Wedding Anniversary

Hi Friends, today is our daughter Heidi's and son in law Brian's wedding anniversary.  Wow how time flies.  Congratulations kids, we love you and wish you many more happy anniversaries.

I made this card for them to wish them a happy 16th.

The die is a new one for me, it's Spellbinders, Floral Oval, I just love it
and you can bet you will be seeing it again soon.  The flowers were cute with a die from Tim Holtz by Sizzix, it's a 12 inch long 2 inch wide strip die and has flowers and leaves on it.
The leave clusters is also a Sizzix die.  Added pearl centers to the flowers and some Star Dust Stickles.  That beautiful pearlized paper is from the Paper Studio, from Hobby Lobby.
I used the colors from the wedding.

Have a great Friday.  Try to stay cool!!  Thanks for stopping by.  Until later.....

LONDON

Hello blog friends.  Geez this week has just flown by.  Seems there was something to do everyday this week.  And the hot weather has returned, ugh!

I have made this card for the challenge at Penny Black and Friends Saturday Challenge,# 207, and they want you to use a bunting or flag or banner on your card.

I bought a couple of the special Olympic collection stamps from Penny Black, and this one of the double deckered bus is my favorite.  And, the entire critter gang is on the bus going to the Olympics.
We love watching them on TV and can't wait for them to start.

Stamp - Penny Black
Paper - red stripped glitter paper, DCWV Nantucket Stack
Starts are a punch
Gold ribbon
Banner I made myself and hung it on gold cord.
Colored with Copics

Hope you had a great Thursday.  Tomorrow is our daughter's wedding anniversary, gotta go make her card!!

Thanks for stopping by.  Have a great Friday.  Until later..........

HOUSE MOUSE CHALL 122-1000 FOLLOWERS

If your looking for the House Mouse 1000 followers post it's HERE

HOUSE MOUSE AND FRIENDS MONDAY CHALLENGE MW REMINDER

Just a quick post to let you know that the House Mouse and Friends Monday Challenge # 122,
Liquid Refreshment for summer is at the midway point.  You still have until Saturday June 30th
at midnight to join us.

Don't forget, besides our great Sponsor prizes, some of the design team have candy on their blogs to
give away in celebration of going over 1000 followers.

I think this little mouse flying off the cork of the wine bottle is one
of my first and favorite stamps.  I colored the mouse and cork twice and popped one up over the other one so it looks like he is airborn.

I used glossy accents on the bottle.

Hope you have a chance to enter the challenge.  We love to visit and see what you come up with.

Check out the samples by the design team on the House Mouse and Friends Monday Challenge site.

Thanks for stopping by today.  Have a great Monday.  Until later.

BSS MONDAY IDEA - Embossing

WELCOME TO THE BUFFALO STAMPS AND STUFF
MONDAY IDEA

Today's idea is to use embossing.

I used an embossing folder from Sizzix , Ornate Frames Set (656989)

I hope you can see the detail on this embossing frame.
I just adhered it to an aqua card stock and cut the front
1/4 inch shorter so I could add designer paper (My Mind's Eye, Howdy Doody)
just to the inside edge of the card so it shows.
The sentiment is Penny Black (4176H). Butterfly die is Memory Box, Vivienne Butterfly 98265.
I put Diamond Stickles on the butterfly.

Embossing adds such beautiful texture to a card.

Thanks for stopping by today. Have a great Monday.  Until later.......

A Visit to Niagara Falls

Just wanted to post a couple of pictures of a visit to Niagara Falls today.  The visit was made especially sweet because I met my teammate from the House Mouse Design Team, America Kuhn and her family there.  They are on vacation and Niagara Falls is one of their stops.  How lucky was that for me that I got to meet her in person.  We were both thrilled to actually meet, but I think our husbands and her kids may have been a bit bored after a while.

My hubby took this first shot of us and of course had to say something funny
just before he clicked the pic, hence my wide open mouth!!

America and her family

America and her kids

Such a sweet girl, loved meeting her in person!!
And her kids and hubby were such fun too.
Thanks America, glad you came.

BSS Monday Idea - TEEPEE Card

WELCOME TO THE BUFFALO STAMPS AND STUFF MONDAY IDEA.
Before we get started, just want to say what a beautiful bride Jessica was, and
if you haven't seen the pictures, see the post below. And her sister, Katelyn was looking especially
beautiful too! Congrats, Sharon and Mark.
OK, a little background on this idea.
A woman named Kitty, from Independence, Mo. contacted me by email a couple of years
ago when she started to read this blog and follow my Monday ideas. She has relatives
in Auburn, New York and visits once a year in the summer and makes it a point to stop in
at Buffalo Stamps and Stuff on her way home.
Well, Kitty is responsible for the Monday idea this week, a TeePee card.
She has even provided a link for a tutorial on the card. Easy to put together
and fun to decorate.
Paper is Graphic 45 Playtime's Past Collection. Image is Penny Black - Roses on the Run (3927H)
Butterflies are the punched out area of an EK Success border punch.
Colored with Copic Markers.
White die cut is Nellie Snellen (MFD 011)
Green die circle is Spellbinders Classic Circles

Side two of the TeePee card, punched scalloped circle with Marvey Punch
Sentiment stamp is Jillian Vance Design (Celebrate Men 2011-099)
Sentiment on side three is also from this set.
Used the roses from the main image at the bottom of the scalloped circle.
Red lace border is a Martha Stewart punch.
Card stands up for displaying. I used a Velcro button on the back panel
to hold it together for standing. Undo the Velcro button and it folds for
mailing.
Thanks so much Kitty for sharing this tutorial with me and for your
always kind words about the Monday ideas. So glad you check in each Monday to
see what's up here in Buffalo. As a side note, Kitty isn't making the trip to New York
this year as she is awaiting the birth of her first Grandchildren, twins, a boy and a girl.
That will do it for this week.
Hope you have time to try this unique card.

Thanks for stopping by today.  Have a great Monday.  Until later.........

Godfather to three other "kids", Happy Father's Day.

This is the first flap of the insert.

PUPPY PICTURES

A quick post today to share some pictures we received today from the breeder that we will be
getting our new puppy from.  They are 4 weeks old in the pictures, but will be 5 weeks old
this Saturday.

Aren't they just adorable.  Such sweet babies, Can't wait to see them in person
and have one of these cuties pick us as their new Mom and Dad!
Nothing like an adorable fur baby.

FYI, the adult dog in the picture is actually the Grandma of the puppies.
She's babysitting while the Mom has a little rest away from the pups!
How cute is that!!!!!!!!!!!!

The breed is Keeshond (Pronounced, KAZ-HOND (like Honda)
They are the National Dog of Holland.
Can't wait to get our hands on one of these sweet little Dutch girls.

Hope to be back with a card later today or early tomorrow morning.

Going to the Chapel

Happy Hump Day!  Man, June is going by so quickly.  Our kids get out of school this week here.
They are so looking forward to lazy days by their pool and sleeping in.  Our Granddaughter will go to the high school next year for ninth grade and our Grandson will go to Middle School for seventh grade. Seems like just yesterday they were just starting school!

I made this wedding card and small gift bag for a friends daughter who is getting married soon.
The tiny gift box in my Monday challenge is in the bag with a small gift.

I made the card with pearlized white on white paper from the Paper Studio (Hobby Lobby).
Ran it through the Cuttlebug metal folder that cuts out the middle and embosses in one pass.
Added pearls and hearts around the frame.  The oval is a kwik Kutz die.

I used the same coral colored textured card stock and the white on white paper on the bag, added
a tulle bow with rhinestones in the tulle.

Have a great Wednesday.  Hope you are beating the heat, it is hot here, supposed to get back
to normal tomorrow.  Thanks so much for your visit.  Until later...........

Sparkly Flowers

Hi Friends.  Hope you are enjoying your Tuesday.  We ran around most of the day today doing errands. It is hot and sticky here, but supposed to rain some tonight and cool down tomorrow as far as the humidity.  Even a little trip to Hobby Lobby and some new goodies.

Today's card is for the challenge at Penny Black and Friends Saturday Challenge #205  The theme this time is Red, White and Blue.

I used a flower Penny Black stamp.  Inked with Marvy Brush markers right on
the rubber and stamped on white card stock oval.
Dotted around the flowers randomly.  Inked entire oval with
Versamark water mark clear ink, and embossed with
sparkly white embossing powder.

Mounted the oval onto a peralized blue rectangle, punched corners
with a corner punch.  Mounted onto white on white patterned card stock
and red flowered paper onto blue card.  Added some rhinestones to the corners
and the small bow.

Thanks for stopping by today.  Until later.............

BSS MONDAY CHALLENGE - LITTLE SURPRIZE BOX

Welcome to the Buffalo Stamps and Stuff Monday Idea
Today's idea is a little surprise box. I saw this little box tutorial at
Dawn has provided all the measurements and a video of how to put it together.
Here is the little finished box. It's made from one piece of 71/2x10 Card stock
scored and folded. And a belly band from an 11x1 inch piece.

Here's the surprise! Is this a cute little gift box or what?
The card stock for this box is Graphic 45 Play times/Pastimes Collection, Hopscotch,
two sided paper. Two sided paper is great for this project because it decorates
the inside as well. A gift card or small gift fits perfectly into this tiny treasure.
The roses were made with Crepe Paper from Melissa Frances and the Die-Namics Large Rolled Rose die. The leaves are Prima.

I made this one for a wedding gift. Paper is white on white from my stash.
The Heart is made from a Martha Stewart border punch. The flower on top is
made from lace that I just gathered in three sizes and hot glued to the box.
The pearl stems are from the bridal dept at the craft stores. The rings from the dollar store.

View from the top of the box.
This little box is so unique, and goes together in about 15 minutes and is fun to decorate.
Please remember, the cutting and scoring is the important part in any project going together
perfectly. Also, anything glued to the top for decoration can only be glued to the
belly band.
Hope you have a chance to make a little surprise box for the many gift giving
occasions where you need to give a small gift.

Thanks for stopping by today.  Have a wonderful Monday.  Until later.....
