BSS MONDAY IDEA - PLAYING WITH ALCOHOL INKS

WELCOME TO THE BUFFALO STAMPS AND STUFF MONDAY IDEA.

Today's idea involves getting those alcohol inks out and dusting them off!

I first cut out a piece of white glossy card stock that my main image would fit on.
Then, using Butterscotch and Lettuce Alcohol Inks by Ranger, I added a few drops of each color randomly on the felt pad of the blending tool and pounced around the piece of card stock until I liked the coverage, leaving some white areas. Then, spray some blending solution by Ranger on the felt pad and pounce around the card stock, lightening and blending the colors, until you like the results.

Next, I stamped my image (Delicate Florals 40-103 Penny Black) in black Momento Ink. I colored in just the leaves with a green Copic Marker. Lastly, I stamped the script stamp (1999L-Letter Background, by Penny Black) with Versafine Watermark Stamp Pad and embossed with white
embossing powder. That's it. Mount your piece with a coordinating color mat.

Close up of image. I added this to a white 5x7 card base, with a yellow textured card stock mat
43/4 by 63/4 and a gold ribbon trim. Left this card simple to show off the beautiful image.

Hope you have a chance to try this technique. Try different colors while using the alcohol inks and the over stamp of the words.

Thanks for stopping by today.  Have a great Monday.  Until later...........

BOY AND RABBIT

Hello, have been busy last couple.  Today I took a ride to the craft store and picked up some new goodies.  I'm into the Martha Stewart punch around the page punch sets lately.  Got a new one today, so Will be trying that out the next couple of days.  Getting ready for the holiday and my Granddaughters 14th birthday.  Hard to believe she is going to be 14.  The years just slip by so quickly.  Seems like yesterday that Rick and I were standing in the nursery window at the hospital watching them weight and dress her right after her birth.  The nurse held her up and she was kicking and screaming and both Rick and I started to cry and the nurse said to her, there's your family, apparently you come from a long line of criers!!  Now she is tall, thin and even more beautiful and will go to the high school next year....ugh..........

Today's card is for Challenge #4 at Craft a Scene.  This month they want you to use a Silhouette cutout or image.  I have used a stamp from All Night Media.

BSS MONDAY IDEA - THE 2-5-7-10 BOX

WELCOME TO THE MONDAY BUFFALO STAMPS AND STUFF IDEA.
Today's idea is a small gift/treat box. With Easter just a week away, I thought it might be nice to share this little treasure.
There is a tutorial and video at:
With just one sheet of 81/2 x 11 card stock, and four scores on the
long side of the paper and two on the short side, this box comes together surprisingly fast.
The image is an adorable circle stamp of bunnies from Northwoods. I colored with Copics.

Here's a side view of the box completed.
I made several of these for small gifts for Easter, and they turned out so nice.
Takes about ten minutes to put one together, if that!

I'm entering this project into the color challenge at Color Me Creative Classroom, this months theme is Spring.

Thanks for stopping by today.  Have a great Monday.  Until later..........
