LIFE'S A BEACH

Hi friends. Wow, it got hot in a hurry here.  High humidity, sticky and hot. Ugh.......

I made this card for the challenge at Craft A Scene.  Haven't joined in their challenge in a while, but let me tell you what inspired me.   Several challenges ago, I entered their challenge with a card I made.
Two days ago, I had an email with a comment on that card from non other than Kevin, the Artist and owner
of Stampscapes.  Now, I am sure that he does not remember me, but I have been lucky to have taken three separate classes with him, three different years, while attending the Adventures in Stamping Stamp Show in Akron, Ohio.  I learned a lot in those classes, and he is a very kind, inspiring Artist who took the time to walk the room and find something encouraging to say to everyone who attended the class.  How exciting to have him leave a comment on my little ole blog!!  The comment you ask......one word, Fabulous!  I am honored, Kevin that you took the time...........

The June challenge at Craft A Scene is "By the Sea"

My completed card.

Closeups

I sprinkled chunky white embossing enamel by Stampendous along the
edge of the sand and the water to simulate the white foam that
slaps against the shore.

Most stamps are Stampscapes.
The seagulls, the whales and the plants in the left corner bottom are not
and the companies that made them are now out of business.
Stamped on White glossy paper with dye ink.  Colored with marvy ink pads
and the sponge applicator by Ranger, or in small spaces, Copic inks.
Bright sun was done by cutting a circle with a punch in a thin piece of paper
and then sponging with inks.

Thanks for stopping by today.  Have a good day.  Until later.............

This is really gorgeous. What a nice instructor to walk the room and encourage all of his students and then again to comment on your last challenge entry. Your card and he are both winners. Nice job, Sue.
