Yoga Class

Hi friends, I have been down with a terrible cold.  Wow, haven't had one in a few years, and
this one sure did come on fast and have a real grip on me.  Hope to be getting around
to your blogs and commenting soon.

I made this card with the Frog Yoga stamp set from Stampendous for
my best friend who has recently taken up yoga.  I used one of the frogs and sentiments
from the clear set on my Monday post, but on this card I used all the frogs
and sentiments!

BSS IDEA - Who Let The Dogs Out

Welcome to the Buffalo Stamps and Stuff Idea.

Hope everyone hope you all had a wonderful Valentines Day.

Going to have some warm days this week, so I am sure we will be
thinking Spring.

This weeks card is a clear Acrylic Card.

  Stamp - Laurel Burch - Stampendous (LBCP008)
Sentiment Stamp - Printworks -(C4822)
Green and white card stock
Woodgrain designer paper
Heavy Clear Acrylic Sheet
White Embossing Powder
Stitched Rectangle die
Colored with Copics and fussy cut out.

You need to cut four of the rectangles
so that you can put one of them on the inside to cover the piece
that is glued to the front and one on the back of the card to cover
the sentiment rectangle so that the glue/tape liner doesn't show..

Same with the strips on the bottom.

Dogs are fussy cut and a black glitter paper is cut, leaving a small
piece showing like a shadow, then popped up with foam tape
onto the rectangle.

It's a unique and different look for a card, and fun to make.

Thanks for stopping by today.
Have a great day.  Until later....

HAPPY MAIL

So excited.  My new Tim Holtz Glass Craft Mat was delivered today!

I watched a video on Scrapbook.com with Tim Holtz demo of this new product.
I have always stamped and made cards on a glass mat (Kitchen cutting board)
with feet that was just slightly bigger than Tim's newest invention.
I love the grid on the front, and on the right side, there is a craft mat
which peels off to show a small palette surface for using distress inks, water colors
or whatever you want.

The video is HERE if you would like to watch it.

Gotta go and test drive it now.

Litle Mermaid

Hi friends.  Hope you're having a nice day.  We are warmer than we have been
for a long time today and melting like crazy!  Snow should be gone
by the time it returns again on Saturday!

Used a Sweet little mermaid stamp today which I recently purchased.
My Granddaughter who is in her second year of college LOVES the ocean
and the beach. Many of their vacations have been to the ocean
in Virginia and a wonderful resort, which the whole family loves.
So I will probably save this for her upcoming birthday in April, she
will enjoy this little sweetie.

Stamp - Penny Black - A Mo Manning image, Mermaid Bath 40-457
Paper with starfish is Craft Smith from Michaels
Dies - Square nestabilities Spellbinders
Clare Corner die is  Memory Box
Stickles on the bubbles
Scraps used to make the flag for the sentiment
which came from the same 12x12 paper stack as the starfish
I also used a scrap from the paper to cut out a starfish to pop up
on the card.
Colored with Copics

I'd like to enter this card into the following challenges

Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge - Use dies on your card
Penny Black February Challenge - AG/Use some scraps

Did you enjoy some chocolate yesterday? My kids called to thank me
for their Valentines goodies and hand made cards.

BSS IDEA - Floating Image

WELCOME TO THE BUFFALO STAMPS AND STUFF IDEA.

Hi everyone, as promised in last weeks post, I have a cute little
Valentine card that you can make up lickity split.

I found the instructions on youtube by Jennifer McGuire HERE

You will need a small piece of tulle material for this idea.
I used a piece I bought at JoAnn's a long time ago that
has silver glitter squiggly lines on it, but Jennifer used
just a white piece on her example.  It is very inexpensive
and I love the idea.

Here is my card

Close up of window

The inside of the card.

Stamp - I Love Us - Penny Black Forever and Always clear set (30-401)
Dies - Penny Black Kitty Love (51-407)
Heart die - Spellbinders Heart nestabilities
Punch - Lace border Martha Stewart (I used a Versafine pen
and a ruler along the edge of this die then embossed with
Silver embossing powder
Paper - Red White and Light Gray Cardstock
Embossing Folder - Cuttlebug hearts
White embossing powder
A piece of Tulle big enough to cover whatever shape
you make your frame from.

Just make sure you leave enough room at the bottom on the inside of your card when
cutting out a frame so you can sign the card  on the right side and it won't show through the window.

The only thing I did different from Jennifer on the video was I placed
my red mat on the card front with some low tack tape, then cute
through both the mat and the card front at the same time so I was
sure they would match up perfectly.

You could also use acetate or vellum in your frame for the same
effect.

Hope you will try this card, I am always looking for something new
to try and I loved how this turned out.

Thanks for stopping by today.
Have a Happy Valentines Day

VALENTINES

Hello.  Making Valentines this week.  These two cards are made from a
Stamp set and a matching Die Set from My Favorite Things.

The first one  from the die set, the second one  from
the stamp set, which includes the board and x's, o's and hearts
and lots of great words to go with it.

My local stamp store had a Super Bowl Party and we made the
first one from the die set .  I bought only the stamp set and made the
second one at home.  Love the words that
came with the stamp set.  Both cards are fun.

Designer paper is Michaels Valentine 12x12  Paper Pack
Cuddlebug embossing folder
And Stamp is My Favorite Things (C8-231) X'x and O's

Off to make some more Valentines so I can get them in the
mail by Saturday.

Thanks for stopping by today.
Have a great day, Until later.....
