BSS MONDAY IDEA - COLORED EMBOSSED CARD

Happy Monday!  It's my day to post for my local Stamp Store, Buffalo Stamps and Stuff.

This week's idea is to color those embossed images.  Saw this idea on Split Coast Stampers.
All you do is choose an embossing folder to color, I chose a Sizzix folder called Birds and Flower set, it was a set of two folders.  Then, using water based markers, like Marvy or Tombow or any other water based markers, you simply color in the side that is the INDENTED side.  After you have finished coloring, you "huff" on the embossing folder to moisten the ink, insert your paper and run it through your machine.  And like magic, you have created a colored, embossed  background.  You can also spritz the folder with a mist of water for a more water color effect.

All of the corners are rounded.  The sentiment is by Printworks.
Tied some matching baker's twine along one side.

Here is a close up of the colored embossing.  I did NOT spritz with water.

Hope you have a chance to try this technique.

Thanks for stopping by today.  Have a great Monday.  Until later...............

This looks like fun. I almost gave my water based markers away. Glad I didn't.
