Hi friends, and Happy Labor Day. Hope you have had a wonderful
weekend so far. Going to be a hot one today, enjoy whatever
you are doing.
Recently, Sharon got a new line of stamps in the store. Lavinia Stamps. They are
Fairies and animals and scene building stamps. You can build your
own background, or they also sell papers in different sizes with
beautiful background for you to stamp on.
I had a play over the weekend, two of the cards are background I
made using distress inks, and one is from the papers they sell
for you to stamp on.
I also used some of the beautiful Penny Black scene stamps that I
have, as well as Stampscapes stamps. For the moon, I cut a die cut
circle and attached with removable tape and after completing the
background just removed the circle.
This was my first attempt at making a background.
I just used distress inks and the sponge applicator
to cover the piece of paper with color, leaving
some areas lighter. When I was finished with
the scene elements, I went around the edge with
Navy blue dye ink and dotted the entire card
with a white gel pen. I also used Crystal Stickles
on the wings of the Fairies and her wand.
This card is made with their papers, you just
stamp right on the background. Words are
also included in the collection and could
easily be used on the inside of your card also.
Another background I created for this card.
The large tree with birds stamp is one I have
had for awhile from Impression Obsession
called Birds on Trees. Look through your
stamps for trees, grass, fences, and anything
else that you could use for these fun little
scenes. Right now, Sharon has a large
selection of the stamps in the store, it was hard
to choose which ones to buy!
That's me for tonight.
Thanks for stopping by
