Welcome to the Buffalo Stamps and Stuff Monday Idea.
Today's idea is a wonderful diamond background that you create yourself in about 5 minutes!
I saw this technique done by Gina K on her Stamp TV site on YouTube
Here is a link to her tutorial (She calls it pillow top background
Here is the card I made using this simple technique
Card Recipe
Stamp - Art Impressions (UMT3478) Kiss the Cook
Die cut - Spellbinders S5-107 Lattice Motifs
Colored with Copics
I used Ranger Distress ink (Mowed Lawn) to make my background
AND
I had so much fun with this wonderful technique, that I made another card!
I went one step further and after making the diamond background, I used my
glue pen and went over each of the main lines and added glitter! Love how it turned out
for this Christmas card.
Card Recipe
Papers - Light blue textured card stock
Diamond Technique, used Marvey Matchables ink
Swirl circle die is Memory Box (98343) Calypso Flourish
Ornament Die -Memory Box (98411) Emma Ornament I used white glitter paper
I used red mirror paper to back the ornament and added a red cord bow
This is such a fun technique with such pretty results.
Hope you get a chance to try it soon.
Thanks for stopping by today. Have a great Monday. Until later...........
