ROSES ARE RED

Hi friends, so darn hot here, hard to get motivated to do anything, much less go outside!

I made this card for the Dare to Get Dirty Challenges at Split Coast Stampers.

They started on July 28 and run for a week.  You must be a Fan Club Member to participate.  You have until August 6th to post cards.  There are prizes.  You Can complete one or all of the challenges.
I can't tell you what the theme for this challenge that I am entering this card into is, you must go to the sight yourself.

Card Recipe

Sentiment Stamp - Verses
Paper - Silver grooved paper base card, The Paper Studio
Red text weight paper for roses, hearts, and mat
Square doily
Round Scalloped die is Cheery Lynn, as well as the leave spirals
Roses are a My Favorite Things die
Small white crocheted flowers - Pizzazz Aplenty

Puppy update for those who have asked. Here she is in the Naughty Chair
having a TIME OUT!  Not really, just a photo session, but she looks so
small in the chair, I thought that's what it looked like.  She has taken to digging holes
in the yard................if only we had as much energy as she does....but we love her.

Thanks for stopping by today.  Hope you had a great Tuesday.  Until later............

HOUSE MOUSE AND FRIENDS MONDAY CHALLENGE # 125

Time for a new challenge at the House Mouse and Friends Monday Challenge.

This time our theme has been chosen by our talented teamie (this girl can color!), Heather.

Heather chose the theme "The Olympics"
What a wonderful job London did with the opening ceremonies.  We have been
watching the games every night too.

Here is our theme!

I used paper from the bo bunny patriotic stack.
The images are from portions of five different stamps.
punched, colored with Copics and inserted into circles to
represent the Olympic Rings.

This is the inside of the easel card.  The image is HMUR1033 Glorious Feeling.
Embossing folder is Cuddlebug, Stars.

So, as  you can see, even the mice and a happy hopper are enjoying
 the Olympics.

BSS MONDAY IDEA - CHRISTMAS IN JULY - ROCKER CARD

WELCOME TO THE BUFFALO STAMPS AND STUFF MONDAY IDEA.
Just could not let July get away without a Christmas card in July.
I made a Rocker card, two actually, one in traditional colors and one not-so-traditional colors.
A Rocker card actually rocks back and forth. It is simply made with a circle.
I cut this one with my Grand Caliber, but you could use a circle cutter, a plate, or
any other round form you have. This card is a chocolate brown textured card stock cut in a 7" circle.
I then used the Marianne Design scalloped circle, a smaller punched scalloped circle (Marvy), and finally a smaller punched plain circle (Marvy). All designer paper is Bo Bunny, Snowflake Collection 6x6 stack. Punched pine (Martha Stewart) and glued around the center circle.
The deer is from the Tim Holtz Collection by Sizzix (656923). So is the ticket from Tim, Stamper's Anonymous (Odds and Ends CMS 100). The swirl is cut from White glitter paper and it's
a Cheery Lynn die, but can't find the packaging, will try to find it and add it later.
a smaller punched (Marvy)
Snowflakes are two punches glued together and Kaiser Rhinestones added to the centers.
Used Vintage photo distress ink on the sentiment.

Traditional colors. Stamp is Penny Black Cling, Nature's Best (40-076) I cute the leaves out at the bottom and mounted on green card stock. Clouds are made by ripping a paper towel and using the
Ranger sponge tool to add Broken China distress ink, making quick swipes from the paper towel to the image. Added a Martha Stewart lace border, ribbon and pearls. Star Dust Stickles for the snow.
These Rocker cards are fun and there are lots of possibilities, and fit in a 5x7 envelope.

Thanks for stopping by today.  Have a great Monday.  Until later...........

KISSES AND HUGS

Hello, friends, a little less humidity today, and a slight breeze, which makes it a pretty nice day.  Had the doors and windows open this morning, but closed now and AC running.  Puppy was to the Vet this morning for puppy shots, so is tired now.  She weighed 12.5 lbs today.  Hard to believe she has grown so since we got her just 2 1/2 weeks ago.

I started this card for the challenge at Mo's Digital Challenge, but didn't finish it in time. So I will just post it here today.

Digi-Mo's Digital Pencil
The X's and O's are part of a stamp by Outlines
Card base is glittered card stock
Paper Doily
Punch Around the Page by Martha Stewart, French Scroll
Ribbon organza
Colored with Copic Markers

Cat Nap

Hi blogging friends.  Wow, I haven't posted since last Monday, did you think I left town?

Well here is the reason I haven't been in my stamp room coloring away............

Our new puppy Keeya, has been keeping us hopping.  Very sweet, but
lots of work.  Our daily routine is take the dog out, bring the dog in times
100.  She is very bright, and has learned to sit and give us her paw, each of them, and not to eat the treat off the floor unless we say ok.  And the other things she has learned is how to chew everything in site, and not unlike a real baby, EVERYTHING goes into the mouth.  Of course, she has
absolutely stolen our hearts since coming home 14 days ago.

I finally did some DT work today and got caught up on commenting.  I made this card for the challenge at Phindy's Place # 114 Button it.  The challenge theme was to use buttons on your creation.

I love this digi, My Mom used to make Raggedy Ann and Andy dolls for all the kids in all sizes.  I still have a pair of the 36 inch dolls.

Card Recipe

Digi - Phindy's Place
Paper - The Paper Studio
Frame - Spellbinder's Label 4
Heart Buttons from my stash
Tiny buttons on her dress from my stash
Tiny flowers from small punches
Ribbon - Pizzazz Aplenty
Square doily
Colored with Copic Markers

Thanks so much for stopping by today.  Tomorrow is BSS Monday Idea day.  Until later.........
