BSS MONDAY IDEA - Frames and Flowers

Welcome to the Buffalo Stamps and Stuff Monday Idea.

Today's card has Frames and Flowers, a great combination.

A simple but elegant Anniversary card, but could be used for any number
of occasions.

I chose the black and white theme to let the flowers pop, but
any number of color combinations would be beautiful.

Closeup of flowers.

Card Recipe

Stamps - JustRite Large Fancy Sentiments (CR-3815)
Papers - Black, white, green and yellow cardstock
Die - Norrland Flower by Memory Box (98505)
I made three.
Spellbinders Large Deckled Mega Rectangle Nestabilities (S5-015)
Cuttlebug Embossing Folder
Card Base is 5x7 inch black carstock
white textured cardstock mat is 4/3/4x63/4 with the second largest die cut from
the center.
Black layer is 43/4x63/4 with third largest die cut from the center
White embossed layer is 3 1/2x51/2.
Run glue runner around back of the black layer and adhere to embossed layer.
run glue runner around back of the white layer and adhere to black layer, making sure to center
it.
If you want to pop up the whole piece on the black card, put mounting tape around
the edge of the white 4 3/4 by 6 3/4 and adhere to the card.
Put the flowers together by sponging with a slightly darker color ink on the edges
and using small pop dots to give them some height.  Sponge leaves.
Stamp words at the bottom of the card, and swirl at the top of the frame
Adhere the flowers to the card ( I used hot melt glue)
Added yellow Stickles to the center of the flowers.
Add ribbon and bow to the left side of the card.

This card has so many possibilities. Different embossing folder, different colors, different die frame shape and different flowers would completely change the entire look of the card.

Hope you have a chance to make a Frame and Flower card.

Thanks for stopping by today.  Have a great day.  Until later...........

BSS MONDAY IDEA - PAPER PIECING

WELCOME TO THE BUFFALO STAMPS AND STUFF MONDAY IDEA.

Well, at least we saw the sun this weekend, even if it was accompanied by some snow flurries.
Good thing Easter is late this year, we at least have a chance that the weather will be nice.

This weeks idea is paper piecing.  Although not a new technique, when I saw this stamp,
I thought how fun it would be to paper piece it.

Close up of birdhouse.

Finished card.

Card Recipe

Stamp - Impression Obsession - ( G16002) Cling
Inside Sentiment - A Muse (8-8535C)
Dies - Grass Poppystamps (825) Branch Memory Box (98187)
Leaves - Cottage Cutz Bella Leafy Branch (CCE-003)
Adirondack Inks - Meadow Green, Stonewashed blue
Colored the yellow parts with copic markers
Card base is 41/8x51/2
Stamped with Versafine Onyx and embossed with clear EP
Action Wobbler holds the birdhouse on the card and
makes it move like it would,  hanging in a tree.
Tim Holtz sponge applicator used to sponge clouds (tear or cut a paper
towel and sponge along the edge in a upward stroke on the card.
Move the paper towel as you move down the card,  so pattern isn't the same on each row.
Sponge edges.

Stamp the image on white or cream card stock.  Then stamp the images you want
to paper piece onto scraps of designer papers and cut out and adhere to the stamped image
on the white/cream card stock.  When you have finished, cut out the entire finsihed image and
adhere to your card.

Thanks for stopping by today. Have a great day.  Until later...............

Welcome to the weekly Buffalo Stamps and Stuff Monday Idea.

This week's card is a gatefold card with a twist.

Here are measurements and instructions so you can make a card like this.
You can use any shape for the opening in the gatefold.

5-7 Gatefold Card with circle opening
Cut base card  from cards tock 7x10 inches
Score @ 2 ½ inches on either end

Front panels are cut at 2 ¼ x 61/4
And 2 5/16 x 6 ½ inches

After card base is made and panels  are stamped and in place,
Mark the ½ inch mark on your punch and punch out half a circle
On each panel where you want to place your circle stamped image.
Measure down the panel so both are in the same place and form
A perfect circle when card is closed.

I popped up the stamp on the pink and black panel so that
When the card is closed, it is popped out on the front of the card.
You can leave it flat if you prefer.

Center the circle stamp, now mounted on the other circles, into the
circle hole on inside of the card and Close the card for a perfect fit,
then glue in place on the inside.

Stamps used:
Circle stamp - Hero Arts AC005 Untitled Word Shadow Set
Stamped on white card stock with Versafine onyx ink and
Embossed with clear embossing powder. Then cut out.

Flower Stamp - Stampendous P107 Agapanthus Cluster

Ink - Versafine onyx  with clear embossing powder

Paper - Graphic 45 Botanical Tea

Punches - 1 1/2 inch circle punch or die
2 inch Scallop Punch or die
Border punch - Martha Stewart
Corner die - La La Land

Inside die - Spellbinder’s Nestabilities
 Fleur De Lis Squares (S4-318)

Gold Edge pink organza ribbon

Fun gate fold card, lots of possibilities.

Easter Tildas

Hi friends.  Well, it was 52 degrees on Tuesday, and today we had about 12 inches of snow.  Everything was closed because of blizzard conditions.  Throw in 30 mile an hour winds and even some thunder this afternoon and it was quite the day.  Fortunately we didn't have to go out, so I just spent the day in my craft room, catching up with some DT work and being thankful I didn't have to go out.

I made this card for the challenge at Totally Tilda Challenge which this time is Easter AND you must show at least one egg on your project or card.

Used these three little Easter Tildas for my Easter card.

Front of Z-Fold card.

Inside of card opened up.
