BSS - MONDAY IDEA - FATHER'S DAY HOODIE

Every Monday I post an Idea for my local stamp store,

Today's idea is this adorable hooded sweatshirt card made from a stamp by Too Much Fun.

The first one is stamped on white textured card stock.  I colored the cuffs and hood with red and the pocket with blue copic markers.  I went over the shaded areas with light gray.  The word Dad was done with a small alphabet stamp set.  The Buffalo Bills bison I got on the internet and reduced on my copier.  The ties were put through two small holes.  The football stamp is my Karen Foster from a clear set, Game Day.

The second shirt was stamped on green textured card stock, then again on the stripped paper.
I cut out the pocket and hood and glued it over top of the green cardstock.  The fish is from a piece of designer paper.

The backs.

The inside.

The sentiment in the white one is from a stamp company no longer in business, but you could computer generate the words if you liked them.  The green card inside holds a gift card.  I cute a piece of the green cardstock a little bigger than the gift card and used red line adhesive tape on three sides at the very edges (not the top edge).  Then I adhered it to the inside of the card after stamping the senitment.  Slide your gift card into the top opening.

This is a great stamp, can be used for so many occasions.  Stamped in girly colors, can be used for gals too.

Thanks for stopping by today.  Have a great day.  Until later.................

I used an EK Success punch for the border.  The hearts are from the bridal dept at Michael's  The ticket was a free digi sheet of tickets and I don't know who they were from, sorry.  Silver studs on the corners from JoAnn's.

MEMORIAL DAY 2011 - THANK A VETERAN TODAY.

A DAY TO REMEMBER THOSE WHO SERVED, THOSE WHO ARE SERVING TODAY, THEIR FAMILIES WHO SACRIFICE SO MUCH, AND THOSE WHO GAVE THEIR LIVES SO WE MAY BE FREE.

BSS MONDAY IDEA - WHITE EMBOSSING ON KRAFT

Today's idea for Buffalo Stamps and Stuff is to use White embossing on Kraft card stock.

I love the look of white embossing on Kraft card stock.  I have used a large background stamp by B Line for my card, but you could just as easily stamp different flowers or whatever you want on the background and emboss in white.  The stamp is by Penny Black (Slapstick).  I cut the bigger mouse out and colored him and popped it up over the original stamped image.  Simple card with pleasing results!

Inside of the card.

Hope you have a change to try this technique.  Thanks for stopping by today.  Until later.....

GINGERSNAP CREATIONS - FINAL WEEK GUEST ARTIST

Hello.  It's my final week as a visiting artist over at the Gingersnap Creations Challenges.

I have had a great time creating this month and I am honored to be designing alongside the Gingersnap gals!  The Wild West theme for the month was right up my alley too, as growing up, cowboys were my passion and I even had wallpaper in my bedroom that had cowboys and horses on it!

So, this final week, we were to use the colors Denim, Rust and Dust.
I chose to decorate this small picture frame.  First, I went searching for the picture.
This is a picture of me at around age 7.  This fellow would bring this pony down the street in the summer months and you could pay to ride on him, or for an additional amount, you could have your picture taken on the pony, with a hat and scarf loaned from the owner of the pony.  Well, since this is the only picture I ever had taken, I can only assume that the cost was more than my Mother was willing to part with more than once.

I covered the wooden frame with paper from Kazoo Kids by K & Company after I used Vintage Photo distress in on the edges.  Glued twine to around the outside edges and the cutout square for the picture.
The rusty heart with the leather hanger is from my stash and I think it was a Christmas decoration.  I made the flowers with a layered flowers die from Sizzix.  Distressed the edges.

Colored up Tilda, by Magnolia as a cowgirl.  The sentiment is a tag included in the paper stack.

I enjoyed putting this together so much.  Hope you go take a look at the cards/projects that the Design Team has come up with, some very talented ladies over at Gingersnap!!

And you could pull on your boots, get on your horse and create and enter something yourself.

Thanks for stopping by today.  Hope you have a great Wednesday.  Until later..........

HOUSE MOUSE AND FRIENDS MONDAY #96 FOOTBALL FRENZY

It's House Mouse and Friends Monday Challenge Time.

For our 96th challenge, our teamie, Stacy, has chosen "FOOTBALL FRENZY"
in honor of the Super Bowl Winning Team, the Greenbay Packers!

For this challenge, you can make a card using the colors, yellow and green or anything football related.

I chose this cute stamp of the mice discovering football on TV!  I colored with Copics.  Have had this piece of football designer paper under the image forever and put it to good use now.  Faux stitched the edges.  Embossed the green panel with the Herringbone embossing folder.  The words are from a clear stamp set.

Stop on over to the House Mouse and Friends blog and check out the design team and guest artists for May, Esme and Nancy's inspirational ideas for this challenge.

Hope you get a chance to join us, the challenge runs through Sunday, June 5th.  Can't wait to see what you come up with.

Thanks for stopping by today.  Have a great day.  Until later....................

BSS MONDAY IDEA - LACE BACKGROUND

Hello, it's Monday again and time for another idea for Buffalo Stamps and Stuff, my local stamp store.

Today's idea is for this gorgeous lace background.  All you need is two sided adhesive paper, a piece of pretty lace and some glitter.

You simply cut the two sided adhesive paper to fit the front of your card.  Then you place a piece of pretty lace over the adhesive and sprinkle glitter over the entire peice of lace. Shake off excess glitter. Put a piece of copy paper over it and press down lightly to be sure all the adhesive is covered with glitter. Remove the piece of lace (which can be used over and over) and you have this beautiful lace background that sparkles!!

I used light pink cardstock for the base card.  The glitter is a bright pink from Art Institute.
The image is Hero Arts.  The pearls are Melissa Frances.  The beautiful flower is Prima.

This is the same piece of lace, using black card stock and green glitter.
I purchased this piece of bridal lace as a remnant for a dollar.

I cut the front of the card at the bottom and did the same technique on the inside of the card for a different look.

A close up of the inside.  The garden boots are a stamp by Great Impressions.
The inside sentiment is Hero Arts.

So, pull out a piece of lace and try this, it's so beautiful.  You can use lace trim and make a border, just cut your two sided adhesive paper to fit the lace you have.

Thanks for stopping by today.  Have a geat Monday.  Until later................
