The Rose

Hi. Worked in the yard again today. Boy, how come weeds grow so much faster than flowers? Transplanted alot of stuff that was getting overgrown. By noon I could hardly walk! So ditto yesterday, I came upstairs and stamped. Went back out late in the afternoon and finished up the backyard. On to the side and front later in the week! My Mother's Day gifts of solar lights for the backyard that change color are creating a spectacular light show every night and I am enjoying it so. Today's card is a simple one, but so pretty. The rose was stamped inside (Stampendous) and the sentiment (Verses) on the front. This is a purchased tri-fold card from Michaels. The swirl is Sizzix. Hope your day went smoothly. Thanks for stopping. Leave a comment if you can. If you sign up to become a follower of my blog, you will be notified each time I post. It only takes a minute. Until later............

MOVING ON

Hello. Actually cold here this morning. But, once the sun came out it turned into a nice day. I worked out in the yard again today, trying to get all the beds cleaned of leaves and new colored mulch put down. Some plants around the pond have become overgrown and I'm taking them apart and moving some of them. Then, I can hardly walk, so I have to stop for the day. Ugh, it stinks to get old! But, then I come upstairs to the stamp room and nurse my sore knees and stamp. Today's card is for the Monday, House Mouse challenge. The challenge was to create a card that had something to do with moving. Any interpretation was okay. I love both of these images. The sweet fishbowl scene and the pond scene. The words were computer generated. Thanks for stopping to have a look. I appreciate each and every comment, it makes my day.
Enjoy your day. Until later...............

HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY

Happy Mother's Day. We had a nice lunch with our kids. Received great solar ornaments for the yard. The children were so excited to give the gifts and to see me open them and admire them. Now they have to sleep over soon so they can see the light show in the yard at night. Life is good. The card today is a Tilda, bringing roses to her Mom. I hope you were with the ones you love today. Thanks for stopping by, leave a comment if you can. Until later...........

Constillations

Hello. Thanks for stopping by. Quiet day today, ran out to Michaels to use my coupon. Found a couple of treasures, of course. Today's card is for the Penny Black Saturday Challenge. The challenge was to use black, white and one other color. The flower stamp is by PB. The word stamp is by Rubber Soul. I just got this ribbon today, one of my treasures and it worked beautifully with what I came up with. I wish all you Moms a great Mother's Day tomorrow. I will be going out to lunch with Rick and our daughter Heidi's family, yum, and I don't have to cook! Until later...................

They're Biting Today

Hi, I'm late posting today. Got off my schedule today with some searching for family history. Have been trying to trace my husband's family back to Amsterdam, Holland for years. Since no one is still alive who knows anything, it's extremely hard to find information. It's kind of like being a detective at times. Hope you had a good Friday and can now look forward to some time off for the weekend. We got an estimate for a new roof today, ouch! We are getting some more next week, yuck! Today's card is an adorable image by Rubber Cottage, Medina, Ohio. The fishing basket and fish are Jolee Stickers. It's going to be a birthday card for a little friend who turns four in July. The stamped fish on the card background are by Fred Mullet. Thanks for stopping by, leave a comment if you can. Until later.............

For Grandpa

Close up of bear.
The inside.

Hi. Hope your Thursday is going well, so far. Today, of course is donut Thursday. Every Thursday I stop and get a dozen donuts when I go to get my grandkids on the bus. They are usually ready and waiting, but Michael wasn't ready yet, so I helped him along so we could sit and talk. I also took homemade applesauce, which Michale, who doesn't like anything, didn't like, because it didn't taste like what comes in the jar!!!!!! Go figure! Today's card is for the Monday House Mouse Challenge. The Challenge this week was to make a gatefold card. I love
this stamp, and I made the card a Father's Day Card for a Grandpa, because this big ole bear reminds me of a cuddly Grandpa. The flowers are from Michael's in the bridal department.
Have a great day. Thanks so much for stopping by. Leave me a comment if you can. Until later....

Count Your Rainbows

Good Morning. Sun is shining and it's a beautiful day. Our friend in Texas grows pecans, and he sends us the rejects for the squirrels. I crack them open with a nutcracker before throwing them out for them because if I put them out whole, they run and bury them. I was sitting by the
bay window watching them gobble up those nuts this morning (three of them) and it was also a contest to see who could get the most and eat them the fastest. So darn cute. In between, the little finches were coming to the feeder and for stale bread I had put out. I love to watch the birds in the birdbath too, they are so funny. They all get around the rim and one goes in the middle and does this dance to get wet then shakes. Reminds me of the dance floor at some wedding receptions I've been to after folks have a couple of drinks. Today's card is a stamp by Magenta, one of my favorite companies. I stamped on glossy paper. The word stamp is by Inkadinkado. Enjoy your Wednesday. Leave a comment if you can. Thanks for stopping by.
Until later..........
