IN THE GARDEN

Hello, hope you had a great Saturday. Rick worked today, first Saturday in a long time. I tried to do wash and catch up. Keeley had an early morning routine vet appointment. She hates the vet. She loves the waiting room and greets all the dogs and kitties that come in, but when it's her turn, she plunks herself down and won't walk to the back offices. She used to like to see the Doc, but something must have traumatized her behind those closed doors at some point.
Today's card is for the Midnight Madness Sketch Challenge (MMSC48) My new friends must think I finished up my March Diva spot and headed for the hills, but that could not be further from the truth, I'm just playing catch up from working some long hours this past week.
The stamp is from Impression Obsession. The birds are a border punch from Martha Stewart.
Loved the sketch this week.
This will be my last week at work, so hopefully will get my stamp room in order and get back to a regular routine soon. Until later..................

SEW MUCH FUN

Hello. Wow I have been MIA for sure this week! Worked three days this week, Monday thru Wednesday and they were long 12 hour days, and when I get home I am brain dead, so no card making. Next week is the end of tax season and my last week to work. I will be back to being fully retired!

Today's card is for the Penny Black challenge. This is one of my favorite challenges because I love the stamps so much, especially the vintage ones I have collected over the years. The challenge this week was to use checks on your entry. I finally got the sewing machine out and figured out how t0 make this double zig zag stitch, with the help of my sister. I like the look and this was the perfect card to use the stitching on.

Hope you had a great Thursday, Michael and I went to breakfast this morning at 7:30 am. Was nice to be just the two of us, then I dropped him off at school. Fun start to the day. Until later...........

BSS-MONDAY CHALLENGE-STAMP IN MULTIPLES

Good Monday Morning to everyone. Hope you had a wonderful Easter. Today's challenge for
Buffalo Stamps and Stuff is to use a stamp more than once on your card.

I chose this beautiful flower stamp from Hero Arts. I stamped and embossed it with white embossing powder. I used black and maroon cardstock to match this beautiful piece of designer paper by creative imaginations. I cut out three flowers, one black and two maroon. I then cut out three additional centers, two black and one maroon to pop up on the original flowers. I used buttons with the shanks cut off for the centers.

Here is a close up of the flower in the center. I popped it up on two pop dots to raise it above
the other two flowers. I added leaves from Prima and used a Martha Stewart punch to punch out the maroon fern looking branches.

I cut a small paper doily in half and adhered it to the card stock before I started placing the flowers. I stamped the word friend and embossed with white. This is an absolutely gorgeous stamp and I can't wait to stamp it on different colored papers and embossing it with different colored embossing powders. I could see this flower on a wedding or anniversary card...awesome!
Hope you have time to try using multiples of one stamp on a card. Could be something small and layered down the side of your card.
Thanks for stopping by. Until later.........

CUTE CHICK

Happy Saturday. Ready for Easter? I'm pretty much set, going to make a couple of last minute things today. Want to make some shortbread cookies in Easter Shapes and frost and decorate them. Going to Heidi's (our daughter) for dinner and to see my kids on Sunday.
Today's card is a Mo Manning image. Isn't she just adorable? I had to make her a redhead. I colored with Copics and used some yellow feathers on the chicks to make them look furry.
The challenge at Digital Pencil blog is to use pastels, so I'm entering this card in the weekly challenge.
Have a great Saturday. Thanks for stopping by. Until later..............

EASTER CARDS

Hello, It's Good Friday. If you are off work today, you probably are getting ready for the Easter Holiday on Sunday. I am going to do some baking and cooking tomorrow. I have made up Easter Bags for my grandkids, so this morning I put the finishing touches to the cards I made them. And here they are! The images are digital images I got from Prairie Fairy Designs. I loved the boy fairy as soon as I saw it. And that cute bunny! I colored with Copics. The background on the boy was done with cateye, direct to paper method. I left the card pretty simple as it is for a boy. The bunny, I added some feathers around the face to look like fur. The punches are MS.

Have a great Friday. Thanks for stopping by. Until later...................

MIDNIGHT MADNESS SKETCH CHALLENGE #47

Wow, can you believe that my month guest spot with the Midnight Madness gals has come to an end! I sure had a great time, and I feel so fondly for everyone on this wonderful team for their support and welcoming nature. They are a great bunch of ladies and I want to thank each and every one of them for the swell time they showed me this month.

I loved the sketch this week, had a blast working with it. I got to use an old favorite stamp, by Rubber Street Stamp Co. I love the face on this wonderful Garden Nymph!

Butterfly cut from Mariposa paper stack and stickled. The webbing was done with gold pearls by Kaiser and Gold sparkly ribbon.

Isn't she beautiful!

Birdcage and bird is by Myra Road. I colored it black with Copics and glittered it with night sky.

Flowers are by Prima

Papers are from the DCWV paper stack Mariposa, beautiful butterfly papers!

The finished card and envelope. This highly embellished card slides right into that 3/4 inch thick envelope, no problem...........and what a presentation. Priscilla's store, where this envelope template can be purchased, is the sponsor for the month of March. She is giving away some awesome merchandise, you should go check it out here.
