BSS MONDAY IDEA - Winter Window Stamp

Welcome to the Buffalo Stamps and Stuff Monday Idea.
Today's idea was suggested by Sharon.
I took the Winter Window Scene Stamp from Northwoods Rubber Stamps (P8324)
and created a simple card.
Colored with Copic Markers
Small strip of glossy white card stock run through a Snowflake Embossing folder, torn on one edge, inked with Stormy Sky distress ink.
Snowflakes, Martha Stewart punch, with small Crystals in the center.
White glitter on snow.
Then, I stamped the same stamp again on brown card stock this time, cut out the windows to remove the winter scene and stamped the Fall Garden scene by Northwoods Rubber Stamps (P7588) on white card stock and colored with copics, trimmed to fit the window and popped up the small pumpkins onto the window sill to cover the pine cones.
Brown, Green, orange and yellow card stock used
Ran through various Embossing folders.
Yellow card stock edges inked with Wild Honey distress ink.
Leaf at the top is a Cuttlebug die and folder. Cut on yellow card stock then used
distress inks to give fall color to the leaf. Sprayed with gold perfect pearls and water from a mini mister.
This is a very versatile stamp and next week I'm going to show you a Spring and Summer
Window.

Thanks for stopping by.  Have a great Monday.  Until later..............

Going to lunch with a bunch of gals from my neighborhood.  One of the gals that lost her husband is moving to Long Island to be closer to her only son and we are taking her to lunch.  She and her husband built their home and moved in when they married, she was 17.  She has lived there all her life, and soon will  celebrate her 76th birthday.  I'm so proud of the way she has handled cleaning out the house and giving away and getting rid of her "things", then selling her home, and now the big move soon.  I will miss her as a neighbor and friend, but I am so happy for her that she will be with her son and his family in a loving home.  They are all looking forward to this move and I wish them much happiness in the days ahead.  They have added a Mom's apartment to their home, so she will have her own space.

Have a fabulous Friday.  Thanks for stopping by for a peek. Until later............

House Mouse and Friends Monday Challenge # 102

Time for a new challenge at House Mouse and Friends Monday Challenge.

We would like to thank everyone who entered a card in our last challenge, the ATC challenge.  Seems it made a lot of us think outside of the box, but everyone seemed to enjoy it once they got into it!

For our theme this time, chosen by our talented teammate Lorraine, she wants us to get Fruity.
So anything that involves the mice, gruffies or Happy Hoppers and something fruity is what we are looking for.

Check out the DT samples for inspiration, there are some beautiful cards.
We have two guest design team members for the month of August, Rosey and Gemma.

We are sponsored by K & K Designs and the prize is 3 stamp sets.

Also, we welcome back Pizzazz Aplenty, which is offering a $ 10 gift package of
wonderful embellishments.

So ink up those stamps and join us for our Lets Get Fruity Challenge.  We can't wait to see what you come up with.

Thanks for stopping by today.  Have a great Monday.  Until later................

BSS MONDAY IDEA - MAKE A TUNNEL CARD

Welcome to the Buffalo Stamps and Stuff Monday Idea

Papers - Umbrellas - Jillibean, gingham from my stash, lime green textured card stock
Stamps - Art Impressions - Girlfriends stamp, sentiment, Whipper Snapper
Flower is by Prima
Scalloped edge on inside was done with a punch from EK Success
Used Marvy punches to make the scalloped circle cutouts on the inside

Really easy to put together, and you know how people love to get a card that
moves!

Summer Vacation

Hello.  Extremely busy week last week, so I was so not in my craft room doing my thing.
Today, I just "needed" to color something, but found out that being away from it for six days made my mojo go for a walk.  I played with this card all day and set it aside and pulled it back out............oh my!

I made this card for the challenge at Just Magnolia Week 119, and the theme is Summer Holiday Fun.
Well, whats better than a vacation at the beach.  I love this new little Tilda snorkeling, but have you seen the price of these now!  They are making them too expensive for me!  They are $15.99 for these little people and they aren't even on wood! OK that's my rant for the day!

Card Recipe:

Papers - sand and water are from Summer Stack and glitter paper is also from A DCWV Stack.
Little seashells are stickers by K & Co.
Crab and Turtle are dollar stamps from Michael, as well as the sentiment.
The sun and the plant are old stamps from companies no longer in business.
Sand border is by EK Success
Colored with Copics

Hope your enjoying your Saturday.  Thanks for stopping by today, will be back tomorrow, and Monday is House Mouse Monday and also my post for my local stamp store.  Until later.......

BSS MONDAY IDEA - RIBBON TRIM

WELCOME TO THE BUFFALO STAMPS AND STUFF MONDAY IDEA

Now, for this weeks idea, Ribbon Trim.

This fun technique is also easy. To make the ribbon trim, cut a length of ribbon
a couple of inches longer than the area you want the ribbon to run across.
Cut a straight slit on either end a little wider than the ribbon you're using with a
craft knife. Tie a knot in the center of each piece of ribbon and put the ends through the slit. Tape the ends down on the back side (trim them if they are too long)

You can also make a rectangle or square ribbon trim around an image.

There is a picture tutorial on how to achieve this at

Today's card recipe

Papers -purple, pink and white card stock
Stamps - Medallion, Hero Arts - Inside sentiment, My Sentiments Exactly
Medallion stamped in light orchid, then used a water based marker to
highlight with darker purple before stamping.
Center of medallion is a large round brad that I covered with purple Glitter
White satin ribbon
Pink card stock is embossed with a Cuddlebug folder
White pearls by Kaiser
Fancy square die is Nellie Snellen
Medallion edges decorated with Star Dust Stickles

Thanks for stopping by today.  Have a great Monday.  Until laer...............
