Hello. Hope your Tuesday was a good one. My sister sent my brother-in-law over with fresh corn from the farmers market, some pepper relish she canned and a delicious Peach-Blueberry Pie. We cooked some hot dogs on the grill and what a feast we had! Everything tasted so good. Thanks Sis!!
I made this card with the sketch from Midnight Madness Sketch Challenge (MMSC69). The Stamp is by Stamp Camp (Austin, Texas) and I got it at the stamp show last weekend that was in our town. The paper is by DCWV. I used a Hero Arts Stamp on one of the circles and embossed with blue embossing powder. One of the other circles I ran through the heart embossing folder. The bottom circle is a pink doily. The lace border is Martha Stewart. The beautiful butterfly is from Michael's floral department. Rhinestones from Kaiser. Corners are a punch by paper shapers. I made the card open from the top and the bottom for something different and flipped the sketch.
I'm also entering this card in the Cinema Saturday Challenge(#93), this weeks Movie is Annie. These little gals reminded me of the little orphans, who were Annie's friends. They look like they are from that era with their little sailor shirts and bowed dresses. And I thought the sentiment was perfect too. This movie is close to our hearts, as our daughter played Annie in a school play years ago, and she belted out those songs like a pro. Such great memories. I made all the costumes she wore too, including Annie's trademark red dress.
OOPS, I forgot the challenge requirement to use red on your card for Cinema Saturday, so since I did it
in all pastels, I won't be entering the card there afterall.
Thanks for stopping by today. Hope you have a great Wednesday! Until later......
