Good Monday morning. Today's Buffalo Stamps and Stuff challenge is Faux Stitching. I have used two methods of faux stitching on this card. On the dog and cat print I used the Tim Holtz ruler to punch small wholes evenly spaced around the edge of the image. Then I used a gel pen to connect the wholes being sure to go into each whole. On the heart, I went around the edge with the same gel pen and made small dots and again connected the dots to look like stitching.
This adds interest to your card and only takes a few minutes.
The dog and cat stamp and the sentiment are both by Inky Antics. The papers I used are from Making Memories, Love Notes Stack. I used the Tim Holtz distressing tool to distress the edges of the paper. A sponge dauber was used to sponge light pink around the image.
There is a tutorial at www.splitcoaststampers.com/resources/tutorials/faux_stitching/
and it also shows how to do a couple of other styles of faux stitching.
Hope you get a chance to do some faux stitching soon. Thanks for stopping by. Until later.......
