Girlfriends

Hi friends.  Hope your Sunday was a good one.  Was warm here today, although most of the day it was overcast.  We did manage to get a puppy walk in, which is a good thing, a puppy walk makes the puppy tired and less rambunctious!  She is getting better, but has a way to go.  Turned 8 month old on the 12th!

Today's card is for the challenge at Art Impressions.  It's challenge #95, Bling it On, All Things Sparkly.

I chose the Girlfriends Stamp,

Lady Bug Bear

Good day, friends.  We are experiencing some warm temps here.  We are used to being insulted about the amount of snow we get and how cold it is in Buffalo, New York, but for the past few winters, we have been like the new south!  Not good for the ski areas though.  But today we are going to walk the dog down by the river, so this weather is okay with me.

Today's card is for the challenge at Sassy Cheryl's. It's challenge # 148, and the theme is "let's Keep it Simple"  They want to seee Clean and Simple this week.  This is ALWAYS a challenge for me, but I love the look.

BSS MONDAY IDEA - CHALKBOARD TECHNIQUE

Welcome to the Buffalo Stamps and Stuff Monday Idea.

Today's idea is called the Chalkboard Technique.

You stamp your image(s) on black cardstock and emboss using white embossing powder.
Lastly, you ink around the edges of your completed piece with white ink, to resemble chalk dust.  I used a white frost cat eye ink pad.  Use your finger or a small piece of paper towel to smudge the ink around.

Sentiment is by Serendipity (145E)
The textured snow dot is an old stamp, but you can get the same result by dotting with a Versafine water mark pen and embossing with white embossing powder.

Here is a view from a distance.  Doesn't it look like a drawing on a chalkboard?

Here is a closup and card Recipe

Stamps - Deer, Penny Black Forest Friends (40-077)
Sentiment - Serendipity Stamps (145E)
Black and medium blue Card stock
Spellbinders M-Bossibilities(EL-014)
Impression Obession Pine Bough Die - (021-N)
White embossing powder
Black and white Bakers Twine

Hope you have a chance to try this technique.  It's fun and love the effect.

Thanks for stopping by today.  Have a great Monday.  Until later.........

Snowman

Hi friends.  Finally got the decorations and tree down.  Still need to put everything away, but at least it is all down and boxed up.  It is so much more fun decorating than it is to take it all down!!

We had some snow, only about 5 inches or so, but put me in the mood to stamp a snowman.

Is this the greatest sentiment!  I LOVE IT.  It's a digi from TLC.

One of my favorite snowmen from Rubber Cottage, Medina, Ohio.

Card Recipe

Papers are Bo Bunny
Snowflake border (corners) and Snowflakes, Martha Stewart
Spellbinders die
Colored with Copics.
Sparkling Reflections embossing powder over entire image.

This is a New Years Card for my friend who loves snowmen as much as I do.

Thanks for stopping by today.  Have a great weekend.  Until later..........

Blogger Trouble

Good Morning.  Hope everyone's weekend is off to a good start.  I have a couple of cards to
share with you, but I am unable to load any photos on blogger.  I went to the help page and they are aware that some users of Internet Explorer (ME) are having this problem.  Will post again as soon as I can.  Have a great weekend.
