HAPPY HALLOWEEN everyone! My grandkids had their halloween party at school today, so when I went this morning to get them off, we took some pics of them in their costumes. She is of course, a witch, and he is a clone trooper, from Star Wars. Michael is a Star Wars expert and this is his dream costume. Megan wanted to be a cute witch, not a scary one. I love the close up of him! Please notice that Megan just got braces and she got the purple ones to match her costume! The card for today,(my last Halloween card for a while, Yeah!) is an old PSX stamp. I love the saying! Hope everyone enjoys passing goodies out to the little and not so little ones tonight. Like the card says, Happy Halloween, whatever you are!!!!! Until later...............

Closed for the Season

What a beautiful fall day here in New York. The sun is out and the temps are in the high 50's. Did some running around this morning and now hope to get some stamping in this afternoon. Today's card is a stamp from Impression Obessession. It is kind of sad to see the fruit and vegetable stands in our area boarding up for the winter. It is such a short growing season here to enjoy your favorites, fresh from the garden. And, we also know that the snow will come shortly. But, I do like the changes of season. Until later...........

Yummy Chocolate

Greetings. I covered big Hershey's Candy Bars with cardstock and decorated them with stamps, punches, and sizzix die cuts. Took them to work today for the gals in the office. Everyone liked them alot (who doesn't like chocolate!!) Gotta run, until later.....
Boy, was it cold today, and windy, but no snow. I can wait. The card today, did bring out the holiday spirit though. Love this stamp with the little girl walking her dog, with gift in hand, probably on her way to her Nana's house! My new friend, Queen Bee, aka Anissa, sent me a link to her blog, saying she is passing an award for Kreative Blog on to me, how nice! In return, I have to tell you a few things that make me happy. Well, my husband and friend of all these years, a good, hot cup of coffee in the morning, a down comforter in winter, being able to stamp all day (that never happens, but would make me happy!), going over to get my grandkids on the bus two days a week and taking something special for breakfast, my daughter still asking for my opinion, a new baby in the family, getting together with old friends, my sisters and their families, Christmas morning, my brothers-in-law and their families, a day off, payday. I guess that's enough. And not necessarily in that order! Until later...........

OH BABY

Hi. A new girl in our office, became a first time grandma to a beautiful baby girl last week. We got her a little gift, so I made this card to go with. It is of course a House Mouse Design. The inside says "Grandchildren make becoming a grandparent grand indeed". Well, I didn't see any snow today, infact, no rain really. But they insist we are going to get it. It is cold though. Heat is running now, and they say the heating bills could be 40% more this year! Yikes. My stamping friend in Arizona, Cathy, told me last week in an email that they are still wearing summer clothes and temps are still high. Until later......

What's Cookin'

Hello. Almost missed posting today. Really pooped out today, after three days of preparing for our family get together on Saturday night. Everything turned out great and the expecting parents were so excited about the coming baby and the beautiful gifts they received. Was interesting having the men at a "baby shower". But was nice to see everyone for an evening of visiting and catching up. Thanks to the folks who drove a couple of hours to get here.
Today's card is a jump start for Thanksgiving. Great little stamp. We are expecting wet snow tomorrow through Wednesday, with no real accumulation, but low temps. Keep warm everyone. Until later............

Bear Hug

Good morning. Hope you are having a good Friday. Today's card is a house mouse design featuring one of the Gruffies. Such a sweet stamp (actually they are all sweet). The sentiment is from My Sentiments Exactly. Words are positioned on the wood block so you can use the first part of the phrase on the outside and the second part on the inside if you want. Alot to do today, so until later...............

Hi. This is a card I made for a friend. She is off to Long Island visiting her son and his family and had a birthday, so I made this card and sent it to her. The flowers are Hero Arts Stamps. I was in the mood for something besides fall and halloween colors. My friends favorite color is peach, so I made the card from peach card stock. Having a family get together 0n Saturday night, so have to clean and cook. Until later..............

Hi. Today's card is a really large stamp by Fine Art Stamps, called Nature's Blessings. I stamped it on glossy cards stock with black dye ink and colored with Tombow markers. It is mounted on a blank purchased card with a gold braid design on the front of the card. Hope everyone is doing well. Until later..........

A Good Friend

Tuesday....Hope everyone is staying warm. Was really cold when I left work and by the time I drove home, it was raining, but because of the cold it was slushy! Supposed to get warmer again by the weekend. I'm tired of putting the pumpkin and mums out every morning because if I leave them out they will get the frost. Today's card is one of the bunnies from House Mouse.
I love bunnies and have lots of bunny stamps. Cute little frog too. One more day to work this week, then have to get ready for a family gathering at our house on Saturday night to celebrate a new baby coming in December....exciting. Until later........

The Night Before Christmas

Monday, Monday. Busy day today at work and I didn't get home until 5:45! Gets dark so early now and has been really frosty in the morning. They are calling for some snow showers tomorrow, nothing big deal, but you know it will be here soon. Speaking of snow, the card today is a Thomas Kinkade, by Cornish Heritage Farms. It's called The Night Before Christmas. Sure looks inviting, would love to spend Christmas in this house all frosty and bright. Hope you had a great Monday, and your Tuesday is even better. Until later.............

Harvest Life's Gifts

Goodmorning. Cold again today. Chestnuts were falling and hitting the roof all night. The tree should be just about done shedding its load of chestnuts for the year. Now to rake up all the nuts and shells and put them across the street for the deer. There was a big buck with quite a rack on the front lawn eating chestnuts the other morning when Rick went out to go to work. He did look up, but didn't go anywhere, just kept eating! Today's card is a stamp from Inkadinkado. The background on the card was done by stamping the leaf several times, then sponging color from ink pads onto the card randomly. Hope you have a great day. Until later.........

Burr, had a killing frost overnight and woke up to temperatures in the 30's in the surrounding areas! Had to bring my Mums and Pumpkin in off the porch. Our son-in-law came this morning to help us pull the air conditioners. This is a birthday card I made for a dear friend. The big cake is a stamp by Outlines Rubber Stamp Co. There are several different cakes, but I love this tall one! Background are cuddlebug embossing folders, love them! Words are cuddlebug dies. The card is made from pearly pink card stock. Beautiful crisp fall day today, need to get some things done outside before the snow starts falling...until later...

Jack-O-Lantern

Greetings. It's Thursday! This card is an ode to the perfect pumpkin, that you are now ready to carve up to make into the perfect Jack-O-Lantern. Cleaning it all out is the yucky part. But on the plus side is the roasting the seeds and eating them. My Dad used to insist that we carve the walls very thin, so that when we lit the candle inside, the pumpkin actually glowed. Have a great Friday. Until later

COZY MATES

Hello. This is probably one of my favorite stamps. Anyone who knows me, knows I love wolves. Here, they are hunkered down to keep warm together in a peaceful setting on a cold winter night. The grey wolf has recently been placed back on the endangered species list (hurray). But, Alaska wants to be able to issue licenses to people to hunt them down from helicopters and shoot them for sport. (they have done this in the past) Let's hope that doesn't happen. This wolf pair stamp is by Cornonado Island, and the frosty trees in the background
is Stampscapes. Enjoy your Thursday. Until later....

It's Tuesday! I bought this set from Darcies from my local stamp store (Buffalo Stamps & Stuff)on my last visit. Had seen it at the local stamp show this August, but bought a couple of others, so was glad Sharon had gotten it in. Isn't he cute? Can't wait to make a card with him. You can also stamp him without the hat and make earmuffs. Would be cute on the top of a decorated box too.....so many stamps and ideas, so little time! Until later..............

Give Thanks

Happy Columbus Day! Had to work today, but the traffic was light this morning, so that was a plus. This card was inspired by the background paper, which is a cocktail napkin (also a gift from Austin, Texas). As soon as I saw the print, I knew I wanted to do something with it. And the wheat stamp (Judikins)I had purchased at my local stamp store (Buffalo Stamps and Stuff ) had been sitting uninked, waiting for inspiration. So, when the two met, this was the results. Until later.........

Happy Birthday Husband

Hope your enjoying your Sunday. This card was a request from a co-worker for a card for her husband's birthday. Guy cards are probably the hardest to do. She said he liked old cards, so I pulled out this stamp. Took me awhile to pull it together, but I like the end result, hope she does too! Until later..............

Finally decorated for fall..........

Well, I finally got some fall decorations out! Even bought a couple of Mums and a pumpkin to sit on the front porch. The leaves are coming down now and we have two chestnut trees on the front lawn and chestnuts are dropping like crazy. What the kids don't cart away, we rake up and put them in a field across the street for the deer. Love looking out the bay window and seeing them finding the chestnuts in the snow. And we live in the city. We have a small herd that lives in about one square mile. People complain about their bushes and flowers constantly, but we love seeing them, reminds you that they were here first and we are the intruders! In the Spring we see a fawn or two. Todays card is the Pump-kin. What a cute shoe! The background is the pumpkin cuddlebug folder. The great mug and little ghost candies were a gift from Austin, Texas, aren't I a lucky gal!!! Until next time.................

Thinking of You

It's finally Friday!! That's what I sing when I go over to my daughter's house to get the kids off to school in the morning on Fridays. They love it. Today's breakfast treat was hot Cinnamon rolls with icing, they loved that even more! Heidi called me last night and asked me to make a card for someone she works with that lost her husband on Wednesday. Sympathy cards are always difficult to make, but I have made several designs over the years that I liked so I kept a sketch of them so that when pressed, I have those to go by. The flower stamp is a Penny Black. There are beautiful words inside that say, The tide recedes but leaves behind bright sea shells on the sand, The sun goes down, but gentle warmth still lingers on the land, The music stops, and yet it echoes on in sweet refrains..., For every joy that passes, something beautiful remains. This stamp is by Inky Antics. We think of them today as they gather as a family to honor the memory of their loved one. Until later.

So Much to be Thankful for

What a beautiful Thursday we're having. Sun is shinning and its almost 70 degrees. Perfect fall day. I was just outside feeding the fish and there are quite a few leaves in the pond. Fish are still active and come to the top to feed. Todays card is an oldy but goodie. Have had it for a long time, but always makes a great card. Hope you are having a great day. Until later.....

Scary Trick and Treaters

It's Tuesday. Still didn't get my fall decorations out. Have some beautiful things I have collected over the years, but have to go into the basement and dig them out of boxes. Maybe tomorrow night after work. I love the kids on this card. Reminds me of when we were kids and went out trick or treating in a group. I also love that it shows them from the back! Oh Halloween, frightful and delightful. Until later.........
