BSS MONDAY IDEA - CHRISTMAS STOCKING GIFTCARD/MONEY HOLDER

WELCOME TO THE BUFFALO STAMPS AND STUFF MONDAY IDEA.
Today's idea is a Christmas Stocking Gift Card/Money Holder

Stocking Recipe

Stamps - Darcies Clear Stamp Set POL13 Santa Baby
Papers - My Mind's Eye (I Believe)
Gold Jingle bell and ribbon
Marvey punched scalloped oval
Border punch EK Success
Colored with Copic Markers

I added a loop of cardstock before gluing the front to the back.
I wrapped my gift card in foil wrapping paper, added a gold ribbon, and left the card peeking out of the stocking.

Right click on stocking, then click on Print Target
Instructions:

Cut out pattern for the stocking.
Cut two pieces of card stock from the pattern. You will need to cut them so they go together with the decorated side of the cardstock is on the outside
Lay the gift card on the inside center of the back piece of the stocking, gift card even with the top.
Trace the gift card in pencil.
Use a strong tape adhesive, run a line along both sides and the bottom of the traced lines.
This will prevent the gift card from going down into the stocking.
Glue the rest of the stocking back, and adhere the front to the back.
Round the corners on the top of the stocking.
Cut a strip of contrasting paper 8" x 2 1/2". Using a border punch, punch a border on the bottom of the strip.
Center the strip on the front of the stocking, fold at edges of stocking on either side to the back.
Before attaching, round the corners at the side folds.
Adhere to the top of the stocking.
Have fun decorating this fun gift card/Money holder.
You can put gift card/money right in the slot you created or leave it sticking out.

Despite the long step by step instructions, these go together fast with really cute results.
With the holidays only weeks away, these handy gift card holders could come in handy and can be decorated for anyone.

Thanks for stopping by today.
Have a great Monday.

TRUFFLES

Before I start my post today, just a reminder.  Today is Veteran's Day in the United States.
We owe a debt of gratitude to the men and women that have served and are currently serving our country in the military. They sacrifice so much to protect and serve.  Thank a veteran today!!

Hi, hope your Thursday was good.  I went to a couple of the craft stores with my coupons today.  Had some retail therapy, always fees good!

Today's card is for the Midnight Madness Sketch Challenge (MMSC) #129.  The House Mouse and Friends Monday Challenge is sponsoring the challenge this month and we are so excited about that!

I have made my card following the sketch (I flipped it on it's side) and used a darling House Mouse Stamp, Yummy Treats, for my card.  The current challenge theme at House Mouse and Friends Monday Challenge is Give Thanks/Thank You, so if you make a card using the sketch from Midnight Madness and a House Mouse image and theme, you can enter both challenges!

These little critters have gotten into this beautiful box of truffles and had their fill!

GLAD TIDINGS

Our poor ole gal, the blog dog, Keeley hasn't been feeling well the last couple of days.  She just layed around and slept a lot and wasn't eating.  This afternoon when I let her out and she was coming back to the porch to come in I noticed that her one eye was really swollen.  Haven't got the slightest idea what happened, but called the Vet and took her over and he checked her out.  Doesn't know if it is a bug bite, she bumped it or and infection.  Everything else was okay, so they gave me meds for the next few days.  She perked up tonight and ate roast beef for dinner, she's 13 and 1/2 so always scary when she isn't herself.

Today's card is for the challenge at Penny Black and Friends Saturday challenge # 176. The theme is Christmas/Silver/Snowflakes/Snow.

I used this Slapstick Stamp from Penny Black called Kindness.

BSS MONDAY IDEA - CHRISTMAS TAGS

WELCOME TO MONDAY MORNING
AND THE BUFFALO STAMPS AND STUFF MONDAY IDEA.

Today's idea is to make some Christmas tags. Wow, can you believe that Halloween is over and Thanksgiving is only 17 days away......and Christmas will follow so quickly you won't even believe it!
So today, I thought we would make a Christmas Tag. The fun thing about tags is you can put some great embellishments on them because they don't have to be put on in an envelope to be mailed. Even if you're mailing your packages, a beautiful tag can be put on them!

My tag recipe:

Stamp - Inkadinkado (60-00682)
Designer paper - My Mind's Eye "The Merry Days of Christmas"
Card stock - Red and Powder Blue
Sponged distress ink around edge
Punched border - Martha Stewart
Ribbon and bells from my stash
Heart Stick Pin - BSS
Pine Cone sticker - Jolee Boutique Stickers
Fir Branch - Pulled from a silk flower stalk
I matted the original tag with red card stock, plenty of room on the back
to write a message or to/from greeting.

OK, I'm off to make more tags.........it's fun and they will become really handy in a few weeks! Thanks for stopping by today.

CHRISTMAS CANDLES

Hello, hope everyone enjoyed their Halloween.  I had about two dozen kids last night, a bumper crop for me, not one person came to my door last year, despite all the lights on, a lit pumpkin and a window full of Fall decorations.  My front door is on the side, so they get to the house next door and cross the street.  Was fun to see the little ones so excited.  The last group around 8 PM were probably high school boys and really surprised me, but each of them lifted a pillowcase to get their candy and said Trick or Treat and Thank you.............what a pleasant surprise!!!

Today's card is for the sixth round of the Progressive Challenges at the Crafter's Digital Art Center.I received my images today and they are all wonderful.  Hope I have time to do them all, but had to do this one right away when I saw it.
