Merry Christmas

Just wanted to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas.

We are so snowed in!  Has been blowing and snowing all day

today and started yesterday afternoon.  Can't even

see across the street.  AND, very cold.  So we will wait

it out until it is safe to travel the mile to our daughters

house to celebrate Christmas. 

A driving ban has been in effect since yesterday

and since being able to see where you are going

is essential, don't know when it will be lifted.

We are grateful that we didn't have to go

without power! Many have lost power for

three days now.

                                     The countdown is on!  Need to bake early this                            week then looking forward to Christmas.

            Have a few Christmas cards I didn't post, 

           so thought I would do that this week.

Bio.

I have been drawing since a child and studied graphics at College many years ago, I now work as a Medical photographer part time but my love was always drawing. I started cardmaking about 4yrs ago when I bought my daughter a cardmaking kit which we did together, but I’m afraid I got the bug! My daughter preferred scrapbooking. I then started looking online at other blogs and this then became my passion and I loved sharing my cards with like minded people.

I love stamping and loved finding images, but sometimes I could not find what I wanted so I started to draw myself. This then has become my second addiction and I have never looked back, I love thinking of new images, and its just fabulous to see others take them and make them into beautiful works of art. Long may it continue!

Christmas Village

Hi Friends, we have had two days of snow and two days of clean

up after the snow. We were actually lucky, only got about a foot

and a half, others are still digging out. Our Buffalo Bills football

team had to fly to Detroit to play as they have a domed stadium

and ours isn't, and the clean up of the open air stadium is going

to be massive as they got the most snow, 77 inches!!!

I tackled the Honey Bee die set of the Winter Village as long

as we aren't venturing out in order to let the snow plows do

there job!

Lots of small pieces, but was fun and relaxing to put together.

The cloud paper is from Paper Wishes

The snow Acetate is from Hunky Dory

Used Star Dust Stickles and White Opal

Liquid Pearls for the snow on the top of the trees

Bottom portion of the card is white glitter card

stock and cotton with a little blue ink

I left the dies on the piece of card stock they

came on and cut them out several times so

I would have lots o extra pieces. I colored

with Copics.

I saw a card like this on Pinterest.  The person who posted it even supplied a

link for directions, But when I clicked on the link, it showed a different

card and no directions.

I liked this so much I made my version of the card.  

The papers I used are from Christmas paper pads from Hobby Lobby

from the past couple of years.
