warm, there is a definite change. My plants look like crap. Pond plants are growing like weeds though. Soon we will have to cover with net to keep all the leaves from blowing in. Fish are thriving, had one new baby this year!

The Candle stamp is by Stamp La Jolla from the stamp show recently. Colored with Tombow markers. Chalked the background lightly. Don't you just love the ribbon. From Michaels, in the dollar bin recently. I am a ribbon-a-holic, can't pass it by.The fall stamp in the green scallop is from A.C.Moore, one of the dollar stamps.

Have a great Tuesday.

Sunday, September 7, 2008

Had a great time yesterday at a family gathering. Good to see everyone, babies all growing like weeds, older kids growing up fast, and we adults are getting older by the minute!!!!!!

Another Thomas Kinkade. This one is titled "The Good Life". I don't even like to fish, but it is such a beautiful place, I think I would try it. You can almost hear the quiet in the scene. Fish are Fred Mullet stamps. Word stamp is by Repeat Impressions.

A note to my dear friend Carol, hope your feeling better soon. Thinking of you and keeping you in our prayers for a speedy recovery.

Saturday, September 6, 2008

Good After-morning! Kind of gloomy outside today. Invited to an outdoor party today, hope the rain holds out. Kids got their first three days of school in this week, so hopefully they will settle into a routine now. Hard to go back when it is so hot outside, still seems like summer.

This card is another Thomas Kinkade (www.cornishheritagefarms.com). It's called The Open Gate. First time I saw it, it reminded me of what Heaven must be like. I stamped it on glossy card stock with dye ink, colored with Tombow markers.

Have a great Saturday!

Thursday, September 4, 2008

Man, it was hot today. Doesn't it seem like just when the kids go back to school, there is a heat wave for a couple of days?

Todays card is for the birds! The large bird is a sizzix die. The little birdcage is Impression Obsession. The music sheet background is from Cornish Heritage Farms.

Have a great Friday.

This is an ode to the dog days of summer. The stamp image is by 100 Proof Press. Words by Hero Arts. I brayered Herb Garden big and juicy on white glossy card stock. Used black dye ink to stamp image. Dog is by The Creative mode. Stamped and cut out.

Hope everyone had a nice holiday weekend. Our nephew, who is a master diver was on a dive on Saturday and when he surfaced, he became ill. Apparently he had the bends. Was flown to the closest hospital with a hyperbaric chamber. Is still in the hospital, and we are all thinking of him and hoping he can come home soon. Can't dive again for awhile, that will be the hard part.

Back to work tomorrow after 11 days off. Got alot of stamping time in and enjoyed seeing people we hadn't seen for awhile, a couple of movies and got some things done around the house.
