Bio.

I have been drawing since a child and studied graphics at College many years ago, I now work as a Medical photographer part time but my love was always drawing. I started cardmaking about 4yrs ago when I bought my daughter a cardmaking kit which we did together, but I’m afraid I got the bug! My daughter preferred scrapbooking. I then started looking online at other blogs and this then became my passion and I loved sharing my cards with like minded people.

I love stamping and loved finding images, but sometimes I could not find what I wanted so I started to draw myself. This then has become my second addiction and I have never looked back, I love thinking of new images, and its just fabulous to see others take them and make them into beautiful works of art. Long may it continue!

I made three gift boxes from a My Favorite Things 6x6 Paper Pack

called Homespun Gingham.

The kitty stamp set is Impression Obsession (CL1088)

There are eight kitties and five word stamps.

We had a black kitty like this when my daughter was growing up named

midnight. And now her family has one who just turned 13 years old

named Stormy

Time to get a pumpkin

Hi friends, hope everyone is doing well this Wednesday.  The rain and storms have

finally left the area, to the delight of me and my dog.!  The pond is so full that

if we didn't have it surrounded by rocks, the fish would be floating around

in the middle of our yard!

I am making some Autumn cards to send to friends and relatives who no

longer live in this area and miss the changing of the leaves.

We have two horse chestnut trees in our front yard (chestnuts are not edible)

but the squirrels are carting them away for winter.  Good deal for us

then we don't have to rake up so many!

Stamp is from Northwoods Rubber Stamps and I have had it for a long time

Christmas Baubles

Hope everyone is enjoying their Tuesday.  We are expecting severe thunder storms

this evening (again) and our poor dog is so scared she gets crazy.  We got meds

from the Vet, and they work, but she becomes a zombie and I hate how pathetic 

she looks, but better than running around digging the rugs and panting.

I am going to try to post more of my cards besides my housemouse and

my card a week for my local stamp store.  When I worked full time, I

made a card and posted everyday.  How did I do that??

Anyway, here is a Christmas card I made recently.

I made a slimline card.  The pine branches stamp is an old one.

The baubles are a die from Sizzix.  They are called Impresslits

and they cut and emboss at the same time!  I love them.  I bought

 a few others and love them all.

They are cut with different foil papers and the end one is

is made with holographic paper from Michaels.  I glued

a thin silver string to the back of each one.

That's it, simple and I love how it turned out.

BSS IDEA - Pine Cones and Pine Boughs

Hello friends, hope everyone is doing well

and enjoying the cooler temperatures of

the last two days.  I am so ready for Autumn!

I made a fun fold card today

This week's card.

                                                                              

                                     Stamps used - Pine Bough Background, Whimsy Stamps (DA1151)
                                 Inside Word Stamps - Spellbinders Holiday Quotes (STP-044)
                                 Outside Word Stamp - IO-Large Winter Greetings (3237)

                                  Inside pine bough stamp is an older stamp
                                  Pinecone Die - Memory Box Pinecone Stackers (4486)

                                  Circle Die - Gina Marie Designs

                                  Papers used - Green, Blue, white cardstock

                                  White glitter paper for assorted snowflakes

                                  Inks Clair, Paradise Blue

                                  Front of card image is colored with colored pencils

                                   Card is an A2, 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 inches

                                   Inside accordian fold is 1 sheet of designer paper 10 x 5 1/4

                                   Scored at 2in, 3 in, 4 in, 5in, 6 in, 7 in, 8 in

                                   Starting at the first 2 inch score line, valley fold, then mountain fold

                                   repeat this pattern  until you get to the 8 inch fold

                                   I added a piece of white cadrstock to the last two inches so you could

                                   add a note and sign the card.

                                   Decorate each panel with a sentiment or small stamped image to go

                                   with the theme of your card (like the circles I added)

                                    

                                    This is a nice fun fold card, hope you get a chance to try it.
