Welcome to the Buffalo Stamps and Stuff Monday Idea.
Today's idea is to use Glossy Accents as a permanent mask.
I found this idea on the Hero Arts blog site at
Close up of stamped image by Northwoods with glossy accents applied. Click on image to enlarge.
This technique is pretty neat. I stamped the basket of flowers with Versafine Onyx and embossed with clear EP. I then cut the square with a Spellbinders square die. I colored the image with Copic markers then covered the entire image with glossy accents. After letting it dry thoroughly, I sponged different distress ink around the main image. I then used the script stamp by Penny Black and stamped right over the image with Momento black ink. Using a paper towel, I wiped the ink off the glossy accents covering the image. I mounted this piece onto a pink mat. The sentiment is stamped on one of the Spellbinder's Fancy Tag Two set. The lace border is Martha Stewart. A thin braid of purple added to the top of the lace.
The glossy accents raises the image up and makes it stand out. Hope you have time to try this technique.
Have a great Monday. Thanks for stopping by. Until later.....
